AMAZING! This place is so good and reminds me so much of getting a dipped cone on the boardwalk at the beach but 10x better then that because of all the cool dip flavors and toppings. The vanilla custard itself is SO good and creamy. It is the perfect texture. I got the cookie butter dip and it tasted just like a biscoff cookie. I really want to try one of the cores as well as I heard the hot fudge one was super good. The store itself is also super fun. Finished lunch and wanted to try Simons. It's a very nice shop and the staff are very friendly. I tried the cake batter dip with cookie dough chunks. It was pretty tasty. I was excited to try this ice cream shop because we saw it on social media. Me and my girlfriend went to go try it. I was extremely disappointed. The vanilla ice cream was flavorless and the fudge didn't taste like chocolate. The workers looked like they hated their jobs. The only positive thing was the amount of options and the look of the establishment. We got two Ice creams and it came out to 16$. The ice cream was no where near worth the price. We went one evening a few weeks ago based on hearing good things and my wife's immense fondness for dipped soft serve. The quick summary is "disappointing" and I truly cannot figure out the 4+ star rating. The place was crowded (and got more so as we waited in line). The service was disorganized, it was not at all clear who was helping whom at the counter and the nature of the serving and dipping process is very, very slow. Others have noted great customer service and happy people, but that was not on display when we were there - no smiles, everyone seemed stressed behind the counter and lots of chaos. Maybe they had new people (it was the beginning of summer) and its a stressful job, so I am happy to discount that as a "one off" and it did not influenced my rating. The store itself, while cute, seemed a little dirty, everything looked like it needed a good wipe down. But the biggest issue is the soft serve ice cream was just not good. Not creamy at all, felt sort of thin and not much flavor, it was just sort of "blah." My daughter got a non-dairy offering and her comments were that it had a chemical taste. Nobody in our party actually finished all of their serving. Dairy Queen is honestly better and less expensive, and this was not nearly as good as Goodberry for instance. Yes, creative dips and toppings, but the custard was just not great, so adding interesting stuff on top was not enough. This is a generous "3" and should maybe be a "2". Go to The Parlour nearby or head out to the countryside to Maple View Farm for really good ice cream, or hit a DQ for soft serve and save some time and money. read more

Found this place while walking by to a nearby restaurant. I love great ice cream. Unfortunately this was not great. It's frozen custard which should be rich and creamy. It was creamy but very lacking in flavor. The toppings I selected were quite tasty. The passion fruit was tart and yummy and the chocolate was good too. The chopped pistachios also very good. It's just that the base custard was bland and thus left the whole experience lacking. I would not return! read more

My family and I went here on a whim when looking for a good ice cream place to go to. They don't have a traditional menu (if you couldn't tell by their website and social media) and only have vanilla as an option (there is a non diary vanilla as well and a cookie sandwich option). You then get a cup or cone and choose a dip. The dip is a liquid substance that is poured on top of the ice cream, and then you can choose a core. A core is a flavor that goes inside of the ice cream. You then choosing toppings per normal. The topping seem to be high quality and a lot of work goes into making the dip. My daughters, who both don't really like ice cream, really enjoyed this because of the fruity flavors for the dips. highly recommend the fruity options! My husband, who doesn't really like vanilla, throughly enjoyed it this time, especially because of the fudge core. If your looking for something different, and family friendly (with a friendly staff and a clean restaurant) this is a great option to try. read more

if I could this place a zero star review I would. Arguably the worst ice cream I've ever had. The ice cream had a funky smell and my friends and I debated eating it but we eat it anyway. Maybe it was a bad day, but both me and my boyfriend had to toss our ice creams after buying them last weekend. I got the vanilla custard, cheesecake dip, and strawberry topping. He got the vanilla custard, with the mango dip. The cheesecake dip tasted like straight up sugar- nothing like cheesecake at all, and more like birthday cake if anything! The mango was incredibly artificial and was just sugar and food coloring. The strawberry topping was freeze dried and tasted like the strawberries in Special K. Really disappointed! read more

To give you a quick run of the basic process, you enter the establishment using typical means (the front door), then proceed to the counter. This is where decisions come into play: you must make your choice between dairy or non dairy custard. Then the decisions reach a fever pitch when you must make a selection on your custard dip. This review is hard to write because we wanted to love this place. The staff are so nice and efficient but the custard, dip, core and outside were lacking but I believe that the custard was the main problem. My first bite was interesting. I had a chocolate core, peanut butter dip and Oreo outside in a cup. I don't know how to say this so I'll just say it was like the custard ice cream was warm but standing up like it was frozen. Just an odd consistency with not a lot of flavor. I also expected a hard shell dip but it is more like a soft hard shell. I ate about half of the cup and asked my husband what he thought and he felt the same way. It was a disappointment for $20 including a gratuity which was well-deserved. We ended up throwing away half the serving. With a different ice cream base, I think I would return but if you have kids, they would love this concept and I doubt that the ice cream texture and flavor would bother them and would entertain. read more
