I had family drama and a lot of stuff going on with our family being divided etc. Simple Cremation really does stuff right and by the book. I could count on them to be professional and confidential. They dealt with me being next of kin and that's what my deceased father wanted. They made the process very clear and answered all of my questions. Providing funeral services is a business, that is a cold hard fact. Some funeral directors will play on your time of weakness and try to guilt you into spending thousands of dollars; this is what happened with the funeral home my father was taken to first. We chose to go with Simple Cremations because Richard, the funeral director, was up front about the pricing and there was no high pressure up-sell or hidden fees. He covered all of the paperwork and answered all of our questions. He made the process very easy and very affordable for my 84 year old mother and for that I am extremely grateful. This is a very hard time for most families to go through. I dealt with Bryant, who was very helpful. And when we had to schedule a viewing it was very difficult. At this time I called the management team. Dawn. She at first tried to help. Then she started getting rude and showed no compassion. She even told me that I planned poorly for this situation. She was also more concerned about collecting the money before setting up a viewing time. (WHO DOES THAT?) Dawn is in the wrong line of work for compass ion. In this business she should look at every situation as if it was one of her immediate family members. I don't think people plan on exact dates for deaths and arrangements. Then Bryce wanted to defend Dawn for what she said. And then proceeded to tell me if I was unhappy, I should change funeral homes and that I would be charged for it. Good Job Dawn and Bryce, I hope nobody else uses you guys and have to deal with you. After going g over to the offices to speak with the managers in person. Bryce said that there are two sides of the story of what happened and our did not matter. He brought in the office manager and she threatened us and told us to find another funeral home. She told me I have until Friday to find another funeral home or else. What will she do? I am kind of scared. The trust level is rapidly declining. What should I do? After signing and paying for. I get a call saying they are refunding my money and I have to find another facility. read more

I am beyond disappointed! My sister's ashes finally arrived, and the bag was not sealed, also the ashes were scattered in the box! It was a mess! I am scared from this and yet Simple cremations did not say, "we are not responsible for any damages. Knowing we were very sad and didn't take the time to read their clauses! I had been in contact with the folks at this location since our aunt was put into hospice care. When she passed, due to not having a will or any directive, there were some issues. Katherine was so kind and extremely helpful to us. She helped guide us and was able to get the signatures we needed for our aunt's cremation. Even though we eventually went to the Sahara location, we felt that Katherine was a kind, helpful and very caring person. I would definitely recommend this location. read more

I received a "reply" via my review that I can't see from the Owner/Regional Mgr of Simple Cremation in Las Vegas saying that Bryant disputed my allegations of his lack of following through with a text of vials available and colors, his total lack of empathy, considering the circumstances after my husband passed away on September 13th last year. What I didn't add is that Simple Cremation is tasked with contacting the Dr. listed on my husband's reports if he does not hear from him within 3 days of my husband's passing. When I got in touch with the Board of Medical Examiners on September 26th I was informed if the funeral home doesn't receive the form, they are obligated to contact that dr after 3 days have passed to get that form. In my case, that wasn't accomplished until the Director of the Board of Medical Examiners contacted the dr and Simple Cremation received the form on September 27th. The fact that it took me more than a month to finally receive my husband's ashes from Simple Cremation just added to the horror of my husband's sudden and unexpected death. There is no apology capable of comforting myself, my children, my grandchildren or our extended family after this. Steer clear of this place. Like most other companies in this town they are only interested in the money they can get from distraught families. read more

My father recently passed away and was a hospice patient. When the gentleman picked my father up and we briefly talked he agreed to the prices on the paper the hospice nurse had given me. When I spoke with Richard at my appointment he was so rude, all he kept saying every time I asked a question was " you can use a different place if you want." He should not be dealing with people who have recently lost a loved one. Once I mentioned to him that he was telling me a different price, that's when he completely changed. He told me 3 different times I could go somewhere else. So that's what I finally did. At this point when a family is talking with someone who is handling their loved ones and they have no respect or compassion it's just not a good situation. He definitely needs some coaching on how to make someone feel comfortable and not attack them when they ask questions. read more

I have never used a cremation service like this before. This is what the executor of the estate wanted and it was chosen just because I drove by the Durango location on a regular basis. What I found is a team of caring people who helped me in a difficult time. They were professional and did a great job helping plan my moms final needs. They were quick to deal with a last minute change involving a funeral home back east. I would definitely recommend them also for the reasonable cost involved when compared to a traditional funeral. They have no compassion and they have bad Communication skills . This experience has been a total nightmare for me. I just lost my father 2/6/2020 and I live in Los Angeles they wanted 2 charge me $85 dollars for each day for storage fee and also they charge me $85 to remove his Pacemaker from his chest ‍ I am his next to kin and they didn't even try to reach out to me I had to track them down to find out what was going on with his body and they would not let me see him before his cremation or less I pay them $175.00 dollars ‍‍.I have never been so devastated by this whole experiment I would never recommend they services to no one unless I was mad at you‍ ..I cry all the way back home to LA and they still haven't reached out to me to tell me anything yet...I meet with Richard Thursday 2/13/2020 to pay 4 everything and now it's Monday 2/17/2020....NOTHING!!!!! Planning for the death of a loved one is never easy, but Richard and Dawn at Simple Cremation made the experience as simple as possible. My mother had passed away last month and was transported to another funeral home recommended by the hospital. When my family found out the price of the cremation at the other place, I decided to do some research to find a more affordable place. I was fortunate to find Simple Cremation. The total cost was a fraction of what we were quoted at the other location. Richard quoted us a 3-4 week turnaround, but the cremation was done and ready for pickup in 2 and a half weeks. He provided us with options for an urn but stressed that we did not have to purchase one right away and that they'd be happy to move my mom's remains to a different urn if we chose to buy one from another place. We will be returning in a few months after we decide on an urn. They have 3 (I believe) other locations in the Las Vegas area and are happy to accommodate you in any that they can.
