I lasted over 7 hours which i think is pretty good for a first in person tournament and i had at that point only played for a few month. My experience was great. The players here were of different skill levels and friendly. Since it was my first in person game, I was used to playing online poker where everything was automated and so I thank everyone on my table for reminding me when to post my blinds and ante. The dealers where terrific and friendly as well. I was not too far from the the bubble too. Also they have unlimited sodas. Monthly membership rates are reasonable too.

They recently remodeled and moved tables around. I went to where my new table assignment used to be to learn it was now in another room. I cut through the bathroom instead of walking through the entire establishment as you are supposed to go directly to your next table. I was informed shortly after that going through the bathroom with tournament chips was not allowed due to camera issues. They pulled my chips and disq me from the tournament. This rule is not posted in any rules, on any forms, nor is there ANY signage stating no tournament chips beyond this point (bathroom). I was also informed I was not the first player they did this to. if this is such a major issue, WHY NO SIGNS???? I won't return for a while. There are other clubs that others are moving to as well that has their acts together.

Even our bracelets printed at the same time from the kiosk. The room was spacious and clean, located halfway down the hallway, which we loved because we avoided the elevator traffic noise. The food was very pricey and pretty basic. Once we ate, we headed to the park, which was an experience! The lazy river was a nice pace and the temperature was perfect. The rides were lots of fun and the lines weren't long at all. We also explored the adults only area, which was the cherry on top. It was quiet and the drinks were excellent. I do believe some locations are nicer and safer than others but I won't get into that. This location is nice and safe. And very well run. Obviously, TCH Austin is going to see enormous market-share gains due to recent events in the area. I believe smaller TX rooms without a fun vibe and character will fade away, market-share will continue to improve for TCH across the state and GTDs will continue to move higher. Side Note: Bullets and Champions are smaller rooms that are fun and have character and are on the good side. I believe the same thing will happen in Vegas. All the poker rooms at the ends of the Strip are closing, which is leading to increased traffic for the bigger and more centralized rooms. There is only one poker room left at the end of the strip and I think it has a few years left at best. However, Vegas rooms that are fun and with character--just like in TX--will thrive. I put South Point at the very top of that list. Getting back to TX, I think TCH is at zero risk of suffering the same fate as other rooms and will become an absolute juggernaut for a long time. Even if the casinos move in, they will likely buy the brand--if it gets big enough. These are just my thoughts and opinions.
