I took in 25 items and they bought 19 of them. One was a $278 Farm Rio dress from last season with the tags on, and they offered me $13. It's the only item I didn't sell to them. They knew I was waiting while looking at my things and never called me up or texted me that the order was ready. I sat another 15-20 minutes. When I approached the counter, the woman said, "it's been ready for a while". I said, no one told me and you knew I was waiting. Zero response. I thought it was really rude and annoying. I drove 45 minutes here to sell a bag which was in great condition from an in-demand brand. I was surprised they had no interest in it. I looked over their inventory and most of the designer brand bags they carry are Coach (which was not what I was offering.) They don't call your name when they're done assessing your items; they want you to keep shopping. They jot your name on a whiteboard and once you notice it's there, you can head up to wait in line to talk to them. I tried a few things on while waiting, ended up getting a small wristlet even though they sent me home with the bag I had brought in. read more

I love shopping and selling here. There is so many good deals and they are very fair on pay out for items they buy from me. I have tried to give this store several chances after management changes after years of loyal shopping. the manager in Fishers told me today that she was trying to do something for me which was the right thing, not just for me! I was told I did not receive a coupon the way I said I did! I was also told I could be banned from the store over a 3 minute argument. I wonder how her owner would feel about the 1000's of dollars thrown away each year because I was trying to explain how I received these coupons at the event you so say you had to donate money in order to get a coupon! I do believe that may be illegal first of all! Second, they were giving away all of these baskets that were donated from businesses from drawings through out the night from a realtor! Amazing that every single basket went to an employee but one while I was there! I have worked in retail for 40 years. The cashier was doing just fine with me. The coupon just wasn't working. Help your staff! That's why you are there! This was all because she had the nerve to say my daughter didn't have buys under her name only sales! who cares!?? They gave us these coupons! You all asked me 5 times if we had used them!!! NOOOOOOOO! We wouldnt have them if we had used them! So disappointing! 1 star. Upon entering, you'll be pleasantly welcomed by the clothing chromatically hung on the rack. It's beautiful. That's where the pleasantries ended for me. The woman behind the counter was very short with me as I was trying to bring a tub of clothes to sell. Once she finally started to listen, I told her the person she pulled up wasn't me - I've never had that phone number. She said they would put my name on the board when my sort was complete. I asked how long it normally takes and she refused to answer stating that they don't quote timeframes and I could just shop around while I waited. However, I wasn't interested in shopping. So I asked, "Do I have to stay in the store?" To which she answered, "No, you don't." So I went back to the car and enjoyed my smoothie. After about 30 mins, I went back and she greeted me again as if I'd never be there before. My name wasn't in the board, so I inquired and she stated they hadn't even started on mine because I wasn't in the store, but they'd start, soon. I went back to the car, waited 15 mins and returned inside. Finally, my name was in the board!! But none of my clothes were accepted. The clothes were returned in the tub EXACTLY as given. Folded and in the same order. No one even went through my stuff, but she claimed they were rejected because "women just aren't buying dresses". But there wasn't a single dress in the entire bin! Skirts, jeans, sweaters, brand new with tags items, too. All that to say... I won't even return. 45 mins wasted. I'd rather give items away. read more

Needs better management. Get the impression they have fav customers that they only choose to buy from. Have taken lots of nice clean upscale, stylish in-season clothes that they never want. Yet I continually see old outdated, worn items on their racks. Recently I looked at sweaters only in a specific color, and many of them were quite noticebly badly stained. When I mentioned this at the counter, and that I may have bought more items, I got my head bit off by the manager who stated that the items were likely damaged during their food & drink parties. It was clear she thought having the event was more important than having the merchandise ruined and on the racks as a result. Whether the items were not examined when they came in, or were damaged afterward, the merchandise I saw was unacceptable and leaves a poor impression of this store. read more

I found so many good items here! Including a pair of Clarks sandals that I had been searching for but were discontinued. But I found them here -- and in my size! That almost never happens, people. Never. At least, not to me. Simply Chic is basically an upscale thrift store. So, you will find used clothing and shoes here, but everything sold has been well kept and is in good condition. Many things are new with tags. I wear my clothing down to the threads, so I could never resell my clothes here, but many people I know sell their clothes to Simply Chic and make some money (or store credit). Since I've been trying to be more conscientious about what i bring into my home and what i have in my home, I've been donating a lot from years of accumulating things that marketing has tricked me into believing i needed. It's hard at first to part with things because at some point you think i paid for that but when you see your home and closet more organized and with things that are meaningful to you, it gets so much easier to part with stuff no longer needed. I wish i knew Simply Chic existed earlier because i could've regained some monies for my things but alas. They may offer you cash for clothes, purses, accessories, and shoes that are gently used and still in fashion within the last 2-3 years. You create an account with them providing a driver's license and sign that the stuff you're trying to sell its indeed your stuff. While you wait, you can browse some of the things others have sold and you really can find some great deals. Lululemon, Michael Kors, Banana Republic, and more. They consistently have a great selection of different clothes, and they pay close attention to what's in style and what women tend to buy. I typically donate all of my clothes to Goodwill, but my recent "New Kitchen Fund" inspired me to give the whole consignment scene a shot for the first time. Simply Chic was recommended by my fellow Yelpers (thank you all). I have to admit the process of watching your clothes be sorted and having them only keep three items is slightly tormenting. Red flag: am I super unfashionable? Orrrr....shall I slip on my rose tinted glasses and call myself a trendsetter? I choose the latter of the two. Personal wardrobe aside, Simply Chic is very clean and offers an extensive selection of brand name clothing ranging from suits, winter boots and jewelry to perfumes and skirts. Expect to find brands like BCBG Maxima, Calvin Klein and the like. The store is very well organized with three dressing rooms on the back wall. Located on 96th Street, just off I 69 is a fabulous find for any fashion conscious woman. Simply Chic has been around for a few years now, but moved into a larger location just last year. They have a wide variety of better quality women's clothing, shoes, bags and accessories at a very reasonable price. Different from most consignment shops, they purchase your items outright instead of sharing a percentage of the sale. They always have a nice selection in the current seasonal styles. I called during normal business hours and no one picked up. So I waited and called a second time. And still, no one picked up. So I waited some more..... Then called a third time thinking SOMEone has to care about their job and pick up the phone.... And no one answered. They just let the phone ring off the hook. Prices have increased insanely. This is a "hand me down" store. They should not be charging high prices for items they bought from customers for cheap, to sell to other customers for high prices. I shop at basically four places on the regular Dottie, Target, TJ Maxx, and here... I like shoes and accessories...they have them here, lots of them, cheap. Prices are fair but Mrs. F says she can find better some times online for used Lulu's. But we love coming to check out what the new inventory might look like from time to time. Since I understand that secondhand stores can only take so much inventory and have to be selective, not purchasing all of my clothes doesn't hurt my feelings. Soooo... I have a confession to make. I heard about this place from a co-worker who wears the CUTEST clothes to work. I legit complimented her everyday and she finally told me that she shopped at Simply Chic. So, when I went, I had such a great experience that I told my mom about it and her response was "Ashley!!!!! I kept telling you to go to Simply Chic!!!" That awkward moment when your mom tells you to do something but you don't listen until someone else says it. My Bad! I totally should have listened... Boi was I missing out! Well, I seriously did enjoy my time at Simply Chic. I loved how clean and organized it was. The clothes were gently worn and most seemed brand spanking new. I loved how the clothes were organized: by color and size. And the prices were unbelievable. The purses, dresses and shoes are totally perfect pricing. Since the prices were so affordable, I was able to get about 3 outfits for the price of 2. WOWZERS! Not to mention I found 2 pairs of work pants in my size. Major score! I loved how clean and spacious the dressing rooms were also. I have officially made this place my new store for work clothes. I left without buying due to the staff, not the product. I was encouraged by a friend to check it out since I enjoy consignments. The store is clean and well-kept. The clothes are nice and the brands compared to pricing are great. However, my reason for a 1-Star review is their customer service, or lack thereof. I entered the store at a none-busy time and received no greeting, no hello, not even a glance up from the associate going through clothes at the front counter, nor a smile from the manager. I don't need anyone to hold my hand, but geesh, at the end of a work day you want to see a smile, not the same scoff looks that you see throughout the day at work. I saw a lot of really cute things that I liked and will never apprehend someone from going to this shop, but I won't promote them or shop there. Just like with a restaurant, where the food can be 5-Stars and the service a 1-Star, it kills my mood and my want to ever patron the establishment. I always have pretty good luck selling my stuff here and Plato's. I feel they are pretty fair with pricing. My only complaint is I wish they were a little faster when going through things. Sometimes u are in there for an eternity! It would be really nice if they would allow u to at least sit in ur vehicle while u waited. That would be a HUGE plus. read more

First time discovering this store. Approached the door at 6:15 on a Saturday night. The door signs are hard to read for the hours of store. Young lady with glasses was right in front of us with the sweeper just looked at us and didn't acknowledge. The doors were locked, but we weren't sure on the hours. She totally ignored us. I have been to many of the stores around the Indianapolis area but think that the 96th Street store has the best and widest selection of designer clothes. As someone who is trying to #ballonabudget and be conscious of clothing waste, I absolutely love to get my work clothes from Simply Chic. I probably get more compliments on my Simply Chic clothing than any of the places that I shop. Most of the time, I can easily find clothing that still has the tags on. The first time you go, you will get a coupon for $10 off your next visit. You also get a small discount if you sell any clothes at the store. Just be aware that they are incredibly picky about what they buy. I took two garbage bags full of clothes and only had five or six pieces purchased.
