My mom got the coco mango. All were delicious. My mom got the crepe madame, my sister got the banana and cream crepe and I got breakfast tacos. We split the charred ricotta toast. I've gotten crepes from here twice and had very different impressions each time. The first time was a take-out crepe, and I was very underwhelmed. I felt that it was overpriced and not anything special. However, it is one of the very few places in the area where you can get a crepe. The most recent time was an in-person visit in which I ate outside. I wanted something refreshing, and it was beautiful and sunny out, so this certainly could have colored my impression. That said, I really enjoyed sitting on their porch with a berry crepe and a mocktail. Both were very fresh and had fresh berries in them. I do think it is a bit overpriced for a breakfast, but if you consider it a fun meal near the canal, I think it's very enjoyable! read more

Beautifully located next to the Erie Canal this tends to be a busy establishment with lots going on. Parking is free and close by the restaurant- but very limited and shared by several other businesses in the same area. Seating is tight and can seem overcrowded and a little uncomfortable at times. Staff is friendly and does their best to seat you as soon as possible. Food is consistent when we've been there and has some great options for those diners with a gluten allergy or sensitivity. Their home fries are delicious and the fruit is always fresh and delicious. Overall an ok meal, but think more of it as a treat or dessert type meal and not something of substance. read more

I am so glad my first Simply Crepes experience was at the much more crowded but much friendlier Canandaigua location. On a completely dead Sunday afternoon, with no other tables seated, they pushed for us to leave after a scant 45 minutes when I had made reservations and, again, there wasn't a soul in the place. Our plates were half finished when we were being asked if we wanted boxes. I asked after the location's hours, wondering if I had made an error, and they were to be open for another four hours. We didn't get to finish our meals, much less order a coffee or a sweet crepe. The space is better (and less echoing) than the Canandaigua location but I will be taking my companion to another location to try again because this was so disappointing - being pushed out on a fast food timeline in an empty restaurant after spending $65 for two people for a late Sunday lunch felt rushed, rude, and unwelcoming. Skip this location, visit one of the others and delight in the options for a variety of palates and friendlier service. read more

Attended a bridal shower event in the basement event space. The venue did a great job with food and service. The salad with strawberries and blue cheese was fresh and delicious. The biscuits with butter and jam were also good. The potatoes were crispy and great as well. The fried chicken could have been less dry and the breading more crispy. We are traveling through the area and found you for our first try. All 3 of my girlfriends agree that everything was delish. I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup. This is why I love having local friends haha. This place was great! The ambiance is wonderful, you walk in to an esthetically simple place. Its very relaxed, very cute. I think my favorite part is the open kitchen to the dining room, it's always fun to see your food being made. Lets talk food next. Delicious, absolutely wonderful. My crepe was light and airy, the eggs and filling were delicious. Chicken and waffles same thing, moist and beautifully seasoned chicken, a lovely crepe! My wife had a lovely croque madame crepe and she was exceptionally happy as well. Everything was well seasoned, fluffy, delicious overall. Service is the only thing I'll ask some questions about. I'll hand it to them they were busy, and I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what but I did order a drip coffee 'bottomless' and promptly didn't get a refill for most of the meal. Just want to begin by saying the service was very good. Our server was terrific and food came out reasonably quickly, even though it was busy. However the food.... I ordered the "shrimp tacos" which is what I expected. Instead my plate arrived with shrimp with toppings on three small pancakes all drowning in a watery liquid. I tried to eat one pancake with some shrimp (using a fork of course) but it was Simply Disgusting. It so happens we were taking a friend to lunch for his birthday, and he picked the place and seemed to enjoy his lunch, I decided to forgo my strong urge to send back this meal. Instead I ate the shrimp and toppings and pushed aside the wet sloppy pancakes. Sorry I didn't photograph it. Well maybe I didn't want to remember. So we ended up here's by default this evening because we were going to Cole Tower which was closed with no warning and then we try to Aladdin's which had a 40 minute wait and simply grapes said no wait... No wonder lol. It's very homie and very nice inside and if it was anywhere else judging just by the appearance I would say go there. The food is a bit pricey for what you get but it's solidly yummy. Not most delicious food you've ever eaten but it's above just ok. They also serve breakfast all day so bonus points for that! The problem that you generally run into at simply crepes both this one and the one in Webster is that the service is absolute crap. Pretty much every time. We didn't get any refills on our drinks Waters or sodas unless we flagged waitress down and asked her multiple times. She forgot to ring in our soup so instead of bringing it out before the meal it came with the meal. We went on a Friday and I had seen on their Facebook page the Fridays kids a free so I asked about it and she got a really crappy attitude and was very a detailed and describing what was and wasn't allowed like we were trying to somehow take advantage of that or something? She was very rude. She also was just totally neglectful. Another server brought us all the food even when it came out late. They brought us one meal then another meal in the soup and then finally the third meal It was very peculiar and I don't mean like they dropped it off went back to the kitchen and came back like it was 5 to 10 minutes between getting each of the three meals It was very strange. The French toast which we had ordered was good but had obviously been sitting in a not warm spot for a while as it wasn't even slightly warm. The rugby crepe was interesting and good a little weird the potatoes were fantastic. The kids meal was a huge disappointment. We got the quesadilla and mixed fruit. The fruit was some melanin pineapple which is fine but the quesadilla itself is just a crepe with some cheese in it and no sour cream no salsa and nothing no ranch dressing nothing to dip it in nothing to give it anything beyond a very one-dimensional flavor. I realize this is a kid's meal And it was free but I don't think I've been happy to pay seven and a half dollars for it. We didn't get any dessert as at that point we were pretty much ready to be done but the one other highlight was when another table asked the server how to say the name of the restaurant and she didn't know. At one point I even said to my wife We had to have done something or she doesn't like the look of us cuz there's no way service is this bad unless it's intentional. Almost every time I visit one of these restaurants with the exception of the one in canandaigua which pretty much always knocks it out of the park I always leave thinking that could have been great and it just so very wasn't. read more
