Amazing diner! We came here as we were in Rochester for a special needs ice hockey tournament. Many people suggested we try Steve's. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. He got a burger with a side of poutine. I got a western omelette with a side of hash browns. Very good. The best thing about Steve's? Our waitress - she was just amazing!

Finally made it to Original Steve's Diner the Henrietta location! This spot has been here for three years, and I'm glad I finally checked it out. We went on a Friday around 10:30 a.m., and it was already busy. We sat at the counter and were told weekends get even busier, so plan ahead! The servers? Sassy in the best way -- super fun and full of personality. The food hits the spot. While it's not heavily seasoned out of the kitchen, it's tasty once you add a little salt, pepper, or one of the multiple hot sauces they have on hand. The more you know! We both got the two eggs, home fries, toast, and ham -- a solid classic breakfast. The coffee is smooth, and the pancakes... Lordy, they are HUGE. If you leave hungry, that's on you. The space is light and bright , not too big, not too small. Bonus: if you pay with cash, you get a discount. Parking is available in a shared lot.

Service was welcoming. Food arrived fast. Everything was good. No mimosas here, but you'll find a huge menu full of diner style recipes with anything you can imagine and more. Chill vibes, 5 minute wait on a Monday morning. Overall good experience, but probably not on the top 5 of breakfast spots.

Great service. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The decor was cool and the place was clean. We ordered the Irish Benedict , Nutella crepe and Margarita omelette. The Irish hash was good but there was a spice in it that was so overpowering that I couldn't eat it. The margarita omelette was very bland and the mozzarella on top didn't melt and was tough. The hash browns were very good. The Nutella crepes were very good, there was a lot of Nutella inside. I will go back to try something different.

Went for breakfast during the week. Plenty of seating. No real waiting room inside restaurant. Food was hot and fresh. Server was friendly and attentive. New hash browns are an improvement over patties. Will be back!

I came here with my mom and Great Aunt. I got the cheese grits and New York Cheesecake Love cake with hot chocolate. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the New York Cheesecake Love cake it wasn't super sweet which I really like because usually pancakes with toppings are very sweet but this was just right. The hot chocolate was amazing! Perfect amount of chocolate taste without being over done. Our waitress was really sweet and very helpful with answering any questions we had about the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is very family friendly and had interesting decor. I definitely will come back here when I visit Rochester again!

Italian frittata opted for mozzarella cheese instead of provolone, which made this delicious

We had some time in our shopping date to try the original Steve's diner on Jefferson Road in Henrietta While waiting 15 to 20 minutes for a table we had to wonder why we were eating here for a scrambled egg Well, they didn't disappoint a customized what I wanted and the waitress said no problem Wow but the rest of my group got items off the menu and we're not disappointed. Either the food came out quickly fast and accurately One thing I do enjoy is the constant flow of fresh coffee and my mug never got less than a half filled I guess I'll have to wait 20 minutes in the future because they didn't disappoint.

We went for something out of our usual diner. It was recommended to us. Saturday mornings are busy, so we had about a 20 minute wait but the give a pager so we did some window shopping. The pancakes are a specialty, but we heard the corned beef hash was good & we both had a hash dish. The hash omelette was large & tasty & came hash browns. The "hangover " was pretty amazing and frankly more than I could eat! Service was excellent and the whole restaurant was clean & well run. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meal. Did I say the pancakes looked amazing . Next time...

Finally had opportunity to dine here after several attempts in which they were just too busy and waits were too long. This time, had to wait about ten minutes for a table for two. Waiter was good, restaurant was clean, but the food was a bit underwhelming. I was really hoping for better. Not sure I would return.

We had a very short wait and were a party of 5 seated with Miranda, who was about the brightest ray of sunshine one could hope for today. The food was absolutely delicious and I let her choose my bfast, as I was stumped between the Greek Benny and the Nashville Benny. We had the BLT, veggie omelet, chocolate chip pancakes and the Nashville, which was sausage, gravy and eggs with Hollandaise sauce over English Muffins. Everything was great and Miranda didn't miss a beat! Ambiance was hopping, perfect for your better than average local diner.. highly recommend. If I had anything negative to add... it would be paying $4.75 for a glass of Sprite.

Loved the baklava pancakes and the village breakfast. Both were large servings and great flavors. Very fun diner vibe with lots of space, and quick and friendly service.

All of the others who didn't measure up." But take heart! All it takes is taking off the glasses and letting its hair down, and suddenly you realize just how attractive and special Railway Station Diner really is! It's the quintessential reliable diner. Above average food. Below average prices. Regulars. A counter. Good service. Quick service. The Mediterranean frittata was wholesome and filling. The ingredients, fresh. It came with roast (up charge for raisin toast, but worth it!). The breakfast sandwich with shred, too, was perfectly proportioned; the crunch of the English muffin and the squish of the sausage balanced each other exactly equally, like Neo and Smith in that third Matrix movie. But the true hidden gem was the muffin. Cut in half and grilled. With sugar crystals! Not too big. Not too small. Not so sweet as to be dessert-like. Just perfectly sweet enough to make you not regret "going savory" by getting the frittata as your main course. Next time you're asked about the best diners around, make sure Railway Station Diner is part of the pantheon.

There is someone just circling constantly with a pot. This is a cash only establishment, so be advised. There is an ATM. We did go at slightly off peak times, since we weren't working those days, but at those times, the restaurant seems to be a favorite of retired men, which is a good sign for a diner! They have a set menu and a specials board that I think changes daily. There's 2 full pages of breakfast, and at least 2 pages of lunch, plus the board. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I had the same thing both visits - a cheese omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was really cheesy, and I liked that it was a 2 egg omelet rather than 3, for me it was just the right size. We also split a piece of the rotating coffee cake, cinnamon walnut that day, and it was good - not too sweet, plenty of cinnamon. The guy had their 2-2-2 combo and was happy with that choice. For both of us, breakfast ran about $35, for 2 entrees and coffee, plus the cake.

I had hashbrowns, hubby had home fries. Both were cooked perfectly. Crispy edges, soft & seasoned nicely. The next day, we came with our daughter. She has eggs benedict with side fresh fruit. Platter was huge with so much ham and potatoes with the eggs and Hollandaise, she couldn't finish it. Husband had an amazing special: a fried breakfast wrap with powdered sugar. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences. We spent 2.5 hours total at the restaurant. After waiting an excessive amount of time, we watched two tables that arrived at least an hour after us receive their food first. When we politely asked if our ticket might have been missed, we were told those tables ordered before us, which simply wasn't true. We were then told the delay was because burgers take a long time but a nearly two-hour wait for a burger is pretty wild. It took about 25 minutes just for someone to take our drink order, and we were never asked if we wanted additional drinks. We had to flag staff down for everything. No ketchup, no hot sauce, nothing offered. The $30 mimosa flight served in tiny glasses also felt like a complete scam. When the food finally came, two people in our party were served 15-20 minutes before the other two, and the food was cold. One dish had completely raw eggs. When I let the server know I couldn't eat it, she came back and removed the meal from the bill, which was appreciated. However, the interaction itself felt tense and dismissive, which made an already frustrating experience worse. They did give us a round of breakfast shots to try to help pass the time which was appreciated. The food itself was disappointing overall. The breakfast burrito was basically all eggs with raw, bitter avocado, and my husband's burger was missing requested toppings. We also noticed food sitting in the service window while we continued waiting. The only person who was happy with their meal got the biggie fries an it was hot when it arrived. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unheated on an 18° day (feels like 2°) and not clean. We're a pretty chill, patient group and understand that kitchens get backed up but man, this experience completely missed the mark. Ironically, the cooks thanked us for our patience and servers said goodbye pleasantly on the way out. We honestly may have let a lot of this go if the service hadn't felt so dismissive when we calmly raised concerns.
