Seriously just hire them When doing our initial wedding planner search, we were trying to find the team that best understood our vision, budget, and meshed with us the best. When we told Amy about our vision to have a baseball themed wedding, with a separate opening day ceremony the evening before, her response was, "hell yea!" and then she proceeded to tell us about her family's love of baseball and additional rental items her team could provide to help us achieve this vision. Her prices were significantly more affordable than other local planners we interviewed. It was important to us that we make our event kid-friendly, and she had lots of tips, tricks, and solutions on how we could do that without breaking the bank. Amy and her team helped us search for venues, play around with decoration themes, booked dress appointments for us, shared vendor contacts, built the cross and arch displayed at the ceremony, and coordinated with everyone who would be a part of our wedding so we had less of that burden. I wouldn't say that my now husband and I were the "bridezilla-couple-from-hell" type but boy did we take forever to respond to a message and only to then reply back with 50 more questions. Amy and her team rolled with us and learned how to keep us on track with deadlines. If we had listened earlier in the process, we could have saved some time in booking our dream venue and florists - seriously, our venue was everything we wanted it to be, and our florist was the kindest woman alive - both of these came from Amy's preferred vendor list. The whole month prior Jessica requested all contracts from vendors and went through all the contractual agreement details and she reached out to vendors with questions and day-of wedding clarification details. Now I thought Jennifer was on top of things pre-wedding because she had a beautiful laid out plan through Google Sheets and she had made sure all the vendors had come together as one to celebrate our special day. The amount of organization and attention to detail for something like this is not easy and she made it look effortless. Once we filled out what we needed to fill out like guest information (contact information, allergies, etc), table placements and all the other items, she was quick to look over what we had and provide any edits or advice on anything and everything. Pre-wedding Jennifer is a superstar. Wedding day Jennifer? Absolute beast. Every T is crossed, every I is dotted and with emphasis and enthusiasm. Our rehearsal went smooth and she was always receptive to hear what we wanted and as everything flowed, she could steer everything to make sure it did just that. Wedding day, the event couldn't have gone more perfectly. All those months of planning finally turned into the greatest night of our lives. Erica really turned me off in the beginning because she basically texted me every evening waiting for me to make my down payment for her services. That should have been my first sign to move on and look for another planner - I really liked my friends wedding so I looked passed it. She was very helpful in the beginning, she connected me with my photographer and gave me ideas for our sign in guest book - but that's about it. I originally booked The Reef for our reception site, but ultimately changed to the Vintage Rose. I didn't know that the Vintage Rose came with a day of coordinator, so I let Erica know right away about the issue. We ended up changing my package to strictly planning only. She didn't help me plan anything. I asked her for cigar vendors multiple times but she never helped me out with that. I asked her to make my timeline for the morning half of my wedding day, and even that was difficult to get out of her. What did I pay her for if she didn't even want to help me with that? She said, she normally doesn't do it unless it's followed very closely. Well guess what honey, it was. So thank you for doing that ONE thing for me. When I talked to my friend about all the things that upset me about Erica, she apologized and told me that she should have warned me. My fault for not discussing with my friend more before booking her, my aspiration for an amazing wedding day totally blinded me. I have attached some pics of our conversations - where she never gets back to me about cigar vendors when I clearly asked her multiple times. Then our message telephone we had ordered wasn't working and her worker Martha said you have to contact Cheers I'm sorry.. so we contacted cheers they didn't answer the day of event or after! And lastly we weren't told we had to take trays for possible left over food so all food was thrown by Martha and other ladies there !! Our main cake wasn't cut at all!!! Also when you guys sign a contract make sure they state if items are RENTED or included with the package...! Reason why is because we thought the money box was for our girls and Martha stated this belongs to us (Veronica).. we had to get another one to put our girls cards... This was by far the worst experience ever I don't recommend at all!! Look elsewhere they say look at reviews and we unfortunately realized too late!!! All she cares is about pleasing herself! She also stated she added an extra throne chair at no extra charge how is that possible if she knew it was two girls were they supposed to sit on each other's laps??
