She was always available to answer questions or provide updates, be it by text, phone, or email. As the big day got closer and things became busier for us, Queenie stepped in even more to coordinate with vendors, troubleshoot logistical issues (like creatively solving our catering parking situation with a carpool plan!), and make sure everything was good to go. Though my husband and I went into every prep meeting feeling a little chaotic, we always came away with clarity and renewed excitement! The day of is where both Queenie and Norm really shined. Shasele was our point of contact, and she was kind, thorough, and patient with us as we worked through all of our requirements and asked her a million different questions about the process. Claire handled putting together a gorgeous design brief based on inspiration photos we gathered, which definitely helped as we went through the process of selecting and working with vendors--all of whom were also incredible! An important thing I also want to mention is that I had a sudden health issue flare up partway through our venue search, which set things back by a year. The team was incredibly understanding and checked in periodically while offering well wishes until I was ready to return to planning, and I deeply appreciate how patient they all were during such a difficult time. Cindy's experience, consideration, professionalism, and honesty (this is a huge one) made what could have been a very stressful day into a stress-free day, or least as stress free as a wedding day can get it, haha. As the days approached the big day, we were already pretty happy with MLE, but once the big day came, they completely kicked it up into high gear. They were so seamless in working in the background to make everything come together with the vendors, timing, handling of guests, etc. We had a delay due to the florist, but they handled it so well that the guests couldn't tell, only we could, and even when we tried to get involved, MLE assured us that it was taken care of, and not to worry. They even went above and beyond in moving some flowers to be better positioned around our mirror guest list, which elevated how the florist had originally planned for. They were very considerate and thoughtful for us by making sure appetizers were set aside for us while we were taking pictures, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a big bowl of our seafood items sitting at our couples table, since we definitely didn't get a chance to get to it. Throughout the night, they made a point to bring us drinks, dessert, help with a small crisis on my mom's side. I really couldn't have imagined having a better coordinator the day of, I wish I had another big event to plan, because I would absolutely go back to them for their services. AND the amazing service doesn't even stop at the wedding day! Their follow up emails to reflect back on what went wrong or what went well shows how much they care about their work. They were very meticulous in addressing any concerns we had that happened on the big day and most importantly, they were honest. They were truthful about the reasons why some things didn't go as planned, and that to us is the most important trait in a coordinator that you can trust them. In the end, they were instrumental in even getting us partial refunds from vendors because of them not holding completely true to their agreements. Stephanie was by our sides the whole day - running around for setup, putting boutonnieres on, communicating with the DJ, letting us know exactly when to walk out for the ceremony and grand entrance, and being a personal bodyguard for us so we could eat dinner without guest distractions. She anticipated what we needed to do and what we wanted before we even thought about it. It felt like having a highly organized friend who was helping with your wedding. She is very easy-going, organized, and funny. She made sure to keep us on track and run us through all of our family photos and table photos as quickly as possible, but also let us film our Tiktoks in-between the important stuff. We also had Sam help out for the first half of the day and she was also very helpful keeping us hydrated, carrying my wife's dress around, and bringing us cocktail hour food. We found Stephanie through referrals from my wife's coworkers and she also was on the preferred vendor list for the Grand Gimeno. One of those coworkers said "I would get married again just to have Stephanie help me plan (and coordinate) my wedding." We were sold! We reached out about 9-10 months before our set wedding date and inquired about day-of-coordinator services. Stephanie was very personable from the start and organized, sending us a lot of the spreadsheets/worksheets after we signed the initial contract. Before the month-of prep meeting, we just sent her info of all of our vendors as we booked them and emailed back-and-forth. Once the month-of started, Stephanie started ramping up - she created our timeline and reached out to all of our vendors. She walked through exactly what we needed to do leading up to the big day and she was very communicative/available. We met Stephanie in-person for the first time during our 1-hour rehearsal slot at the venue during the week of the wedding. She was very friendly, talkative, but also detail-oriented and professional. Her timeline and guest seating chart templates were very helpful and I am glad she made us complete them early. I'm sure she did other behind-the-scenes work to alleviate some of our tasks and for that I am very thankful! We really enjoyed working with Stephanie and highly recommend her to any other couples getting married in the area!!

Honestly, the wedding coordination service did not feel worth the price we paid. We sourced all of…read moreour own vendors and managed/DIY all of the decoration elements ourselves. The coordinators' involvement was largely limited to basic setup and following the timeline we created together. When issues arose during the wedding, there was a significant lack of communication and problem solving. For example, there were problems with the gate crash games, and the top layer of our wedding cake went missing. As newlyweds, we were not aware that the top layer of the cake is traditionally saved for the first anniversary. Since the coordinators presented themselves as professionals with experience in wedding traditions, we expected them to provide guidance on important customs like this and ensure meaningful details were not overlooked. Instead, no one informed us that the cake layer was missing or explained its significance, and we only found out afterward. Additionally, the coordinators presented themselves as knowledgeable and experienced in Chinese wedding traditions, which was one of the reasons we trusted them. I specifically wanted my family to be present and able to watch the gate crash games. However, everyone was ushered out, leaving me completely alone in the room when my husband arrived to pick me up. This was extremely disappointing, as sharing this tradition with my family was an important part of the experience. The gate crash games also did not go as intended. While my bridesmaids were responsible for carrying out the games, the coordinators should have stepped in when they noticed things were not following the intended format. Given their claimed expertise in Chinese wedding traditions, they should have been able to recognize when the games were not being conducted properly and provide guidance or correction. During the traditional tea ceremony, the positioning was also handled incredibly poorly. We were placed by the photographer in a way that left our backs completely facing the groom's side of the family, meaning his relatives couldn't see a single thing. This is exactly the kind of situation where the coordinator should have spoken up and adjusted the layout, but instead, they stood by and let a deeply meaningful moment be ruined for half of our guests. During speeches, I made it clear everyone was to stand at their seats when giving speeches. Jeannie told one person to stay at her seat but allowed the other two to come onto the stage. Totally not consistent at all! Made that one person look bad for staying at her seat whereas the others went on stage to give their speech. That person at the seat was more important to me than the other two giving speeches! Yet they were not told to stay at their seats and allowed on stage! We also received multiple complaints from our guests regarding the entertainment: * DJ: The music was poorly managed. Every time I left the room for an outfit change, the music stopped completely, which disrupted the flow and atmosphere of the reception. * MC: While the MC was friendly, they did not help create energy or engagement among our guests. We had specifically requested that important announcements and activities be translated into Chinese for our elderly guests. Instead, the reception games were conducted entirely in English. As a result, many of our older guests did not understand what was happening and were unable to participate, leaving only the younger guests involved. Overall, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of communication, oversight, coordination, and cultural consideration. We expected a much higher level of attention to detail, guidance, and support throughout the event.

We got married at Cravens Estate with 200 guests. Cravens is (or "was" since we were told ours would be the last wedding there; damn those snobby, rich, complaining neighbors!) a venue where you bring everything yourself -- food, booze, tables, chairs, musicians, servers, etc., so as you can imagine there is quite a bit of coordinating that had to be done. Liz's team met with us several times in the six months leading up to our wedding. We had some minor snafus nailing down meeting dates/times because they were coming from out east and we live close to Santa Monica, but we made it work. Our venue added restrictions seemingly every month thanks to those pesky neighbors, and Liz and Daniel were good about brainstorming workarounds with us. As for the big day, everything went great. They basically took care of everything that we were too busy to check on ourselves, and I'm sure they were running around monitoring details as my wife and I rested/socialized/ate/drank/took pictures. Funny story, we actually had forgotten our ceremony candles, and Daniel took off for the nearest mall about a half hour before our ceremony to get us something that would work and came back all out of breath just in time. The effort was much appreciated. They kept things moving and on schedule but also were able to give us an extra minute or two with a table here or there. I brought a few blank checks to the wedding and used one to extend Liz's team a couple more hours. All in all, I highly recommend their services! The peace of mind alone makes it worth hiring them.

I got married on 10/6/12 at the University of Michigan football stadium (aka the Big House)…read more I'm from california and I knew Liz and Dae Gun were good so I hired them to do my wedding in Michigan. They agreed even though they were unfamiliar with the Michigan territory and our venue. We had to also communicate through skype & google chat. Liz's assistants designed and printed our invitations and programs (a separate addition I paid for). I was very picky/specific with the way I wanted them --- football ticket style invitations and foam finger looking paper programs. Everything came out SOOOO perfectly. They did it in a manner so that it was still classy, feminine and cute yet sporty. They are so talented. People even asked if they could save the invitations and email us their rsvp instead of ripping the ticket stub. As for the wedding coordinating, Liz is very very meticulous. Even my venue and vendors were impressed and commented that they have never seen such an organized and detailed timeline. She wants your wedding to be as perfect as possible. We met via computer 3 times where we went over the timeline and other questions she had for us. She asked questions I would have NEVER thought of. She covers everything from the day before to the end of the night so that you come and leave with everything. I am very impressed with the organization of This Is The Day. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I didn't know of any problems at all. My husband and I were so stress free. We just did everything they told us to do. Our MC had stage fright and ended up not making the flow as smooth, Dae Gun/Liz stepped up and guided him to make sure the flow of the reception went smoothly. Also, the day of, we found out we had to do the korean ceremony (pae bek). Liz and Dae Gun fit it into the schedule so smoothly. No one knew how to put on the head piece of the hanbok and the male hanbok, but Liz and Dae Gun did. They also guided us through the whole pae bek. They are amazing and obviously very experienced. The fact that they were in a different state didn't alter their skillsets at all! I don't know what I would have done without them. THANK YOU THIS IS THE DAY!

From the initial consult to the final product, I had a great experience with Corie and the Foxtail team. Not only was Corie exceptionally thorough, but she definitely listened to our unique vision of a very moody wedding and made it come to life. I was completely blown away by Foxtail's work for my wedding. I really don't know much about flowers, so I was not able to provide specifics regarding flowers I definitely wanted; all I knew was that I wanted florals that popped and made a statement. I only had some inspo photos from Pinterest and my design deck made by my wonderful wedding planners (Fetelle Designs), and Corie took those pictures and my design deck and made my wedding day florals even better that I could have ever imagined. My husband and I chose to do a floral centerpiece mock up about a month before our wedding day, and we could tell from the mock up alone that Corie nailed exactly the vibe we were looking for. The mock up was stunning - the flowers were fresh and they lasted longer than a week. Corie was also very flexible and patient with us - we made a somewhat last minute addition to our already extensive proposal. Corie was responsive any time I needed to update anything and she sent all of the proposals very promptly. She took my color palette vision and ran with it. I was so pleasantly surprised with how stunning the floral install was on the day of. I got the bouquet and color palette of my dreams. Florals are expensive and Corie was very fairly priced and she really made use of every flower. She used top quality flowers and it really showed. She was so sweet and communicative throughout the process and made my dreams come to life. I got so many compliments on the florals too! In fact, I'm still getting compliments on the florals!
