    As a budget-conscious bride with some professional event management experience, I was hesitant to invest too heavily into wedding planning services. However, I knew I didn't want to be finalizing table arrangements on the big day so my husband and I started researching. A friend recommended Radiant Love Events (RLE) based off their experience, and I'm so glad they did! I knew Rachelle would be a great match for us from the first conversation. As the owner and principal planner of RLE, her dedication to this industry is so apparent in the way she interacts with vendors and clients. Even before we committed to working together, she asked insightful questions and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we would have the ideal wedding experience based on our goals & expectations (NOT what was "expected" or "traditional). RLE's quote was not the cheapest one I found when doing my research, but it was worth the value tenfold. When we met we were still in the process of identifying our vendors , so she provided a range of recommendations based on our wedding theme and budget. Every vendor I contacted had such high praise for Rachelle, and some even went out of their way to work within our budget. What I found the most valuable about hiring RLE is the sense of relief I had after each of our meetings with Rachelle. Her calm demeanor and industry experience always put us at ease, even at those peak "planning panic" moments. We had a logistically complicated wedding (bride & groom getting ready at different hotels, ceremony location 30+ miles away from reception venue), and Rachelle helped us consider every detail to make things run as seamlessly as possible. When my husband and I were unsure, she provided options and space to help us make the best choice. When plans changed, she helped us pivot. She was always willing to provide her recommendations based on her experience, but was never pushy. She graciously took all our last-minute adjustments in stride, and added small but meaningful details to make simple DIY efforts really shine. I wholeheartedly recommend RLE to any bride looking for a trustworthy team that can elevate your wedding to the next level. You won't regret it!

    Where do we begin with how amazing Rachelle is as a wedding planner and person. I am so glad that our friend and photographer recommended her because we truly could not have done this without her! From the smallest things to the biggest things, everything beautiful in our wedding is absolutely because of Rachelle! She created everything we could have ever dreamed of and more! She made it feel just like a fairytale. Her design ideas and details were so beautiful, romantic, and modern. The seating chart, welcome sign and table, and sanitizing stations were so pretty! We rented out some of her decor and they added the perfect touch. One of the most talked about details about our wedding was the personalized gratitude cards that we used as name cards at each table. This was the sweetest and most thoughtful idea that Rachelle gave us to help our guests feel loved! Rachelle also beautifully designed these cards. She even created our invitations and our Signature Drink sign! Rachelle has great taste and it shows in everything she does. Lastly, I am very indecisive and can also admit that I am not the most fashionable person. Rachelle was so sweet and gave great feedback when I sent her images of outfits, accessories, and hairstyles. All of our choices were intentional and this made everything even more special. Rachelle also went through the rollercoaster of emotions and changes of booking a wedding right before a pandemic. After every set back, she was there to listen and offer guidance. When our venue rates were changed from what we originally thought, Rachelle helped us formulate ideas on how to discuss it with our venue. When there were issues with my wedding dress shipment and alterations, she was there to brainstorm solutions and accompany me to another location for alterations. When we considered changing venues, she went with us on a tour. When I was nervous about our choreographed first dance, she was there to watch us practice and give tips during our final details meeting at the venue. When we had unexpected last minute changes with our guest count two days before the wedding, she coordinated with the venue and made the necessary adjustments to our seating chart. When we forgot a few boutonnieres at the hotel, she came to save the day and expertly made two on the spot! When four of my family members and friends could not figure out how to put my wedding bustle on, she and her assistant, Kristianne, were there on the floor helping us find the loops on my dress. When I cried over the phone/email/text about any issue, Rachelle was there to support me. We will be forever grateful to Rachelle for making our dream wedding become a reality! She is our hero and the real MVP!

    My wife's bridesmaids paid for Liz, Daniel, and an assistant to work our wedding as a shower gift…read more I know the price though and I can say with certainty that it was WELL worth it and is something I would gladly pay for myself in hindsight. We got married at Cravens Estate with 200 guests. Cravens is (or "was" since we were told ours would be the last wedding there; damn those snobby, rich, complaining neighbors!) a venue where you bring everything yourself -- food, booze, tables, chairs, musicians, servers, etc., so as you can imagine there is quite a bit of coordinating that had to be done. Liz's team met with us several times in the six months leading up to our wedding. We had some minor snafus nailing down meeting dates/times because they were coming from out east and we live close to Santa Monica, but we made it work. Our venue added restrictions seemingly every month thanks to those pesky neighbors, and Liz and Daniel were good about brainstorming workarounds with us. As for the big day, everything went great. They basically took care of everything that we were too busy to check on ourselves, and I'm sure they were running around monitoring details as my wife and I rested/socialized/ate/drank/took pictures. Funny story, we actually had forgotten our ceremony candles, and Daniel took off for the nearest mall about a half hour before our ceremony to get us something that would work and came back all out of breath just in time. The effort was much appreciated. They kept things moving and on schedule but also were able to give us an extra minute or two with a table here or there. I brought a few blank checks to the wedding and used one to extend Liz's team a couple more hours. All in all, I highly recommend their services! The peace of mind alone makes it worth hiring them.

    I got married on 10/6/12 at the University of Michigan football stadium (aka the Big House)…read more I'm from california and I knew Liz and Dae Gun were good so I hired them to do my wedding in Michigan. They agreed even though they were unfamiliar with the Michigan territory and our venue. We had to also communicate through skype & google chat. Liz's assistants designed and printed our invitations and programs (a separate addition I paid for). I was very picky/specific with the way I wanted them --- football ticket style invitations and foam finger looking paper programs. Everything came out SOOOO perfectly. They did it in a manner so that it was still classy, feminine and cute yet sporty. They are so talented. People even asked if they could save the invitations and email us their rsvp instead of ripping the ticket stub. As for the wedding coordinating, Liz is very very meticulous. Even my venue and vendors were impressed and commented that they have never seen such an organized and detailed timeline. She wants your wedding to be as perfect as possible. We met via computer 3 times where we went over the timeline and other questions she had for us. She asked questions I would have NEVER thought of. She covers everything from the day before to the end of the night so that you come and leave with everything. I am very impressed with the organization of This Is The Day. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I didn't know of any problems at all. My husband and I were so stress free. We just did everything they told us to do. Our MC had stage fright and ended up not making the flow as smooth, Dae Gun/Liz stepped up and guided him to make sure the flow of the reception went smoothly. Also, the day of, we found out we had to do the korean ceremony (pae bek). Liz and Dae Gun fit it into the schedule so smoothly. No one knew how to put on the head piece of the hanbok and the male hanbok, but Liz and Dae Gun did. They also guided us through the whole pae bek. They are amazing and obviously very experienced. The fact that they were in a different state didn't alter their skillsets at all! I don't know what I would have done without them. THANK YOU THIS IS THE DAY!

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along. We had a Chinese tea ceremony during the morning and she was very patient with our traditions and super efficient getting everyone ready to be served tea next. I-Jou is truly amazing at what she does and helped bring our vision to life. She is incredibly thoughtful and made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way. During our welcome photos, we were sweating, and she continuously checked in on us, bringing water and drinks and even saving appetizers from cocktail hour while we were busy with photos. When we were at our sweetheart table, she went to grab us drinks from the bar and even brought us desserts from our dessert bar! I-Jou knew the right questions to ask and overall we felt well supported throughout the whole wedding planning process up until the end of our wedding day. Since she already has a working relationship with them, they are typically equally easy to work with. 2. Especially for vendors she's familiar with, she can quickly follow up with them, staying in the loop when we have questions and sharing her own experiences and suggestions from working with previous couples. 3. She understands Chinese/Taiwanese traditions, which made it a lot easier to us to work with her since we needed to preemptively identify pain points and important unique to our culture to avoid family headaches. 4. She had a great attitude even when our requests were vague (mainly when we aren't sure of what the exact solution is and only have a rough vision/idea of what we want) 5. She handled day-of stressful situations with grace and had great backup plans ready when things went wrong. 6. Despite being busy, she is very responsive when we need her. My suggestion for couples (in general when working with any wedding planner) is to be proactive and do your due diligence with vendors and the wedding vision. Treating the working relationship as a partnership. Doing your own research about vendors and wedding day formalities will really save you time and help fill in the gaps. Don't hesitate to ask questions when you're unsure about timelines and what is "typical" in a wedding.

From the beginning, she provided us with all the right tools and guidance, giving us appropriate questions to ask vendors, reviewed contracts, and shared insightful feedback that really helped us make informed decisions. She was never pushy; instead, she offered suggestions based on her expertise while always empowering us to shape the wedding in our own way to truly make it OURS. We had some pretty unconventional requests, and she never hesitated to support us. We genuinely felt heard and cared for the entire time. Queenie kept everything on track with structured meetings, a shared Google Drive, spreadsheets, checklists, and timelines that even we (as Type A people) found incredibly helpful. She was always available to answer questions or provide updates, be it by text, phone, or email. As the big day got closer and things became busier for us, Queenie stepped in even more to coordinate with vendors, troubleshoot logistical issues (like creatively solving our catering parking situation with a carpool plan!), and make sure everything was good to go. Though my husband and I went into every prep meeting feeling a little chaotic, we always came away with clarity and renewed excitement! The day of is where both Queenie and Norm really shined. Norm was a master at reading the room and keeping the music and energy lively. His attention to detail with his set up ensured everything worked smoothly. Queenie continued to shine and amaze as the night went on. Even with multiple obstacles and even some points of tension throughout the night, she went out of her way to smooth things over and keep the show going. We don't know how she did it with the random things popping up interrupting our detailed timeline, but we are so grateful to her ensuring we got every experience we wanted for our special day. The only caveat to that is we had to sacrifice a little of our dance time. We know Norm would've kept that party going late into the night if we were given the chance. Fortunately, I came across Amormagic's wedding samples on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), and I was immediately captivated by their attention to detail and their keen sense of aesthetics. After sending them a message, I received a reply the very next day, and we quickly scheduled a video call. Mandy gave me a very professional first impression, asking me many questions I had never even thought about. Since my husband and I are both people who dislike hassle and lack creative ideas, we quickly decided to entrust Mandy with the entire wedding design and planning. Linsey was assigned as our wedding coordinator through the vendor package at the venue and it was truly the stars aligning rather than luck. Linsey did an incredible job. She took time ahead of the event to get to know us, the other big players(photographers, DJ, our wedding party) which resulted in everything going perfectly throughout the evening. So many of our guests have told us it is the best wedding they have ever been to, and a lot of that credit is due to Linsey. She thought of literally everything. Her ability to ensure us as the bride and groom were having the best time ever while still keeping everything running like a well oiled machine is something I can't wrap my head around. She is a natural in this space and has very much found her calling. Maybe Leah was secretly there too. If we had the opportunity to start over, I would not hesitate to get the full wedding coordination services of the Double Knot Twins. Our day would surely have been even more magical with their support through the entire process. No matter what level of coordination you need, Linsey and Leah should be your first choice. They helped me through the whole process and it was crazy because sometimes I swear they were reading my mind and each others at the same time. This made the day of so easy because it was 3 people and 1 mind. If you are a control freak/anxious person like me then you HAVE to hire these two!
