I've never before reviewed or even had Yelp installed. This place was so amazing I had to get the app and write a review. Firstly, I went here with coworkers while in Cleveland for a conference and one of the my coworkers is gluten intolerant. The owner and staff went out of their way to try to find delicious items for her to enjoy. Secondly, the owner and staff provided a great atmosphere to enjoy our meal. It was the little touches that made this meal an experience. The owner continued to find things for my coworkers and I to enjoy even though we had finished ordering and brought out samples of various dishes. The owner also shared the stories behind some of the dishes and brought out a wine (Retsina) from Crete for us to try. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Thirdly, it wasn't just us that was treated this way. All the people before we arrived and after were treated the same way. When I travel places I generally don't repeat eating at restaurants in an effort to experience as much as I can. I will DEFIANTLY be revisiting these restaurant again before I leave for home. read more

This place was fantastic. It's very low key - order at counter and wait for your food. The farther and son owners were so friendly that I felt like a regular. The food here is amazing. It's really fresh and delicious. But no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask, and there was no social distancing in the restaurant, which was crammed. The employees wore gloves, but touched everything with them, so not helpful, and probably harmful. A long missive on the door shows that they don't worry about COVID, but they need to put this on their website too, as I certainly wouldn't have ordered take-out, had I known. The BEST Greek restaurant in town. Hands down. My oldest daughter will be attending CIA right next door and we have eaten at this place twice when we have had to go on the campus. I really love the chicken souvlaki and their Greek fries. They are generous with the feta cheese. My daughter says they have the best baklava she has ever had. The staff is nice and prompt and I couldn't believe they remembered us on our second visit! The decor is super fun with all of the humorous posters and odes to one of my favorite comedians, John Belushi. I look forward to eating there more often. read more

In town for work and wanted a good burger. What I got was hands down the best burger that I've ever had and more delicious onion rings than I could eat. I was a little bit put off by the staff not wearing masks as I work in healthcare and am sick of this nasty virus. In fairness, the woman at the counter taking orders was masked. I was clarifying something on the menu because I have dietary restrictions and the employee at the counter was very rude and sarcastic to me about asking if chicken was on the menu. I was only asking because I have been in previous situations where meals with chicken have some other meat and i was only clarifying. I did not appreciate the tone of the employee and as a customer with a restricted diet, I think they could do better. read more

I've been a student at case for almost 5 years now, and the customer service here is by far the best I've ever experienced at any restaurant near University Circle. Every time I've come, there are free samples of baklava cheesecake. It goes without saying that the food is great. They have a pretty extensive menu, and you definitely get your money's worth. Simply Greek is simply amazing. It's a classic deli counter. Very small dining area, but with a great vibe. I will certainly be back many times. I ordered the gyro and hand cut fries (with bacon and cheese on the side). Both were outstanding. I lived and worked in the Detroit area for many years. With its huge Greek population, there are countless Greek restaurants and delis and I've eaten at a lot of them. I've had gyros. Many, many gyros. This one was easily the best I've ever had. Generous size - I can't imagine how big the larger one is. Great flavor. And the fries were outstanding too. A single order is definitely big enough for two people. The service was very quick, and while we were eating, the owner came by to check on us. I really appreciated that. He recommended the burger, said it was voted the number one burger, either in Cleveland or in Ohio, I can't remember which.. I can't wait to go back and try it! read more

I ordered the biggest gyro got it home and it was a soggy mess I was so disappointed. The pita melted away think soaked off all the sauce. I could not eat wasted $12.00 bucks. I went here yesterday based on reviews form a family member. Immediately after I walked through the door I was offered a fresh sample of baklava, which was amazing. I was surprised by the beer and food selection. I ended up ordering a gyro with no tomatoes and an order of fries. The fries were great and had a hint of rosemary. The gyro was also delicious as well as huge. I can't stress enough how surprised I was with the quantity and quality. The food was great. I hate to reference another restaurant but the gyro was about the size of a chipotle burrito. Overall, I will be returning to Simply Greek to further explore the menu and will be recommending it to friends as well. read more

Peter is one funny, cool dude! We read the wonderful reviews and had to give Simply Greek a try...ordered pickup and upon entering the establishment the lively vibe just hit us smack in the face. Had a great conversation while they made the "meats" in a quick minute to ensure it being hot n fresh. Excellent experience! The gyro was humongous, I really wanted more Tzaziki sauce, note to self - next time get more Tzaziki on the side. So, I digress. Anywho, when we get to the hotel we realize there is no Bakalva. We immediately call back for yet another pickup. What happened next was definitely over and beyond! They had the Bakalva and some other home made freebies (homemade rice pudding) delivered to our room! Way cool, eh? And if all this wasn't dreamy enough -- the food was delicious! Tons of succulent meats in the Gyro, the chicken in the salad just melted in your mouth! Well, out of this world good. First I was extremely disappointed that no employees were wearing masks. Even more upsetting is that the owner has a sign up as to why they will not wear masks.
