I made an appointment here to get a new battery in my iPhone. When I walked in I was warmly greeted by Tyler. He was super friendly. As a new employee you can tell he is still in training but it is obvious they have hired a great employee in him. I knew the battery would cost me $49.99 but was surprised to hear that they charge $19.99 on top of that for labor. I got a written estimate and left knowing they would call me when it was ready. I received a call within about two hours telling me my phone was ready. When I walked back in Tyler was the only one in the front working. When he went to ring up my charge it was almost $82 instead of the $73 I had been quoted. Tyler apologized profusely and said he had not added in the $6.99 parts processing fee. As a new employee he is still learning but this really annoyed me since I was already irritated that there was an additional labor fee that I wouldn't be paying at the Apple store. Since he was new and felt really bad I just paid my bill and left. I received a survey from them a few days later and expressed why I wasn't a happy customer. I received a call from the manager, Ryan, wanting to follow up on my survey. I returned the call a few days later when I got back to town from a trip. I was told I would get a call back from Ryan that night. I never heard from him. A few days later I called again and was pretty annoyed. Ryan was very apologetic and wanted to make things right. This is why they ended up with five stars from me. I felt like Ryan really listened to what I had to say and accepted responsibility for their error. He wanted me to be a happy customer and wanted to step up and fix where they dropped the ball. As a customer, I know places are going to mess up. What is important to me is how they handle their mistakes and I feel Ryan and Simply Mac did a great job with that. I would go back. read more

You guys rock! I love coming to your store! Every time I come in I get friendly, helpful service with no sales pressure. Employees are willing to spend as much time with me as I need -- I never feel rushed. I came in to buy a new Mac to replace my 2014 MacBook Air and the first thing Ryan did was ask me about how I use the computer, etc. Then he said I don't need a MacBook Pro, just another Air. When does a salesperson ever DOWN-sell you something??? He patiently answered all my questions in layman's terms so everything was easy to understand. Coming into Simply Mac is SO much better than going to the Apple store. Just walking into the crowded and hectic Apple store makes me anxious and nervous! Let me say that these are the sweetest individuals. They're so friendly in person and kind to talk to about issues. But service and timeliness is absolutely horrible. My laptop was in for several weeks and I received no updates. Even when I called it took forever to actually talk to someone. Extremely Overpriced Repair I do not generally leave negative reviews but today I HAD to mention the extremely overpriced repair quote I got when I took in my laptop. I was told that the part would be $79 and the repair $99 - $178. Later I went to the Apple Store at mall of Georgia where they quoted $48 for the part and $39 for the labor - $87. That's just less than HALF of the cost at Peach Mac. Ouch! read more

Honestly, I personally do not like this store. Everyone is super nice, but in terms of support, it lacks here. If you go to the Apple store, the service is more professional and are better in making sure your product works. I also noticed that the store isn't competitive in pricing. Best Buy and other electronic stores always have better deals. I don't see the point in buying something here when I can get it somewhere else cheaper. NEVER TAKE YOUR APPLE PRODUCTS HERE. We took our almost new MacBook Pro here for a simple battery issue because the Apple store was booked. The computer sat there for two weeks, we got no updates. After WE called and were on hold for over 45 minutes, they told us they didn't fix the issue. We went and picked it up and found that they COMPLETELY WIPED THE SYSTEM. Truly horrible in all facets of technology knowledge and customer service. Avoid at all costs. Had diagnostics for memory issues and replaced ram which worked for a year. Was not capable of testing a stick and sent me to oem for any potential warranty after I waited for 15 minutes without an acknowledgment that I was even present in the store. read more

I dropped my computer off two weeks ago for a repair and picked it up today. The original estimate for the repair was over $700 due to a light display panel that needed to be replaced. I left a voicemail with the tech stating that I did not want the repair, since it would be so expensive. The tech must have misheard my message, because they ended up making the repair and called to tell me it was ready. When I went into the store today to clear it up, I explained what had happened and the store manager gave me the fully repaired computer, with the new part, free of charge. They made right on their miscommunication, and they didn't give me any trouble about it. Great customer service experience overall. read more

There is not 1 specialist in this store. I was appalled at the customer service and lack of knowledge that these employees had--they didn't even know how to work the Apple Pay system for crying out loud. Will NEVER be back. The employees in the front, despite their incompetence, denied my request to talk to the service manager. The guy who was sent to "help" me also had no customer service skills, had a very negative attitude, and made some snappy comments under his breath. They have 0 knowledge on anything; my brother even told me that he came here a separate time and they weren't even able to upgrade his iPhone software.. I left feeling quite dumber actually. The irrelevant, incorrect input they tried to pass as fact was quickly refuted when I went to the ACTUAL Genius Bar at the Apple store--at Apple, they told me that If I had followed their advice I would have lost all of my crucial files. A month ago, they provided me incorrect information about Apples's iPhone battery replacement program not expiring at end of 2018. So I didn't worry about being in a hurry. Then I noticed the battery level had decreased so I stopped in again to inquire about getting it done. They then told me the program was expiring so since it was just a few days before New Years I checked but appointments were booked until Jan 2nd. They would not honor the original $29 price. They also said their store person that provided that info had been fired for giving customers false information. They are supposed to be an Apple approved vendor but still didn't know the correct information nor do they make it good. I came into this location a couple weeks ago to get my laptop fixed. I first went to the apple store, which the pricing was outrageous! So they recommended this location and I was extremely pleased. They don't actually do any diagnostics on computers. They take the device to the back .. wait and then tell you that some major hardware needs to be placed at a high rate. They're hoping that you buy a new device. Sick way of running a business. read more

13 Yelpers can't be wrong. I'm really displeased with this place. Yes, it's way closer than any other Apple store location for me, and way, way less busy. However, I think I'll make the extra drive next time I need something. For one, I wanted to order the Apple 2 watch, which I get is in high demand. Of course, I want it yesterday, and these types of stores are always going to get merchandise slower than just ordering from Apple themselves. And it's not like you're saving any money ordering from here, so I fail to see the allure of doing business here. The staff is decently friendly, but I walked in to also ask a question on transferring music from my Mac. She said that they would be happy to show me, but told me there is a service charge for showing me how to do something. I bought my Mac from these guys, yet they won't show me how to do something without charging me an extra fee? I came here once before with an issue with my new iphone 6, and after an hour wasted, they sent me to the Apple store. I bought an iPhone 5 charging cable with a one year warranty. I had a problem with it after 45 days and they would not replace as they said Apple might not give them credit as a damaged item. This cable was in great condition with no visible signs of abuse. They like to keep the manager in the back and make you wait for 10 minutes for the bad news. Totally lame! It seems to be a paradox when it comes to service. They do a great job, and my suggestion is to not take a No from the Sales Department about a service you need. Make sure you speak to someone in sales. One sales person tried to tell me they could fix my computer, I asked her if I could speak to a service person. She said she was, but I know the guys in the back to be very accommodating. What is interesting is that a place that sells communications and computers, doesn't have a highly functioning website, and getting through on the phone is difficult. Went into to buy a hand full of items. Our 4 year old had to go to the rest room bad and the staff told us they didn't have restroom even though we have used it dozens of times over the years since this store opened. Made us walk around the shopping center to take our 4 year old to the restroom. Left all purchases on the counter and walked out of the store. Not just because they didn't allow us to use the restroom but because they lied to us and had such terrible attitudes. The one lady there "Thea" with black hair and a grotesque nose loop hanging out of the bottom of her nose was rude beyond question. Zero service skills and a chip on her shoulder. Professional website. Easy to maneuver voice-mail system. Unfortunately, customer service is non-existent. They missed an appointment that took days to get due to inclement weather (not their fault). This was for a simple iPhone battery replacement. But I was sent to the proverbial "back of the line" on the reschedule. I was treated coldly, with no regard for the situation, when I was able to get through on the telephone to request a reschedule. They rescheduled my appointment for 6 days later. I immediately called Batteries Plus in the same geographic area and explained the situation. They were extremely responsive and scheduled the work within 24 hours rather than 6 days. Made an appointment thru Apple to have the battery replaced in my phone. A few days later received a confirmation of this appointment by email from Simply Mac with instructions. Followed all instructions in the email. The next day I arrived a few mins early for my appointment and was greeted by a nice young man which appeared to be the only employee in the store or for that matter the only person in the store due to no customers being there except me. The man checked my appointment and told me to wait while he went to the back room to tell another employee I was there for my appointment. When he opened the door apparently all of the other employees were sitting in the back room talking. He was told by a female employee to ask which model my iPhone was. I thought this was strange since I signed in with my Apple ID and serial number to make the appointment. Anyway after I told him the model, the female employee told him to tell me that my phone had been marked as vintage and the battery couldn't be replaced. I thought this to be strange so I checked the email from apple as well as the email from Simply Mac which listed specifically my iPhone model as being a model that can currently have the battery replaced. So I then left the store and called apple to confirm that my phone could have the battery replaced. I was told that the information I received from Simply Mac was incorrect and my battery could be replaced and I should make an appointment with the Apple Store. They explained to me that even though Simply Mac is authoroized thru apple they would recommend only using the apple store for service. So lesson learned, even though it is closer and seems more convienant, it is definitely not. I will never go back to Simply Mac and I wouldn't advise anyone I know to because at the very least they are unknowledgeable about apple products and at worst are just lazy and do not care if they have any customers or not. read more

Terrible service. Went in on Friday to have my screen fixed and was told I had to make an appointment. At my appointment...they ordered the screen. I was told screen would come in on Sunday and could be placed with no appointment. Arrive on Sunday and my screen is not in. Get told that it will be in on Monday. Guy makes a production of putting a note that I will be called when it comes in. Of course I'm not called. I call on Tuesday and and the screen is in. Again get told I don't need an appointment. Arrive on Wed to have screen fixed. Get told they can't get to it today because they have too many people ahead of me. Told them I don't care what I signed I'm not paying them for the screen and walked out. Never again. Would rather drive to Atlanta to a real Apple store. Not worse my wasted time read more

We were referred to this store for a simple fix on my iPhone. The man at the counter was condescending and rude. (He's cheerful at entry but that's where it stops) I tried to explain my problem to him and he treated me like it was my first iPhone. He referred me to a tech girl and he introduced me by saying 'she was referred by SPRINT across the street. The girl (dark curly hair, long pointy blue fingernails) looked at me and said (verbatim) 'oh goody.' In a very crappy tone and I'm frankly mad at myself for not calling her out!!! How awful of me for daring to go to her Apple Store to fix a problem on my PURCHASED Apple device. I came in with an older Macbook Pro that had slowed down out of no where and the service department was very helpful and told me exactly what was wrong with it and told me that they couldn't replace the parts because the parts were too old for them to carry but gave me plenty of information on what I needed and who to contact if I wasn't comfortable doing it myself. I had such a disappointing experience at Simply Mac. Apple set up an appointment for me because my iPhone 11 isn't turning on... I had tried doing all the recommended updates and upgrades... yet nothing worked. When I arrived at the store I was told NOTHING new! They said we can restore your phone but if that doesn't work then we will have to send it to Apple to be erased. I already knew that and had tried updating countless times. Apple support knew this and that is why they sent me to the Simply Mac store. The guy helping me proceeded to tell me it was going to be a $30 dollar charge to do what I had already been doing. He said even if the update didn't work (it was not going to work) I would still be charged. I would not have wasted my time driving out here if I knew they couldn't do anything more than what I had already been trying. AND WHY ON EARTH WOULD I PAY $30 TO HAVE THEM DO WHAT I CAN EASILY DO AT HOME. Not a good experience at all... highly disappointed... his only response is ... Get this... she told us that it was easy to shut off the pictures on her new I-7 and still get them via cloud to other devices. Answer YES... Spent $2,000 on new one and as soon as she got the money...SHE, tells my wife, that it will be additional $99 for the transfer. No disclosure before the purchase. There's a reason for the low rating. I went here out of convenience instead of using a much cheaper service that would come to my door. I went in to get my screen fixed, they installed it incorrectly, but were going to try again for free ( which I appreciated) but after about 5 hours and emailing them asking when they'd be done, I decided to go and see. She immediately went and got the phone as it had been ready for a while im assuming. Some of the staff seemed friendly but a few did have an attitude. I scheduled an iPhone 6 battery upgrade last week at the Cumming, GA store. When I showed up at my appointment time the clerk only then informed me that because they are not owned by Apple they price their upgrades higher but would give me the upgrade at the highly discounted rate of $50. Nowhere in the scheduling process through Apple did I ever see the cost would be more than the $29.95 promised by Apple. I called SimplyMac earlier in the day to confirm my appointment and the amount of time the upgrade would take. They waited until check-in at the store to inform me of the up charge. Not an honest way to conduct business. Be careful to get solid quotes in advance if you choose to do business with them. I left. read more

I stopped into PeachMac to get some new charging cables for my iPhone 5 after the cheap ones I bought on amazon died in less than 2 hours. I was annoyed and planned to spend the $19 to get the actual Apple charging cables, but sadly PeachMac didn't have any. The sales guy was friendly and told me that the Griffin brand ($0.99 more expensive than the Apple cables at $19.99) tend to be pretty good, so I trusted him and bought 2 of them. So far, so good. Everyone I encountered in the store was friendly and helpful, but not annoying. That's a plus for sure. I didn't like that if my cables die after 14 days I'm just out (that's their return time, apparently) and I didn't like that they don't carry the Apple brand cables. Not huge complaints, I just expected a little more, I guess. In the end - as long as my cables keep working! - I'd rather give my business to a local place like this than battle the crowds of the Apple store at NorthPoint mall. Very disappointing customer service. Two months ago I went into the store to purchase an iPad pro. They did not have what I was looking for and did not care to order the model. Very poor customer service trying to assist me and did not care to help. I went down the road and purchased from somewhere that cares about their customer service. Today, I went into the store to find a cover for my iPad pro. They had what I wanted and I was willing to pay the price for it but when I got to the register.....I was told they only accept credit cards that have a "chip" reader. No customer service once again and I left the store without a purchase to go somewhere else for service. This was the last time I plan to return. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more
