Should have read reviews here before heading to this store. Simply dreadful! My iPhone stopped working and after charging me the $29 for diagnostic, I was told it was not fixable because it was wet. Needed to get a new one, might as well trash it. Thank goodness my husband researched online, followed several recommendations and was able to FIX it! Went back to store to get a refund on the wrong diagnostic and manager refused saying it was an 'intermittent' issue. Do not recommend it at all. Get a second opinion before you spend hundreds of dollars on a new device because of their ignorance. read more

09/08/21 I should have taken heed of previous reviews. I took my MacBook Pro in for an assessment and screen repair due to what I thought was a quality issue from Apple. The tech looked at my laptop for less than 1 minute discussing with the other rep at front desk and came back with "it doesn't qualify for that program. It will cost you $750 to replace screen"!! I left and returned after researching further and speaking with Apple Support and they stated it sounded like it would be covered under the Backlight Program and could repair for free. All I had to do was go to Cumberland Mall location (Apple store) for diagnosing. Tech at store verified SN of computer and completed assessment. Confirmed it qualified and sent it off to Apple for repair. Received it back today (total turnaround was 5 days) and works great. Saved myself $750+ by researching and not just taking the Simply Mac's techs advise. Do yourself a favor and find another repair shop if needed... this one "simply" wants to get your money! read more

My charger malfunctioned for my MacBook Pro. Yes, I'm still using it . It works like the day I purchased it 5 years ago. However the chargers for all of the electronics the phone...ect doesn't last long at all. The material that covers the wires always peel away , the charger for my laptop always malfunction. This is my third charger in 5 years for my laptop. I guess they have to make money some place since the computer last a lifetime. If you've been reluctant to buying Apple products just save money for charges because you will relapse them a lot . This review is more about this store and the customer service. I was reluctant to going by this place, but wasn't in the mood to go buy a mall. Sometimes I just want to walk right into a store and not pass a millions shops inside a mall to get to the one store....you get it? Anywho I hope you're still with me while I went off on a rabbit trail. I called to see if they had any charges for my computer since my computer is considered old in the Apple world. The phone rang, rang and rang. No one answered. I decided to make the drive. Once I arrived A young smiley guy walks toward me and ask if I need help. First I looked around the store. I said: There isn't anyone here. He said: Nope I said: Do you have a phone He said: A phone I said: Yes and phone, because I called several times and no one answered. He said: It was someone here a few minutes ago and they are more important than someone calling. Bought a "certified" used iPad here 2 days ago. Got it home and it requires a passcode to unlock. 1st hint this may not be certified. I called them and they apologized and wanted to help me over phone. They told me how to reset to avoid passcode but then it comes up on my iTunes as "Fona's iPad". 2nd hint this is certified pre owned- I am not Fona. After running what appears to be a set up on iTunes it finally tells me "The iPad C could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for requested build" 3rd hint that this isn't certified pre owned. I have been on phone with apple for 30 minutes and still do not have issue resolved. If they make this right I will update this rating. If not Stay Away from this location. read more

I took my sons Apple laptop to get fixed and not only did they not want to give him back his computer charger, they also over charged me $27 and they said they couldn't give me a refund because a new computer software they had just installed and they said a check will be sent to my house in 10 business days. ITS BEEN 3 months and when I call they put me on hold and when I go to speak to them they act like they have no idea what i'm talking about. With a malfunctioning 6s I stopped in to get it looked at yesterday. The young lady told me they could do a diagnostic for $19.95 or so. I explain d that I sent paying for a job home I have had fun r two months and she stepped away to grab some help with nothing else said. A young man came to help, nothing said about the cost any further. He ran a test, told me he can't fix it and then ha fed me $19.95. Clearly they don't communicate with each other and certainly not with the customer. I paid, gave them a piece of my mind and will now wait to see what they do to make someone happy after the fact. I stopped in here because my work-issued MacBook Pro's battery decided to take a nose dive and I needed help in a bad way. A coworker recommended this location since it was closer than the nearest Apple Store, and they could still help me out. Walked in during lunchtime and someone helped me out in a relatively short amount of time. He ascertained the problem and told me I could expect my computer back in 4-6 business days, since they would have to order a new battery. Not a huge problem for me, since I could use my personal Mac for work until it was ready, but I could see how others without that good fortune would be highly inconvenienced by the situation. I took my computer in on a Tuesday and received a phone call on Thursday indicating that my machine would be ready the next day. I wasn't able to pick it up until Sunday, but is appreciated the communication on PeachMac's part as well as getting the work done in a timely manner. When I went to pick up my computer, it was a seamless process. I will definitely come back here again with any Apple-related needs. *note: they do not sell iPhones here. read more

I went in because my friend spilt a sticky drink on the right side of my macbook pro (mid 2012) so the delete key, enter, and all those keys were really sticky. The keyboard's back light is also out on that side. I was hoping they could clean it or repair the backlight. After waiting 20 mins while they stood around chatting, I was welcomed up to the service desk. The gentleman helping me agreed that the keys were sticky and laughed and said they couldn't help. He advised me to send it to Apple and pay the absorbent fees to have it all fixed for $1350. For that price, I'd rather just buy another laptop! I then asked if they knew any tips or tricks to getting the keys off to clean the mechanisms under them to remove the sticky. By now there were three behind the counter and with a chuckle the all seemed to say in unison that you cannot clean under the keyboard yourself and that the keys will never pop back on. Well, my backspace key would backspace 4 or 5 times per press it was so sticky so I took the risk. I did a quick search on YouTube to see what it had to say and I quickly found a video of someone doing the same repair. Less than 30 minutes later I had the 13 sticky keys of mine all fixed and working better than ever! I expected to find intelligent, or at least knowledgable people there to help me out, but no; they were all more interested in their own conversations and very unwilling to help. Apple Support made an appt for me at this authorized provider. Upon entering no one greeted, spoke, or acknowledged me as I came in during my appt time. I took a seat at the table and waited for someone to be available. This location was the only location that had appointments (I see why now ) One is the two gentlemen come over to ask what I needed and I let him know that I had a scheduled appointment for my computer. I explained my issues to him and the only option he offered me was mailing my computer in for 7-10 business days which was the same thing I was told on the phone. Since that wasn't an option they sent me to this location. The biggest waste of time I ever experienced. He didn't look at my computer, touch my computer, or even pick it up to try and trouble shoot what my issue was. I called Apple immediately after and filed a formal complaint while they tried to do troubleshoot over the phone since I wasn't offered that luxury in this store. I would no recommend if you're look for good customer service or for even trying to troubleshoot your issue. You're better off continuously calling Apple. Don't waste your time. read more

If I could give this store negative stars, I believe I would. I went in and spent approx and hour and a half with a sales associate comparing iMacs and laptops. My intent was to upgrade my office Mac and my laptop Mac. After much time spent comparing models and pricing and features, I settled on purchasing the MacBook Pro 13 first and then coming back in to purchase the iMac in the next few days, after I set up the MacBook Pro. I also needed to buy a version of Microsoft office for the new machines. I spent several mins speaking to the young lady about how I use the computers for my business, how I have multiple email addresses feeding into Outlook etc. In the end, she showed me three versions of MS and said that if I wasn't going to need the license for up to five machines "why pay for it", and she rang up two individual licenses for me at $149.99 each. One for the new laptop, and one for the future purchase of the iMac. Turns out after I went home and opened a package to install MS in my new laptop, she had sold me the Home & Student version. Doesn't even have Outlook included, and you can't upgrade it. Upon calling the store, and after a somewhat confrontational discussion with the manager, it is apparently not worth it to the manager to have a happy customer who would come back in and shop there. He was unwavering on accepting responsibility for the error of his employee in selling me the wrong product and would not give me a refund nor did he suggest a store credit. He would allow me to return the unused unopened one. (Thankfully.) Seems to me that if I managed this store, I would look at the lifetime value of a customer who just spent $2655.43 with me, and who planned to make another large purchase very soon, and I would apologize for selling the wrong product and do what I needed to do to compensate the customer the $149.99 they had spent in my store. Now I will also say that he did offer to take $150 off a used iMac - thus requiring me to spend an additional $1300 in his store to make myself feel happy that I was able to recover my $150 for a product his clerk sold that would not work for my needs. Somehow, I didn't feel the love in being told if I spend $1300 more, I'd get my $150 credit back because the used iMac was priced at $1445. I would be very careful making any purchase in this store. The burden is on you to walk in there and check to make sure what they are selling you is what you need. Here's the really laughable part- I also bought a laptop shell for my new laptop- one that the sales girl said would fit the laptop- and of course, it does not!! So I get to return that now too! Overall - I had a terrible experience with the manager, and the knowledge of the associates could be much improved upon, and the lack of acceptance of responsibility is the saddest part of all. Give me a good experience, stand behind your product, service, employees, and I will sing your praises. Treat me with disrespect and hide behind your corporate stock answers about no return policies when all you need to do is step up and make an independent call that would keep a customer happy and resolve the problem- (like offer a gift card for God's sake)- and I give the same lack of respect and bad reviews back to you. read more

I went in this evening to buy a power supply and I could not do it without supplying either my home address or my email account. I wanted to give them neither of these items which is personal information. Their response was that their computer system requires one of those two data points. I refused to provide either of them since I am overwhelmed by businesses sending me messages once I do provide that information. Since when do I have to provide that information just to buy something off of the shelf. I'm now heading to the Apple Store in Cumberland. This is the worst customer service ever and an abuse of privacy. He'll get a one star and zero if I could. Just purchased a power supply at the Cumberland Mac store. Be very careful dealing with this company. Don't buy gift cards and I would probably advise against buying extended service plans or such that are not actual apple plans. And if they offer "extended" life on apple plans just be prepared to lose them if they transfer ownership again like they did from Peachmac to Simply Mac. Managers provided false information around gift cards, fees and rules governing them, to the point where she contradicted Georgia laws governing gift card sales. SLC Corporate office washed their hands of their issue and stopped replying to emails. read more

I visited the West Cobb location, an authorized Apple repair center, for a iPhone 7 battery replacement, based on the Apple program to replace failed batteries. $19.95 for assessment/eligibility and $29.95 for the battery replacement and installation (the Apple program). Regrettably, after they replaced the battery, and I paid the $50, the home button (Taptic) didn't work and could not be repaired/reset. They ordered another phone, which didn't arrive as stated and I visited the store in person to rectify (30 minutes, one-way). The replacement phone was re-ordered and arrived in 5 calendar days. Now 14 calendar days since initial visit. I arrived and then transferred the data to the new phone. I respectfully requested that Simply Mac replace the tempered glass protector on my old phone, and they offered to do so at an incremental cost to me of $22.95, half off the retail price of $45,99. These screen protectors are widely available on the internet for $5.00 each (or below) and I declined. The point here is not the money. The point is, I did everything I was asked to, paid for the replacement battery and the assessment/repair, and due to their mistakes or issues with software, my phone with the replaced battery was damaged and no longer functional. Yes, they replaced my phone, as they should have, so that it was functional. After all, simply mac is an authorized repair center. They're obligated to do that. But their position to not replace the screen protector is unacceptable. I rarely if every write reviews. I began with praising their customer service to my colleagues, since they proposed replacing the phone. But ended up writing this disappointing review because they wouldn't make me whole on my purchase. Ove a $5.00 screen protector. It's unfortunate they get one star, and I would have given 0 stars. when it could have been 5. But this location caused me multiple trips, did not return my calls, and caused me to pay more than I should have. 1 star and that's a damn shame. I should have gone to the Apple Store, but that's a 60 minute trip one-way. read more

Once you get them to service you, they are good. But they are rather understaffed - of course that might be the attraction if you do not to want to deal with the crowd at an Apple store. I made a reservation because they recommended it the day before. But, when I got there, the tech guy was on his lunch break. This is the second time it happened to me there. I don't know why I went there. My iPad had a damaged screen, so it needed to be replaced. They told me that I could go through them but it would take 3 to 5 days. Great service and very friendly staff. Went in to pick up an Apple pencil. They let me try it out the 9.7 iPad Pro in various apps. The iPad was like mine. They answered my questions and gave me input on how to best use, charge and care for the device. They also told me about the number one problem they have regarding the loss individuals have of the small adapter which is used to charge the pencil. Tops in my book! read more

After waiting 2 hours, the store was closing so they actually refused to see us and told us to return the next day.....after we had already waited 2 HOURS!!!! I would give them no stars if I could. I made an appoint with Simply Mac on a Sunday. I took my phone in with water damage, I was up front about this I knew how much it would cost, etc. We had everything ready to go, the lady even complimented us on being well prepared. I was told "5-7 days usually shorter". I'm now on business day 11 (not including the Sunday I brought it in) PHONELESS, and when I call to check on the status repair they tell me they can't check the status... The best advice I could give anyone who considers taking their electronics here is DO NOT. Make the extra drive to Apple, people who actually know what they are doing and can actually help you. At this point I want my broken phone back and my money, but I'm sure as you could assume the have offered NOTHING to make this better. 5-7 days would have been fine, I wasn't even upset on day 9. But this has just gone to far and I'm over this place. Now I know why they were the only place with open appointments. I will never ever spend my money with them again. Edit: After writing this review I contacted Apple to check the repair status and they just received my phone a day ago. Way to go Simply Mac. These service guys rock! Bought a new iPhone at my local ATT store. After two visits back to the store and hours on the phone, the phone never worked. ATT store said they couldn't exchange the faulty phone even though I'd only had it one day and sent me to Simply Mac. Service guys at this location jumped on it and fixed my phone immediately. They even called the ATT store to complain in my defense that I shouldn't have to drive almost an hour away to fix a faulty phone. From now on I'll purchase phones at this store and not an "authorized ATT dealer" The dealers only care about selling you a phone and if it doesn't work properly all they say is "it's an Apple issue we can't help you oh well." The folks at simply Mac can sell you the phone AND help with any issues you may have. Go see these guys. I only wish I had their names to give them the credit they deserve for helping me. read more

Unfortunate business practices. DOES NOT HONOR APPLE $29 battery replacements! Shame on Simply Mac and some fault to Apple as well for being misleading. I have been to this store before and was not pleased with the service and made a mental note to not go back. Well, fast forward a couple of years and I needed to have the battery replaced in my I Phone 6S. Apple is offering $29 battery replacements and when you go to the Apple site to schedule an appointment, it lists the locations near you where it can be done. It includes Simply Mac, Best Buy and of course any nearby Apple Stores. I chose Simply Mac ONLY because it was so much more convenient than the nearest Apple Store. Showed up for my appointment and the first thing the service person says to me is we charge $49, not $29. I was taken aback and really surprised. He said the $29 deal is ONLY good at Apple stores and that they and all other third party stores charge more. This really feels like a bait and switch scam. There was another customer in the store whiles I was there complaining about the same thing. It must happen multiple times per day. I walked out. I refuse to reward bad business practices. I will never go to this store again. Ever! Part of the blame for this unhappy customer experience falls on Apple. On their webpage for scheduling battery replacement appointments, it uses large, bold and clear language touting how wonderful they are for making this offer for reduced cost replacements and it provides a link that takes you to the scheduling page where you choose a location. Well, if you scroll down the page, after the link to schedule an appointment, there is a statement in a font size 1/3 the size of the other text on the page and in almost greyed out text, that says the $29 price is only good at Apple stores. If you click on the scheduling link without scrolling all the way down the page, as I am sure most people do, you never see this statement. They are doing a disservice to themselves and to their authorized dealers by setting them up for a bad customer experience. read more

I brought my 6 plus Apple phone in and these guys trouble shot in minutes and advised that I send to apple for repair or replacement since under warranty. They were also very helpful in making sure my backup went well. I was given a loaner and Apple had my New phone back in a few days. I received the same prompt and helpful service when I picked up the phone. I didn't realize this store could honor the warranty on my phone from ATT. Pretty cool! Note: this location is a lot more convenient for me than the nearest Apple Store so I went there. If you go there, you may have to live without your device for a few days but its generally quicker than they say. read more

If you are going to them for apple repairs, just drive a bit farther to the actual Apple store. Or visit ifixit.com and learn how to do it yourself. I brought them a 2019 MacBook Pro that I knew needed a battery. They take it in the back for 5 minutes and come back to advise me that I needed a battery. We also discussed a crack in the bezel at bottom corner of screen. Guy suggests I leave it and just cover with electrical tape. So I agree for them to ship it off for the battery, quote of $320. I pay $80 upfront and leave. They call me a week later because the Apple service center won't replace battery unless I agree to pay another $600 to replace screen. So, I said no. Got the laptop back, ordered the battery online and fixed it with no issues. But of course they kept their $80 "diagnostic fee". They were aware of the bezel issue before I agreed to anything, yet they don't know what the service center will or won't do...I diagnose them as a bunch of clowns. read more

This store has helped me so much. All the young people are smiling and responsive. A customer for years, since it was Peach Mac. November 2019 had to finally purchase new computer. TYLER BURTON helped me greatly. First, found an item on sale, then transferred my data, disposed of 10 year old machine, plus some other worn out electronics. Carried new machine to my car as needed. Service is nonexistent. I took my daughter's Macbook in because the trackpad and keyboard kept freezing. They charged $70, keep it for 2 weeks and said nothing was wrong with it. Brought it home and it was frozen within an hour. Obviously they know nothing about repairing Macs. Steer clear! read more

This is a pitiful excuse of a business.. West Cobb location.. I took my sons Apple computer to be repaired.. the key board was not communicating w the computer.. I had Apple Care on the computer so it wasn't going to cost me and it was quoted at taking 7-10 days. This was on August 2,3018 Beginning August 20th or so we hadn't heard back from the messages I left, so an hour drive from my home.. I drove to find out what the problem was. The store manager was RUDE, condescending, and offended that I was asking questions about my repair and defensive when asked how to best contact them considering I never was called back after leaving a couple messages. After waiting in the store for another hour.. he "found" the computer in Houston at Apple but it hadn't been repaired yet. So he was going to expedite the repair n would contact me Monday.. this was on a Friday. So I left.. never called back Monday. So I began calling again. FINALLY.. the nicest guy .. Andrew .. called. He explained he had been told the computer was located in the Fed Ex warehouse n Memphis but knew nothing else but he was going to start investigating to get answers. The next day Andrew calls to explain the computer was now LOST!! This was the Tuesday after Labor Day. So now he's contacting his District Mgr to figure what's the next step to compensating me for a LOST computer. His district mgr was supposed to contact me.. Cathy Lilley.. that NEVER happened.. at this point my sons college classes has begun w no computer to do his work or keep up w class. So we purchased him a new Apple Computer being told we would b repaid. It's now a week away from the first of October.. no computer.. no compensation.. no communication with any resolution. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.. they are not competent of taking care any computer or customer. PATHETIC!!
