Green Goddess Turkey Sandwich
Michael H.

I've stopped by this small unassuming bakery a couple of times now and have been blown away by how good it is each time. The menu is small but it's evident that they put a lot of care and attention into everything that they do. The people are extremely friendly and helpful if you have any questions about their offerings. Their green goddess turkey sandwich on fresh grilled sourdough was divine and left me craving more. Their chicken sausage, tomato, spinach and goat cheese quiche was also very good. I'll be returning very soon.

Apple pinwheel. Delicious!

Absolutely love this little, local gem! Their pastries are SO. GOOD. The best time to visit is first thing on a Saturday morning. You'll have first pick of their pinwheels...because once they are gone, they're gone. I also love going here for a light lunch through the week. They have weekly specials that include wraps or paninis, a side, and a drink. Normally for under $10.

We would like to extend a large thank you to Simply Pure Sweets for hosting the Coffee Lover's Club a couple of weekends ago. It was SIMPLY fabulous. Our members were overwhelmingly satisfied with the overall visit. It being a hot and sunny afternoon, the entirety of us ordered iced drinks; half coffee and half tea. The range of choices for both coffee and tea on the menu were satisfactory (reference images) and extra flavors and milk substitutions were available. Our members voted that the coffee was mostly satisfying, but not the most complex or interesting we have tasted. However, coffee is not the only good part of Simply Pure Sweets. A large selection of baked goods are on display in the front. They are so good that they are mostly gone when we arrived! The croissants, macarons and quiches available were absolutely fantastic. The other food items (lunch menu) were noted to be acceptable, but not as tasty as the baked goods. The entire cafe was clean and inviting. The ONLY notable environment issue was that the A/C was very cold. So cold, in fact, that when we asked our members to describe the meeting in one word half of them said "cold". Thank you for being such fabulous hosts and welcoming us. We are also very thankful for the handfuls of macrons that were graciously given to us at the conclusion of our session. We hope to see you again next semester!

Chocolate Croissant

I spent my morning hunting for something to fuel my sweet craving. The people working there were so nice and immediately served me as soon as I entered the door. Unfortunately, they did not serve single cupcakes, but they do have a variety of other pastries including cookies, macarons, scones, muffins, croissants, and biscuits. They also sell coffee, sandwiches, and soups. The inside has a very homey vibe. I ended up trying a chocolate croissant, which was amazing!!! It was HUGE and had the most perfect layers of buttery dough without too much chocolate filling.

Best coffee I've found in Murfreesboro so far. I'm not local but am in town frequently and have been searching for great coffee in town. There's some nice spots but the flavor and quality here have been unmatched so far. We were going to skip pastries but once you walk in and see the gorgeous displayed goods you can't pass them up. Tried a basic caramel latte, honey cappuccino, brownie, and buttered croissant. All were great! Fast and friendly service to boot.

Blueberry Muffins

Although not the first time I have enjoyed muffins from Simply Pure Sweets, it's my first time in the store. Normally pick up some blueberry muffins up during the Farmer's Market but they didn't have them available, so the gentleman directed me to their store on the square. I need to come in and dine here too...the breakfast sandwiches looked awesome. I do know this...if you enjoy blueberry muffins loaded with blueberries...these are really good!

4.5 so super cute! This shop is such a cute shop! I loved the decor! Located very close to the square, and offers different coffees, snacks, or lunch. I came here for the macarons and I was not disappointed. I tried the salted caramel, chocolate birthday cake, and chocolate ganache flavors today. I wasn't disappointed. It was soft, and wasn't hard at all! I've had some at different places before where it was rock hard. This place did not disappoint me!

Every time we come to Simply Pure Sweets- it's delicious, clean, welcoming and spot on! Love the new space, the smells of baking bread and cookies wafting through and the freshness of their food. The owners have a great reputation for showing up for their community and it translates to even the smallest touches of their business front. Don't miss out on the macaroons, biscuits or the orzo pasta salad!

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

When…read morewe arrived, the staff had embossed our menus with a "Happy Birthday" message, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.

The menu is the correct length, in my opinion. One page. All I need. They had a couple of specials, too. They seemed to have a really great selection of seafood. I had the duck entree, which was really one of the most delicious pieces of duck I've ever had. The spinach and potatoes underneath were delicious, too. Service was great, they took great care of us and helped celebrate a birthday, too! They were very well-staffed here and out waitress was very kind. There's certainly a couple things they could do to warm up the atmosphere of the interior here, but all-in-all it's a good vibe. Would definitely come again.
