There's plenty of parking, I've made an appointment half the time, but half the time I've walked in. I've been helped and taking care of within 10 minutes or less. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They usually always have some sort of music playing in the background and there's a couple of TVs as well. I go for pedicures, and I highly recommend the number two. The seats are very comfortable and spacious. I've been here many of times and I'll keep coming back. The store is very clean, and comfortable to visit.

I usually splurge for a mani/pedi once or twice a year. Went in a couple weeks ago for my annual birthday pampering. Maggie and Mary did an amazing job and gave my nails a wonderful nod to the Disney 100 celebration look. Today I went back to remove my dip nails and get a gel manicure. Maggie was able to take care of my manicure and took her time to hand place my glitter to make sure it didn't look clumpy. Take about attention to detail! Thank you ladies!

Simply shear and spa is the best! So friendly , clean and professional. All the staff really take care of you and have attention to detail. Affordable pricing. Very relaxing. I hadn't been here for quite awhile, due to I was going closer to my work before. Then the pandemic, etc. Yet I am so happy to be back. Today Tom did my mani and I love the color , shape and overall a great job. My pedi went great as well. I'm ready for the 4th of July. If you need a good salon you can trust. This is the place. They also do hair , waxing, eyelash extensions and more, I think. Keep up the great work!!

Great People! Great haircut! I'm really pleased with the outcome of our visit to simply shear. Although I was nervous when I showed up because our appointment was at 6:30pm and I had a 2 year old waiting to get her hair cut, they did not start her hair until 6:50pm. I would recommend communicate before hand about your child's temperament to make sure and needs are met. The hairstylist wasn't expecting my daughter at two to sit by herself, but she was able to. This is why I said communicate beforehand with the hairstylist to let them know whether your child can sit on their own or not thank you very much simply Shear and spa. We are very pleased with your service.

I was at the shop on Sunday January 2nd and got Mary as my hair dresser..She did an awesome job..Loved the cut and blow dry . So pretty and so easy to manage at home too. I hope to have her do my hair the next time I need a cut. She was really awesome and so nice ! read more

So my experience here was not great! First, I went in for a fill and gentleman there said he was going to do my nails sat down with me and saw what I wanted and said oh yes I can do that let's start and then he got up to get his the color. This girl walks in that does NOT have an appointment with him because I heard her tell the receptionist she doesn't have an appointment and the guy that was going to do my nails said hello to her and said he would take her! He proceeded to talk in their language so receptionist came and told me the lady would do my nails and I waited for about 5 minutes for the lady which was fine cause I don't know anyone's work there yet because it was my first time there. I just felt it was unprofessional to dump me when I came in first and make me wait instead of the other girl. The lady that did my nails wasn't very knowledgeable and suggested I get a new set which was fine with me. However, that took almost 3 freakin hours! The guy finished 3 clients and she was still doing mine. She kept doing the sanding and filing and then go back and do the same hand again! She cut my finger, the shape is all wrong, they don't match each other and I was very disappointed. Needless to say this was my first and last time visiting this salon, and will getting my nails done again tomorrow as they are super ugly! read more

me and my friend got full sets and the whole time the lady that was doing my nails was so rude and cut my cuticle really bad and i told her to go a little lighter and she didn't until she saw the blood she also laid the acrylic very far from my cuticle, so the nails looked grown out in 5 days. Also four of my friends nails popped off 2 days after the appointment and so did mine, they are very lazy and seem to not want to do their work at all. I personally will never be going there again read more

This place was ok. They had me wait after calling in. After I initially asked for colored powder they guy said he could not do it and did Gel instead which is not what I wanted. I had to come back the next day since my thumb and one finger smeared since it did not dry properly. Won't go back read more

Simple Shear & Spa was one of the best experiences I had towards going to a salon. I went to for a haircut. Ms. Christine, did an amazing job with my hair cut. My haircut might be simple, but yet it was hard because you can notice if the length is wrong. She dedicated her time on me and no one else. As for getting nails done. I see that all the ladies are professional and have wonderful auras that brought smiles to their customers. I look over the nail technicians on how they were doing customers nails and the nails come out really fly. If you need a haircut or get you nails done, I recommend giving Simply Shear & Spa an opportunity Ladies and Gents. read more

Love love love!!! I'm super picky about my nail tech and when I lose one it usually takes me forever to find a new one.. This time it only took me 1 visit to Simply Shear 4 weeks ago for a full set and gel pedi.. This is my second time having Nikki do my nails and I am hooked! She is so meticulous and her nail art is just beautiful... She did an amazing job converting my 4 week old French stiletto set to this gorgeous V French tip set!!! Simply Shear is my new go to spot... The entire team is so nice and attentive.. their customer service experience is awesome!! read more

Love this place! Derek is the best !! I drive about 15 minutes give or take and well worth it! I get coffin nails, unicorn, ombre and gel. Derek impresses me every time! Long overdue. I've been coming here for years now, I have not had a single bad experience. This last week specifically, we celebrated Mother's Day here. Mena did my acrylic nails ombré and did an amazing job! I also splurged and got the number 3 pedicure, I highly recommend. It FELT AMAZING while she was doing it, and after my feet and legs felt absolutely amazing. I did not think I needed the callus remover, but so much skin came off(TMI). Days later and I'm still so smooth! My hubby got the number 1 pedicure and as always, he loved it (and I appreciate how clean his man feet look and feel!) In addition this time we had our two daughters get their nails painted. They are 2&4, and the staff was AMAZING with them. I was surprised how well the girls did, but with the staff being fun and caring, it was easy for them! HUGE thanks to the staff and Christine for giving us a memorable mother day treat!! This spot does amazing mani and pedis. I have had my nails painted, gel, and dipped. This is the first place I found nail polish (instead of gel I used to regularly get) actually last on my toes! They are polite, Clean, and time efficient. I always, and will continue to recommend simply shear to anyone looking for a good manicure or pedicure. read more

This salon used to be my go to and favorites place for a mani/pedi. I think ownership changed a few months back and the salon has changed, unfortunately. I was overpromised that the wait would be only a few minutes (even though I had an appointment). Forty-five minutes later, still nothing. I ended up just not getting my nails done at all. Unfortunately, this was not the first time this happened either. A salon that I used to recommend to everyone, is now the same salon that I advise people to stay away from. read more

Second time here and they've done it again! So I came in as a walk in, expecting to wait a little which was fine with me. Nope. I waited five mins max to get my service started. I came back here remembering my last good experience. I recently had my nails done at another nail place I usually went to in santee but last time was the last straw because they butchered my poor nails. I got so lucky and Gati (I'm so sorry I'm butchering her name) did my nails. She nailed (haha no pun intended ) the coffin shape, the paint job was beautiful, and the cute little glitter design was simple and subtle just as I desired. My nails took a bit longer than I'm normally used to but SO worth it because she spent quality time on the shape, I'd rather take longer and get *exactly* what I want. I'll be a loyal returning client from here on out! I'm interested in trying some of their lash services as well :) read more

Everyone deserves a second chance-which is why I am giving this salon another chance. Seriously, if it was not for Christine or Maggie-I would never come back after my last experience. I received a phone call from Christine and Maggie on Friday and we had a good talk. That tells me that they care about their clients. I love Christine and Maggie and they are the only reason why I came back. They are in my opinion the best. Came in today and got a spa pedicure. This is the best salon ever! My daughter-in-law loves it and she is a beautician! All her friends and daughters go there. I go there weekly for a blow dry and styling with Maggie for my terribly curly hair. Even my son goes there for a pedicure. I have been to other salons in the area and do not recommend them. I got my nails done 12/26. They already look very grown out because the nail tech left too much of a gap between the acrylic and didn't drill it enough at the back. I had to try to smooth out some of the edges myself. When I went back to see if they would fix the gel color since they guarantee it within a week they said it would be another $20 after I paid $45 last week. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

Mom and I wanted to get a pedicure, but mom has to be careful with her feet. We decided to try here because it is close to where we live. We were so impressed with everyone & everything. I had Lani & mom had Christine. I got a gel mani & a regular pedi with a pretty flower. I love mine. Mom just got a pedi & is extremely happy with hers. Christine was so gentle & even asked mom if she was to rough. If you want any kind of design just ask for Christine, she is SO talented I was amazed at all she could do. The shop is beautiful & so clean as well. Mom & I are so glad we went in and met these lovely ladies. They are so sweet & conversational. We also appreciate they don't try to up sell you & they break down what you are being charged for. Mom & I will be regulars!! read more

1:30 haircut appointment. Got there a bit early. After bantering back and forth for almost ten minutes I'm told the stylist is running late. Can I wait an extra thirty minutes. The answer was no. My time is valuable too. And when I booked the appointment I asked if it could be later and was told no. Disappointed. Guess I'll drive forty miles back to my previous stylist. read more

Perfect! Vivienne and Christina are FIRE! The best! You can ask for either by name. They will remember you and take very good care of you - and let me tell you I am picky! First time coming here, was recommended by a friend, I had already had a full set done at a previous place, I came here to reshape to a nice coffin shape and to get the unicorn chrome color, Derrick is the best! I am super picky and have tried so many places and he really knows his stuff, he is an expert at shaping and knows how to put colors together really good! I will be coming back for sure. I love Derick's Work! This time we did a baby pink color with unicorn chrome #4 on top! He's amazing, if you're looking for meticulous work go see Derick, you won't regret it. read more

My 1st time here and I probably won't be back. I got a hair cut. Asked for a shampoo & cut. Didn't get the shampoo. I wanted my hair cut to my shoulders and it was cut about 5 inches shorter than what I asked!! My hair curls so it's even shorter after it dries!! I couldn't ask for it to be glued back on so now I have to wait for it to grow out!! I hate it!! It's WAY too short!! The plus side is the ladies were nice and the cut was only $25.00. read more

It's been way too too long since I came here but every time it's a treat! I'm never much of a fan to do my nails. But a girl got her moments and this is mine! Such beautiful Gel polish by Christine. Diligent, professional & definitely sweet. I usually leave it to my hairstylist or nail artist to do their magic and let's just say, it was a good idea. What inspired me to start this business was the joy I felt when helping friends and family feel transformed after a new hairstyle, a fresh set of nails, or gorgeous lashes. My Husband bought me two different gift certificates for this nail place; one for my Birthday and another for Mother's Day. I took my Mother to this Nail place on two different occasions and they were rude to My Mother and I and we believe they were negatively referring to us in their language. I have gone on about 3 different occasions to obtain a refund for my gift cards but they would not oblige us. We originally went to this place due to its High ratings but our experience on the last two times we patronized this establishment was horrible. I tried several nail salons in lakeside before finding Simply Shear and Spa and I have been going to this salon for about 2 years. When you walk in the door someone always greets you right away (even when they are swamped). They always treat you like a queen and remember your name as soon as you walk in. Christine is fantastic with gel mani pedi and always so sweet! Vivian is my favorite for acrylic, she does my nails exactly how I ask and they look so nice when she is finished and last FOREVER. I went there I went to get my nails done. I got gel nails and toes. The gel did not last long and my nails were shaped uneven. Christine did my nails and she was nice enough but nice doesn't make my nails look good. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.
