I will never be able to get a Brazilian sugaring or lash lift and tint anywhere else. This place is wonderful! Monica is absolutely amazing! Her gentle care, attention to detail, and just about everything goes above and beyond what I would expect from any esthetician. I got my eyelashes permed and tinted at different salon a few times, but I hadn't been back because it stung my eyes so bad during the process, especially during the tinting. With Monica there was absolutely NO PAIN at all. It wasn't even uncomfortable. And the results were much better than I've ever had! I have never gotten waxed before so I almost talked myself out of getting one. However, I decided to get it over with, thinking it would be a miserable experience but it was the complete opposite! The studio isn't hard to find and parking was easy (parked right in front!). It's a very open and inviting space with the individual rooms being simple, calming, and clean. I had booked my appointment with Marie and I am so glad I did! She was an absolute delight and made me feel extremely at ease by keeping the conversation between us going to make me focus less on what was going on. I told her about my lack of experience with waxing and she was super understanding and explained the procedure very well. Her easy-going and sunny demeanor made the experience quite pleasant, albeit some parts were somewhat painful but that's to be expected as a first timer! She also constantly asked how I was doing, making sure I was as comfortable as I could be. As for the wax itself, Marie was very thorough and I am super happy with how it turned out. So much that I already booked my maintenance appointment! In all, I truly appreciate Marie's professionalism and super sweet personality in making a not so fun and uncomfortable experience into something that I can tolerate and continue doing! I purchased a three pack for sugaring on Groupon. It is a bit of a trek for me to come out to U District but I figured I would try it out. The facility is new and super clean and modern. Very white walls! The bad thing is that they're located right next to a drum studio, so you hear a lot of drumming (albeit not super loud, but still noise) all the time. There are a few ladies that work there and they're all super nice! They did a good job removing all the hair, but for me, the reason why I won't be coming back is cause of their hours. They are only open Mon - Sat, and for someone that lives on the Eastside, it's hard to fight traffic going there and back on a weekday, and Saturday's are usually pretty busy for me. read more

Come here! If you're debating whether or not you should come get sugared. Stop & book an appointment now! Marie is excellent. She's been doing this for about a decade now and you can't be more of an expert than that. She talks to you throughout the process and makes you feel comfortable. Half the time, you're probably not even thinking about what's going on down there since you're focused on the conversation. It lessened the pain for me and it wasn't quite as painful as I thought it was going to be. There is no stinging sensation after, unlike wax. The place is extremely clean and I really really enjoyed my experience here. As I will continue to be a loyal customer, I highly suggest you give this place a try because it truly is a dope establishment with dope staff. Tip: I suggest you book an appointment on a day you're not doing lots of physical activity. Lindsey is an amazing sugarist and a lovely person. I had gone here for a Brazilian and I felt almost no pain and the best part is you don't feel rushed. I came in fort first sugaring experience and was shocked and amazed by how wonderful it was!! I've been getting waxed 10+ years and usually have a very different experience... I had thought sugaring was just a new trend, no different from waxing. I was so wrong!! While Shelby was working I asked what some of the differences are: the sugar lacks chemicals so is better for your skin and the environment, and produces less waste as there are no paper strips... It also uses less product overall. These things are cool, but not my main priorities! The difference that converted me for life: SO MUCH LESS PAINFUL THAN WAXING!!! Like so so much!! I usually get red and swollen and have been literally burned by wax before and am usually not up to getting frisky w my Brazilian for at least 24 hours after... the sugaring was so painless I left all amped up because my adrenaline had nowhere to go. The sugar is barely warm, so no heat trauma!! I was totally smooth, because she can go over the same spot multiple times if there are resistant hairs because the trauma to your skin is almost nonexistent. I've never had a cleaner wax, in fact most waxes leave me pissed off that the hairs in the most sensitive places are still there and I have to go home and immediately pluck them myself... not this time!!! I felt normal, not swollen, not sensitive, not sore, not red at all an hour later!!!! It was insane!!! If you've been wondering about it, do it!! I have been telling all my friends!! I feel it is my duty to keep other women from experiencing the pain of waxing I went thru for so long!! Sugaring is the future!! I'm honestly quite mad I didn't take it more seriously sooner, I would have spared myself a lot of trouble!! read more
