I've had several negative in person experiences at Simply Thai, but the most recent visit has convinced me never to return. My initial issues with this restaurant began a few months ago with an incorrect dish being served. When we requested the correct dish, the server took back the incorrect dish, altered it, and tried to serve it to us as the correct one. It was clear from the visible ingredients that the dish had not been replaced, but merely modified. When we questioned the server, she lied and insisted it was an entirely new dish. We decided to leave, paying only for what we had consumed. The issue was eventually resolved after speaking with the owner/manager, but the experience left us with little confidence in the establishment and on occasion have ordered only fried rice dish's to go only. Despite our reservations, we decided to give Simply Thai another try in person today, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, this visit only reinforced our decision never to return. We ordered a few appetizers, tofu fried rice, and sushi. My husband, a vegetarian, specifically requested a vegetarian version of the lettuce wrap appetizer. However, the server, brought us a meat version instead. My husband, hesitant but trusting the order, took a small bite before realizing the error. The server offered no apology and instead defended herself by saying she wrote down the order correctly but failed to modify it in the kitchen to be vegetarian. This mistake could have caused a serious health issue, yet the server took no responsibility. The problems continued when our sushi arrived. The ginger slices were visibly discolored and tasted off, clearly not fresh. When we brought this to the server's attention, she became defensive and dismissive. We asked if there were any alternative options for fresh ginger, but she insisted that all the ginger in the restaurant would taste the same, essentially refusing to address the issue. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and asked for the check, requesting a manager to discuss the problems we encountered. The server informed us that the manager was not present and that we could only speak with him when he was available. Throughout this interaction, she was combative and curt, never once apologizing for the mistakes or showing any empathy for our dissatisfaction. The most troubling part of this experience was her attitude as we paid the bill. She became argumentative, accusing me of having an attitude first. Rather than attempting to manage the situation professionally, she escalated it by waving her arms aggressively and shouting that we should call the manager if we had a problem and her name is ''Phong'. Her behavior was unprofessional and left us with no doubt that Simply Thai does not value its customers. In summary, Simply Thai has failed on multiple occasions to provide a satisfactory dining experience. The combination of poor food quality, careless mistakes, and the unprofessional behavior of the staff, particularly Phong, has ensured that we will not be returning. It's disappointing that a place with potential can be so thoroughly undermined by poor service and a lack of accountability. read more

My partner and I recently dined at Simply Thai, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! I ordered the Samurai Jake Roll, which was a delightful blend of fresh and flavorful ingredients.
