And they do a very good job of putting the right amount of spice depending on how you like it. But the food is on a whole different level! We ordered the Pad Thai w/Crispy Chicken and Pad Ma Maung w/chicken. We both ordered it level 3 spicy (there are 5 levels of heat). The heat was just enough to make your nose run, but it was flavorful!! The Pad Thai noodles were perfectly sticky and did not break! Turns out all their noodles are made in-house. The sauce of the Pad Ma Maung was incredible!! Seriously, couldn't get enough! But then there's dessert! The Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango was hands down AMAZING!! Warm, creamy coconut rice with the ripest mango was music to my tongue after level 3 heat! We never thought we'd enjoy it as much as we did, but it is a vibe!! This is one of those meals where you strive to eat all of it because it is that good. I love when the food is plated beautifully. At this price point, it feels like a great deal. The spring rolls were so delicious and I love them with the variety of sauces they provided. The real winner was the shrimp vermicelli. It was really good. I also tried both the wonton soup and egg drop soup, and they were delicious and comforting. Their lunch special, from 11am - 2 pm, is such a great deal. My go to order includes the Fried Spring Rolls (served with a small soup that I can't quite name, but it's delicious!) and the Pad See Ew with tofu. The noodles are fresh and perfectly stir fried in a sweet soy sauce with egg, Chinese broccoli, cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms. This restaurant is one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. My go to order is pad see ew and I will say, the flavor is there! The noodles are just a tad overcooked but otherwise I like it. I also ordered the massaman curry which tasted very flavorful. And I do think the star of the show was the tom yum fried rice. I've never had that before and it was bursting with flavor. I mixed the curry with the fried rice and just wow. They also give these chili powder packets and that was great because I got to adjust the spice level to my liking. Went to Kin Thai for my first time based off some recommendations, I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food but I decided to try it out anyways! I got their spring roll, and their drunken noodles with veggies. And also I got a Thai tea. The food was okay, I did have to add spices to it. The fried tofu was pretty bland, like almost tasteless. I get tofu doesn't necessarily have a taste to it in the first place but the batter didn't have any taste either. Some seasoning would be nice. Service was quick and efficient. Kind of angry at myself for sleeping on this place for so long. It's close to my home, in an area where I go eat pretty often, the service is friendly, even enthusiastic at times, and they just served me one of my top all time favorite Thai meals last night. Dang. I'm ready to call it.. THIS is the spot. Met up here with my family to celebrate a birthday. None of us had ever been, and we are all of the Yelpy persuasion... looking for a new place to try and review. The restaurant was a Dickey's BBQ in a past life, but you'd never know looking at it now. It's comfortable inside, nothing crazy, but a cozy place to eat. We started with some apps, which to be fair, were not the best judges of their app quality. But the fried spring rolls and crab rangoons were all very tasty. We did get some papaya salad made Thai style, and even at the base spice level, it had quite the kick! Which is expected in a dish where the chilis are so far forward. I loved it. Little hot for some of the others, but I would definitely come back for more, i scraped the plate with a spoon. Everyone around the tables loved their entrees, anything from Mussamun curry, to pad thai, to drunken noodles. My dish though, I felt, was truly special. For one, this is the first Thai place I have seen in the area offer crispy pork belly as a protein option for their dishes, and that being the case, I just had to have it. I went with an eggplant stir fry, with onion, carrot, bell pepper, and basil in "special sauce." I also went heat level 3 out of 5 to get my bearings for this place, I could have stepped up. All the veggies, nicely done. The eggplant was perfect texture, not mushy, held together but melted in your mouth and absorbed all that flavor. The sauce, a sweet heat, very well balanced. I could have done hotter, but liked it as is. The star though... was the chunks of crispy pork belly. In that sauce, with those veggies, it was a dream. Each chunk was crispy outside, but rendered well, not overy chewy or tough at all, just right. In other words. I loved all of it, and I think I can say this is now my spot, especially given it is just 10 minutes or so from me. Can't wait to try other things, but it is going to be tough for me to choose any other protein than the pork belly! read more

I've loved this place for a while and it never lets you down! Went here for a work lunch at 12:30ish, we were seated promptly and put in the orders right away. They have pretty hole in the wallish ambiance. You only go here for great food and decent ambiance. I got the panang curry with chicken (thai spicy) and brown rice. The lunch portion comes with a soup and an eggroll ehich is always nice. The food came out pretty quickly and was hot and delicious! The thai spicy was actually SPICY which i was glad about. We did find out that they will be closed on Sundays starting 1st april 2024 so keep that in mind if you are thinking of going there on a sunday. They have ample parking in the lot infront which many other shops. read more

I decided to venture to High Point for lunch on a cold day with my husband and Kim Thai did not disappoint. ordered the Tom Kha, and it was nothing short of perfection. I found this place on TikTok of all places and I'm thankful that I did. The broth had a fantastic hint of lemongrass and was hands down the best Tom Kha we've ever had. I almost regret not ordering it myself--until I tasted my Kao Soi. It was equally incredible, with just the right amount of spice, a beautifully balanced sour and savory flavor, and tender chicken that literally fell off the bone. The cilantro paired with the rich broth is what won me over with this dish. I also had a green Thai tea, which was very sweet but still delicious and paired beautifully with the spices in our meal. Our meal came with an order of egg drop soup and a spring roll, which were tasty additions. The environment was cozy and typical, and the service was perfect--timely and attentive. Kin Thai Zabb has been our go to place when were in town from Raleigh. The service is great and theres plenty of parking and reservations are available if you call ahead. Some of the highlights and must order stuff there is for sure the chicken wings if you like yours double fried. I also really liked the Dumplings and anything with crispy duck is a standout. The Pad Thai is awesome but the only thing we got that I wouldnt get again is the drunken noodles just because they were a bit overcooked. read more

I have been here at least 7 times in the past 6 months but I keep forgetting to write a review! This place is great! I started getting them as takeout at the recommendation of a colleague. That time was fantastic but it REALLY SHINES when you eat it in person. Appetizer if you are eating IN PERSON, I'd recommend getting some appetizers such as the Moo Yang. This is grilled pieces of marinated pork but the way they have a small piece of fat between each piece of meat makes it so delectable. It is made to order so it is tastiest in person. Getting it takeout is fine but you risk it drying out from my experience. The Tod Mun, and the Hoi Jo are better options for takeout as they won't dry out but I don't think they're as tasty as the Moo Yang. Salad-wise: I've gotten the: -Papaya Salad: too spicy for my poor taste buds and they definitely drowned it in too much fish sauce. Might have been just mine but didn't try it again. It is green papaya so it is not sweet. -Larb: if you wanted to get a salad-like dish, get the pork larb. Slightly (and I mean very slightly) less spicy. It's a nice balance of savory meat, crunchy cucumbers, and tart cilantro-lime dressing. Noodle Soups: -Thai Boat: very nice base. Definitely has good savoriness and a fun assortment of seafood and pork balls. Wasn't incredibly impressive, but thought it was a good mid-tier soup. -Kao Soi: I like this one! More curry than soup but definitely very filling. Nice amount of curry flavor that coats the noodles. The chicken was a tad dry but overall a very savory dish. -Super Combo Beef: This was very good for people who like beef! The broth is very good and the variety of beef parts including tendon, beef slices, and meatballs enhanced the broth to be extra savory. Stir fried noodles -Pad Kee Mao: Very classic dish that is done well. Definitely a go-to for me over pad thai but to each their own. I like the wide noodles in this one and the sauce coats everything quite well. And there's some vegetables thrown in for good measure. :) -Pad See Ew: tastes a lot like pad kee mao but not spicy. more suitable if you don't like spicy. -Pad thai: very good as well! slightly sweeter than pad kee mao but also a classic dish that is made well. Definitely a decent starting point if you've never had thai food. Chef's Special 2 dishes were highlights for me: -Anything DUCK (so... maybe more than 2...): I 've had all the types of duck dishes besides red curry duck I think (crispy duck fried rice, duck noodle soup, crispy duck basil). They fry the duck nicely so it is very crispy and contrasts well with the other soft dishes. Would recommend trying one (probably the Crispy duck fried rice or duck noodle soup) to see if you like. Not for everyone but I definitely enjoy it. Fried whole flounder in basil sauce: This is definitely an IN PERSON dish. the option was red snapper or flounder (I imagine the red snapper would be great for this dish). They price based on size so pick how large you want. There's a choice between basil sauce and curry sauce and the waitress recommended basil sauce. I recommend getting the sauce (whichever you get) on the side so it doesn't affect the crispiness of the fish and you can choose how much sauce you want! The meat was perfectly tender and was fantastic with a bowl of white rice. Desserts JUST GET THE MANGO STICKY RICE! I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY (almost) ALWAYS HAVE SWEET MANGOS BUT ITS GREAT! The broth is light, sweet, and salty with the aroma of the Pho spices. The noodles were blanched to perfect! The meat was a little bit thick for my likings. I prefer thinner slices of beef.
