This Spa is amazing. I got the sampler package and its a very reasonable price for a full pampering session. I got a perfect mani and pedi from a great nail technician and then an amazing massage that made me so relaxed I almost fell asleep! In between sessions there is water and trailmix, massage chairs and up to date magazines that I loved! The time in between sessions was very brief and it ended with the best facial I have ever received. I normally find facials to be painful and uncomfortable but this one I was told exactly what was going on my face and she was very gentle and gave me an AMAZING neck shoulder and chest massage. I am conflicted because I love the staff members I've gotten services from, but my most recent experiences are not on par with their "spa" platform and prices. First, without a doubt, you will wait at least 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment time for your service to begin. I have done all nail services except one time I did a spray tan, so not sure if this is the standard wait for all services or just nails. My second to last visit, I came with my mom and we waited 50 minutes past our scheduled appointments. Looking back, we should have left even though it was her Mother's Day gift. Anyways, I brought it to the attention of the owner, and she sent me a personal email and a gift certificate for one free pedicure. I was very appreciative of the gesture. Once inside, you're greeted and then taken to the dark "relaxation room" where you are offered a drink and a hot neck towel. I always choose to wait in the lobby. This time I wasn't offered a water or other drink while waiting. Speaking of waiting, I waited three months before scheduling my next appointment to use my gift certificate in hopes that things had gotten better. I opted to get the Champagne and Rose pedicure which entails a bit more than the standard pedi. I waited 10 minutes before I was called back. No other clients were back there, so no idea why I had to wait. But as I mentioned, this is the standard occurrence, so I was prepared for the wait. What I wasn't prepared for was being there for over 2 hours. I love a pedi and being pampered, but 2 hours is just way too long to sit on their pedicure bench. The mineral salts were forgotten and not added to the water until about 30 minutes in. My feet didn't get wrapped in the plastic little baggies when the mask was setting, but I chose not to say anything because I was ready to get out of there. My pedi was done very well, and I have nothing but good things to say about the employee who helped me except for the amount of time it took. Finally, when I was leaving, the front desk girls couldn't find my gift certificate. Thankfully, I still had the email from the owner. I thought it was very odd it wasn't already on my account, though. And I didn't get that piece of chocolate you normally get when you leave. A lot of my complaints may sound silly, but when you're coming to Simply Your Spa, you are paying a premium for these services and you expect the details and nice touches. Needed a quick brow wax after moving to Charleston. Saw the reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. The girl I had was ok, nothing special, not much of a personality but nice. She did an ok job, but I haven't been back. Overall, the spa was clean and quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Nice cozy waiting area and I was offered tea, water, etc. while I waited which was not very long. Parking was good and the location was visible from the street. I've since found a great place for waxing but would consider coming back for a massage based on the atmosphere. read more

I wish had a five star experience like everyone else. I really wanted to love Simply Your Spa and went for a little pampering before a vacation, but I just wasn't in love. I won a gift certificate a while back for a pluff mudd pedicure and thought the perfect time to use it would be before our upcoming cruise. I booked my appointment online which was super convenient. I would definitely recommend trying their online site. You can check out all their services, get bios on the staff, and book your appointment straight from your computer. The spa is very cute. Upon entering your are in the lobby/shop area that is filled with all types of products, jewelry, and candles. They have a great selection of all types of gifts and goodies. After I checked in I had a seat upfront. A few minutes later I was called back to another side room. This must be the relaxing room. It was dark, had spa music playing, comfy couches and chairs, coffee and tea. Loved it, but as soon as I sat down and got comfortable it was time to go get my pedi. I felt a little rushed through the process because as soon as I would sit down and get comfortable I was getting moved to the next section. I never really got to enjoy the amenities. I'm sure some people are in a hurry and don't like all the wait, but I was expecting to get to take my time and relax. The young lady that did my pedicure was the absolute sweetest. However, I just didn't love my pedicure. There wasn't a lot of time spent on my toe nails; not cut just very lightly filed. I felt a little pressured into my color choice and didn't love it. We all can get those dry heels after a cold Charleston winter. I expected a little work here, and they looked the same as when I came in. And after all was said and done I felt my toes looked like I did them at home. When I got home I cut my own nails and treated my own heels. I did have a gift certificate so they pedicure came at no cost to me. However, I wanted to leave feeling pampered and like I just received a nice treatment. If I would have paid for that myself I would have been even more disappointed. I don't want to give Simply Your Spa any negative marks because they're staff seemed very nice and friendly. They seemed to have customers in that are regulars and must love the place. It just wasn't for me. read more

Ladies - I've been on the pro tour of day spas and this place is absolutely heaven. It's unassuming and simple, cozy and intimate - and for me, that's a huge plus - who needs attitude with spa services? My sea spa pedicure was amazing - my feet were in their worst ever condition - and from the beautiful copper soaking bowl to the massage, treatments, shaping and polish it was tip top. Same for the manicure. Amazing one hour facial with special attention to my sensitive skin, foot and neck rub, and just plain nice people with amazing technique, hygiene and environment. They are apparently expanding now to offer yoga and other services, and I'm sure it's all just going to get better. One of those places you selfishly hate to Yelp because you want to keep it to yourself, but you know you've got to shout out. read more

Also worth mentioning, I went with a bridal group and because of miscommunication they didn't even give the bride her full allotted time. Massage was awful. Customer service even worse. Completely ignored after expressing my concern. The Massage: Went in for a couples massage with my wife a few weeks ago and I had the most awful massage I've ever had in my life from Erin. It makes me cringe just to think about it now. Erin used the exact same rough, repetitive technique for the entire hour, and did not once focus on any knots or problem areas that I mentioned before the massage. I generally like massage therapists to use hard pressure, but I woke up with BRUISES on my back and neck the next day. The Customer Service: When asked for feedback via their automated feedback system, I expressed my concern and dissatisfaction. It's been 3 or 4 weeks and I haven't hear so much as a peep based on my feedback. What does that tell me? Simply Your Spa does not care about their customers. Being a business owner myself, I can't imagine ignoring an unhappy customer. They should be ashamed of themselves for stealing my money and completely ignoring me when I expressed concern. I want my money back. I want to be fair and I would be happy to update this review after I hear from the spa, but as of now they have still not contacted me or nor made any attempt to resolve the situation. So, i don't do too many pedicures since moving to Chz 5 yrs ago. Usually not so great for the $$ but some friends talked me into a girls night w/pedis. The staff was SUPER accommodating. There were 3 of us getting pedis, we brought our own food and wine and they provided the glasses. Granted they only had one person to do all 3 pedis even though we had called way in advance but she did a great job. Took way longer than we expected but then again we had plenty to discuss while each of us waited. Shaniqua was our nail tech and she gives a great foot/leg massage and pedi. She was very respectful and friendly. The staff that checked us in and out were great too and the whole pedicure (which we turned into a night out) was only $40. read more
