Where do I begin... THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN, which is unfortunate considering I had high hopes due to some good reviews of him on the internet. I waited for an hour to see him (he had arrived to the office late that day) but was told the wait wouldn't be much longer since he likes to see his patients very quickly (red flag). This was confirmed later when I was finally in my appointment with him and he told me I "only have a 15 minute appointment slot" with him. But believe me, I didn't want to be in the room with him after the first minute. He didn't even introduce himself before he started spit-firing yes/no questions at me. He did not allow any room for conversation about my condition, history, or diagnosis... only yes/no was allowed out of me, I felt like I was being scolded. I was so taken aback I told him that I wasn't comfortable with his aggressive approach. He then told me I could leave. I was appalled, but decided to stay just because I was curious to see if he could in any way redeem himself. I paused, said hello my name is _, and took it upon myself to shake his hand and make a proper introduction, and let him know I also had questions I would like to ask him. After he finished whatever questions popped into his head, I proceeded to ask him questions about my thyroid condition. I was very discouraged and disappointed in his lack of general knowledge in treating a patient with an autoimmune condition. For the majority of my very relevant questions, his responses were only excuses for not having any answer. He had not looked at my file, tried to increase my dosage of medication before examining any lab work, and also tried to tell me I have eczema with no basis. In general he was very condescending. At the end of a very short and incredibly uncomfortable appointment, I told him I would not like any labs done that day and he said OK and left the room and closed the door. When I opened it after him to leave he was nowhere to be seen... I didn't even know how to get to the exit. No goodbye, nothing. He is an extremely rude person, and should not be in practice. He obviously has no care for me as a patient, and I can tell you that I am not the first patient to complain about him. I should feel supported when seeking care from a specialist, but I left in shock and completely hopeless. read more

This is a hard review to write because I REALLY like Dr. Tebi and think he is an excellent doctor. I've been with him for about 5 years but his office staff is soooooo beyond frustrating! I will call, and call, and call...leave messages, beg and plead to get a call back and no one EVER calls back. It's impossible to make an appointment. Even if you get through which is almost never, they put you on the perpetual hold 20 - 30min minimum. This is causing undue stress. I am ready to leave which breaks my heart because Dr. Tebi is the best endo I've ever had. Very, through and friendly. Asks lots of questions. That's why I've stuck it out for so long but I don't think I can handle it anymore:( read more

Dr. Tebi is an awesome endocrinologist. He is thorough and goes over all your test results. I began seeing him when he was fairly new in his practice and I never had a problem getting an appointment. Now, he's gotten busy and popular, he's harder to get in with. I guess thats the nature of the beast. I previously saw a different endo who I could NOT STAND. I'm so thankful that I found Dr. Tebi. After seeing this doctor I went to a real knowledgeable doctor who had nothing good to say about this doctor. Not only did he tell me I didn't need to take any thyroid medicine he told me he ordered tests that did not need to be done. I honestly believe he doesn't know what he is doing. I am sure many may think he is knowledgeable but he lacks the experience and training needed to really diagnose you. He is in it to fill his pockets and bill your insurance for tests you don't need. There are many other qualified doctors in the area just would never go to this one. read more

I recently came to Dr. Tebi after being sent home from a scheduled surgery due to my blood sugar being too high. I was embarrassed and desperate for help controlling my Type 2 diabetes. My appointment was the day after the cancelled surgery. Dr. Tebi was very kind and attentive during my visit. I was given a Dexcom monitor in my stomach. I was also given a shot of a drug called "Ozempic " without my consent. Dr. Tebi felt my fear in taking these type of medications would prevent my taking the shot at home. He was probably right. Here is why the review is so poor. The next day I was very sick with vomiting and nausea. I called the office to reach only a machine during regular hours. I left a message and had to call back again to get a response. Never spoke to the Doctor. They said to not continue with another dose. I was sick and out of work for a week. On top of that my Dexcom monitor stopped working and I called the office and left messages, five days later no call back. I was scared and needed guidance to no avail. read more

Dr. Tebi is a godsend. I drive 75minutes one way just to see him. For years I've jumped around doctors looking for one that actually understands my condition and also knows how to best treat it. He checks things previous doctors hadn't and is getting me on the right track to being healthy. He takes the time explain what he's looking at instead of just throwing a prescription at you and he will answer any questions (I always have questions and want to understand what my body is up to so this is very important to me). In addition to all this, he also accepts Medi-Cal which is a HUGE relief for me as I am going to temporarily lose my health insurance while in school--it's a weight off my shoulders knowing I don't have to sacrifice my health for an education. He is very knowledgeable and I feel I am in good hands--I wish I had found him sooner! I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Dr. Tebi is the first doctor that has ever REALLY listened to me. I've always had a bad impression when it comes to doctors in general, they have always ignored my symptoms and lacked in all communication. The fist time I saw him I cried because for the first time I didn't feel crazy. He told me everything i was feeling was real and how we can start managing it. He ordered me tests that my previous doctor had never bothered to do and then officially diagnosed me (my previous doctor put in my records i had Hashimoto's Disease but never relayed that information to me..) He may seem like he is in a hurry sometimes but the time you do have with him he is extremely informative and makes you feel like you really matter and listens to everything you say. read more

Dr. Tebi is a very knowledgeable and kind doctor. After many months of not knowing what is wrong with me, Dr. Tebi ran some important tests and low and behold, he found the problem. He also takes the time to explain everything medically and answers any questions one may have. I honestly look forward to my appointments because I know it is one step closer to fixing my issues! Dr. Tebi is one of the best doctors I have known in terms of being thorough, patient and knowledgeable. Having spent many months/years in hospitals during my life I have dealt with many doctors. Most have been good and a few are exceptional like Dr. Tebi! I met him about 3 years ago in the hospital when my overall health was quite poor. I had many specialists but each mostly looked at their part in my healthcare. Dr. Tebi read my whole (long) history and saw some issues that no one else had noted. He was able to put a name and treatment on an underlying condition that I had most likely had for years. Whenever I see him he carefully reviews all my test results and proposes a treatment. He wants to see how I am doing overall, and not just with my endocrine problems. I recommend him most highly! read more

Dr. Tebi is the best endocrinologist I've ever had. He listens to you and let's you ask questions. He explains things so you understand it. I had to bring my kids because they didn't have school and he was interactive with then and made them laugh. His staff is also wonderful. The nurse is so sweet and so caring. Hello my name is Bunny and I'm in my early 60's. I have been to literally 50 plus doctors in my lifetime some good some not so good! Dr. Tebi is a young, smart, knowledgeable doctor. He is by far one the finest doctors I have ever come across. Dr. Tebi moves from patient to patient because he is a very busy man and I understand why. Although he is busy he gives you the time needed to answer all your questions and puts in a way with his analogies to help you to understand. His staff is always friendly which in my book surely helps his business. If the staff is not friendly sometimes it doesn't matter how good the doctor is. The parking is always good and overall I truly believe Dr. Tebi is destined for something spectacular ... for now and his future as a doctor. read more

Dr Tebi himself is not that bad, what is really bad is the lack of respect for his patients time . I had seen him 3 times and all the 3 times I had to wait for a whole hour to see him , so if you have a lot free time and don't mind seating in a waiting room he is the doctor for you. I personally find it very disrespectful to make people wait for over one hour sometimes to be seen, I have a busy schedule and do not appreciate it . The last time I brought it to the receptionist attention his usual delay on seen his patients and her answer was " this is the way our office operates". Wow read more

I am in my early 20's and have been struggling to keep up with others my age due to feeling fatigued and quite lousy. I have to thank Doctor Tebi for tracking down the cause of my autoimmune symptoms. He is courteous, frank, and explains everything to me in "layman's terms" so that I can understand what is going on medically. I've been here for 2 appointments. The first time, he was an hour late to see me. The second time, he was 45 minutes late, and I only saw him because the lady who had been booked with the SAME appointment time as me couldn't take it anymore and rescheduled. He sent me for a blood test to a lab that my insurance didn't cover. This happened with another doctor before, but that office admitted it was their responsibility to order labs from the lab that is covered by your insurance, as they have reps for that and are supposed to know. This office tried to challenge me on that, and now I might be stuck with a $1000 bill for a bunch of tests this Doctor ordered me to take at a Quest Diagnostics instead of a LabCorp. read more

Best Endo around.. 1st doctor to address all my issues and not accuse me of being a steroid seeker.. low T is something a lot of men in my family have dealt with as I now and dealing with.. the range for acceptable levels, all the information about low T, why its happening, and what to do is etremely overwhelming. Dr. Tebi explained everything to me and made it easy to understand.. I went in nervous, not only because most Doctors don't take low T seriously but also because of the negative side effects of low T including onset of type 2 diabetes that could again go unaddressed, to leaving feeling hopeful that Dr. Tebi will find the cause and treat it appropriately. He is the first one to quickly understand my conditions and why I had them and put me on a good plan with only a couple of labs. He asks thorough questions to make a complete assessment. Amazing doctor. I met Dr. Tebi a couple of days ago over at Henry Mayo hospital where my 94 year old mother had been (re) admitted for a low sodium level and some other problems. Mom's PCP brought him in upon her (re) admission. I could tell IMMEDIATELY how passionate Dr. Tebi was and is for his profession. You could just "feel" his knowledge and I liked the fact that he was able to talk in "lay" terms and give analogies to make me better understand the tests that he was going to run and why. He told me that he would be making rounds the next day and I really wanted to get a face to face update from him. I stayed around for several hours in mom's hospital room and was told he was in the building. When one of the CNA's told him that I was waiting he immediately came to mom's room to talk to me even though he had other patients ahead of mom to see. He knew I had been waiting and wanted to make sure he talked to me because of the importance of the situation and tests that he had run. I only wish Dr. Tebi was able to admit patients but because of his specialty he cannot but I certainly will use him for any problems mom has and might have in the future where his area of expertise and professionalism can be used. While Dr. Tebi was personable and competent in other areas. He did not seem to know how to treat my condition. He ordered tests i have not had in 20 years (since I left adolescences) because those tests are only done on children with my condition. He didn't order the correct blood tests and was more concerned with my thyroid (which seems a common occurrence with SCV doctors). When I needed medication filled (that I rely on to live) I was told to have my new doctor fill it. It has been a year since I've seen him is the norm for my checkups. I assume "have my new doctor fill them" means I should find a new doctor. read more

Dr. Tebi is an excellent endocrinologist. I am in remission from Cushing's disease. He is one of the few specialist I trust with this rare disease. I was referred to Dr. Tebi for management of hypothyroidism. He's good at explaining things to make them easy to understand. He also did a good job anticipating what dose of medication I needed and how my body would react, which got my levels corrected quickly. This review is overdue. I've been a patient of Dr. Tebi's for over a 1 1/2 years now. In my experience, Dr. Tebi has been excellent in terms of looking out for my health and my well-being. My particular condition requires blood work and a corresponding visit every 3 - 6 months. As part of these visits, Dr. Tebi takes his time to review the results with me, clearly explains in plain English what the results mean, and most importantly, keeps me on a path maximizing my health despite my situation. I absolutely give Dr. Tebi 5 stars. His staff has changed a little over the past couple years, but each time they've been helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Dr. Tebi is thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable, and one of the best doctors that I have ever seen. His ability to explain thyroid issues, and to listen to you, is something that I have not experienced in a long time.
