We had dinner at this solid Mexican spot in Clarkston. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, quick friendly service, and a huge menu. I ordered the Barbacoa Sinaloense and while it was good, there were a lot of little bone shards that were challenging. The salsa was outstanding , and everything else was quite good. This was our first trip to this restaurant and it will be the last. Nice atmosphere way too many staff just standing around we counted 9 staff and only 7 tables were occupied. Worse my husband ended up in the hospital with severe food poisoning. He started getting sick that night. We are testing him for ecoli. He is negative for the flu and Covid. Excellent authentic Mexican food. If you like the cold dishes(my favorite) you won't be disappointed. If you like it spicy they can make it hurt. Portions large and price is fair. Wait staff friendly and timely. Some of the negative reviews are absolutely ridiculous, especially someone commenting on the 'race' of the staff. Please ignore the morons. This restaurant has great food. We didn't find it to be very ADA friendly. It's got all the spaces and restrooms. You can't push a wheelchair under the table to eat comfortably, there is just no room to push up to the table. The chairs are NOT comfortable at all the seat part is pushed down and some are breaking through. Food is good. read more

Service was very friendly and very Caucasian. The only non-white staff I saw was busing the tables. Ordered two Carnitas tacos. Someone needs to tell the kitchen that shredded pork is not the same thing as Carnitas. The last time I had a taco w a hard shell was in the 1980s before we all knew better. $50 for two plates of tacos and one beer seems high. read more

Wow! Sinaloa is a must have in LC Valley. Did not expect such an authentic menu in this area. Staff is very friendly and attentive and you're sat immediately and met with cups of water and chips and salsa. Prices are very fair and the portions are HUGE. I do not order any alcoholic drinks and have always had great service. But the non alcoholic drinks (sodas or teas) are equally huge match to their food portions. A lot of the staff has been there for the past few years and they obviously make a cohesive team. The manager is doing a great job creating a space that's welcoming for customers and staff. I've been to every Mexican restaurant in the area and this is absolutely the best one. Won't find another restaurant with better quality or better service. I'd give 10 stars if I could! Save your money and especially your time...we had to walk out of the restaurant after "2" rude servers and an equally rude manager! Their goal is selling mixed drinks here...so if you do not order one of their over priced drinks, your table service is not a priority! At least 8 servers standing at the bar chitchatting and we could not get their attention to order iced tea...we were about to finally give up 25 minutes into the visit, our measly iced tea made it to the table and we asked for extra salsa and the server said they were not allowed to bring 2...what the heck...go figure...and we told them we were just going to not eat there...the manager has the audacity to say she would not charge us for the iced tea...my reply was she should not charge us because it just got to the table and we walked out! If this was South Texas, this place would not last a week! Save yourself now and go across the bridge (2 miles) into Lewiston and have a Real Mexican food experience there...you will have better service! We stopped the day of the grand opening a year ago. I have never been to a restaurant more put together from top to bottom on opening night! Busy, yet we only waited 10 minutes! With friendly staff and excellent food! We have visited a few more times taking friends from out of town over the year. Then came their one year anniversary 2020. Ordered the Chile relleno and skirt steak combo; it came with rice and refried beans. The meal cost $27 which is pretty steep for the valley. Skirt steak was pretty plain and overcooked, but was acceptable. The rest of the meal was pretty bad. The Chile relleno had the stem pulled, so I couldn't tell which end was which; got a mouthful of the top of the pepper and that was pretty gross. The filling was mozzarella cheese which was... just bad. The refried beans were from a can and the rice was red, but had nothing else going for it - I might've well been eating instant rice with food dye on it. My friends and I did not finish their food. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. If you like El Sombrero and happen to be on diagonal, then you'll like this. If you want decent Mexican food in the LCV, go to Taco Cecys. read more

The servers were kind and friendly and happy to make recommendations. We went with the carne asada and then the bacon wrapped shrimp. The food was over the top delicious. The shrimp and bacon was sizzling in the pan when it was delivered. Karina was a delight and provided great service. The guacamole was fresh and came as a side on the dinner entree. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The woman answering the phone is beyond disrespectful, rude, and downright disgusting in her treatment of customers. She has a nasty attitude; I would never utilize them again for catering let alone dine in at this restaurant. They need some serious training on customer service etiquette. read more
