Authentic Mexican food with fabulous flavors this was a fantastic stop on my cross country adventure. Since my friend knew about it, this was an epic choice. This is a typical don't judge by the outside, this food was fantastic. My wet burrito was fantastic. Huge, intense flavors, mine was pork filling, so much to eat and the value was incredible. Yum Yum Yum! It's small in size but big in flavor and service was speedy. You can tell the locals love it here! We devoured the nachos(with ground beef) and had some left over even tho 3 of us felt like we ate a lot. I ordered the fish tacos which were season so well I didn't even want the tortillas just the fish and toppings. I jealously stared at everyone's food that was being delivered. The food was really great. We had a group of 12 in their back room. The waiter did a great job of serving us. The favorites were Tostada, Wet Burrito, Tacos, Taco Salad! They only serve beer so if you're looking for cocktails you don't want to go there. The value is great too. Food was fast and hot. read more

Overall the food was not the best especially for $60 and the tacos were tiny, but the main issue was we showed up at 12:21, got asked what we wanted at 12:30 and didn't get our food until 1:10. I can't help myself...I keep coming back! And I am in a rut, the chili relleno is my go-to meal. It has been more than ten years since I was served from their food truck, at least ten they have been in the present location. We travel often, and I have yet to enjoy a chili relleno more elsewhere. Cooked in the classic egg batter, it is available stuffed with cheese or meat! And, though I order it often while traveling, I have yet to have lingua (tongue) that is better. And honestly the tacos were pretty damn good. The service was quick so I didn't have to wait long. And that's important when you're working 12 hours shift and don't have time to waste. So this was the best food I found in Lewiston. Once we found it, we went every single day after work. I only eat seafood and loved the fish tacos. Was disappointed to learn it was tilapia but it was still good. The flan was delicious too! read more

This place is located just south of old town Lewiston in an area that is getting significant attention for upgrades and beautification. There is counter seating and a handful of booths. So its smallish and comfortable. The food we had was pretty tastey, the portions moderate/not excessive and the staff was ok. Dont get me wrong, I'm not complaining about this by any means but I'm also not one to throw accolades and flowery sentiment without the better part of discretion. I'd eat here again for certain but I'm thinking it's more of a local draw/following and not driven to drawing the out of towners... Place was kind of dingy, but that doesn't scare me because if it's still busy, that means the food is good. Didn't work out that way this time. The refries were probably the thinnest I've ever seen (but they were kind of tasty). The beef in the tacos didn't appear to actually have been grilled, but was tasty. Accompaniments like chips/salsa were extra, so I didn't have any. Could not endorse the guacamole at all, as it seemed to be 50% tomatoes, and no longer a fresh green. The tamale was probably store bought, as it came in paper, and not the traditional corn husk. Anyway, my expectations are high for Mexican food, admittedly. Went through yelp reviews and found this place, it had good reviews. I went there on Monday for dinner because many other places in town were closed. The food was OK, but the place was bad. They really need to clean it up. I saw them heating rice in microwave with plastic bag on for 9 minutes. Maybe this is the best taco place in town but with portion size and taste of food, it was a big disappointment for the price paid for the food. They could really stop being stingy on meat. read more
