We remodeled our kitchen without a designer and I was happy to find Sincere Home. The best part of Sincere Home is Kevin - they should give him a promotion! We visited several cabinet stores and most places only had MDF cabinets, but we wanted solid wood so that it would last longer. However, we didn't need fully custom cabinets. MDF cabinets are much cheaper around $5K for our project, but we ended up spending about $25K on ours, which were made in America. Kevin was able to lay out all the cabinets for us and discussed functionality. We're very happy with our lazy Susan corner cabinets, and having built in trash and microwave cabinets. He also helped us update the design after the demo too. Kevin's design was really helpful and we even used them for submitting our permit. I think a designer would have charged at least $5K, but I had a clear idea of what look and materials I wanted so and I was glad to commit the savings to better materials. 4 stars instead of 5 stars, because I think the management is very inflexible. We received the wrong size trash cans and I had to purchase my own, but did not receive even a $100 credit after spending so much there. read more

One year ago I bought a countertop from them that I liked. It looks like smooth concrete. Two years later I bought the same one for my new vacation house up north. I noticed the new counter top was a little different when I picked it up to take it up north, comparing it to the pieces I had with me. I noticed it was a tad bit lighter and less smooth. I didn't think it would be a problem as it wasn't going to be next to the other pieces. I had it installed around my sink. I love my new kitchen! But then I noticed there were stains on the new countertop that would not come out. I asked Sincere about it and they said sun degradation. What? Kitchens are sunny!!! Also, the old pieces didn't stain. Why would only the new slab stain? I tried to get them to make it right but all they offered was a new slab. Ok, that sounds somewhat reasonable, , but renting another van, removing the old countertop, and installing a new countertop would cost $3000. Ugh. No thank you. How about a total refund? They should also cover the cost of installation of a new countertop. Nope. After lots of emails all they will offer is a new slab. Uh, no thank you. I am a business owner and would never leave my clients hanging out to dry like this. If I am in the wrong I take full responsibility. I once stained a client's neighbor's patio. I spent $2500 having it sand blasted since nothing else would do the trick. So I have very little respect for a company that doesn't take full responsibility. Boo. Shame. Cabinetry is sturdy and well made. I bought a bathroom vanity and porcelain sink. They don't install cabinets, just the counter slab and sink, so I had to get someone else to do that. I later discovered that sink had flaws in the finish that had been covered with some kind of coating that was a) not glossy and b) easily scrubbed off. It's now out of warranty, and I feel I was sold an inferior product. read more

He was very knowledgeable with different brands and assisted me with finding cabinet accessories that I was looking for. I can't recommend Sincere enough, and if you need a kitchen design see David at the Downtown Oakland office, he's dope af. He really came through for me when I was in a jam. I had a decades long basement remodel that I needed finished asap. I needed the kitchen installed fast and I was on a super budget. He knocked out a killer design for me wirh cabinets and countertop and appliances that were in stock in like 30 mins on a walk in appointment. He was super knowledgeable about the appliances and applicable codes too and he worked with my budget. He was super patient too as I constantly came through to bug him. He has awesome customer service and it's very clear that he is super knowledgeable in his field of work. Then when I thought things couldn't get better Ken came through and crushed the counter install. I was skeptical because scheduling it was kinda family style. No confirmation email or text wirh hey your install crew is on their way. But he did an amazing job, the counter looked super clean. David is the guy! I would stop here first for any home project because of David. He has helped us with full kitchen, bath, and laundry renovations. David is very easy to work with and has excellent communication, even over phone and email. He is super efficient and knows all his products. He is creative with cabinet design layouts for any space. Emrick is amazing! We feel fortunate to have found someone so helpful when we did a major home remodel including kitchen, two bathrooms, and flooring. We picked out and paid for materials and then our GC picked up the products from a local warehouse. Emrick is a skilled kitchen cabinet designer. We wanted custom cabinets similar to a prior kitchen renovation but custom was cost prohibitive. Emrick was able to take my prior kitchen design plans and create a new design with similar layout and function with standard-sized cabinets, which resulted in a huge cost savings. He was also able to design around a support post on one wall (required our GC to cut on site) and he ensured that the design was square and proportional as the new kitchen is a few feet bigger than the plans. He did a great job with proportions around the vent hood. He also helped identify a few issues related to our choice of countertops that we were able to work out with our GC. Because of the ease of the cabinet design and order, we continued to work with Emrick in the selection of our bathroom vanities, shower systems, tile, flooring, toilets, counters, vanity tops, sink, faucets, etc. We really appreciated that Emrick worked with us through email - it saved us a ton of time. We also appreciated that he would tell us when Sincere could not provide the product that we wanted and he would provide alternatives from other sources so we could stay on track with our timeline. He would also tell us when there were sales and deals. Overall, we had a great experience working with Emrick. This is a beautiful home supply store that sells everything from countertop, bathroom fixtures, flooring to kitchen cabinets. The store is a bit similar to Granite Expo but I feel the store is more on the higher end. They have good countertop brands and nice bathroom fixture brands (Hangrohe for example). We ended up by a shower valve here because the price is great. I would recommend for others if they want to buy nice cabinets, tops and even flooring options. read more

We found the perfect bathroom cabinet-mirror here. There was enough selection that we abandoned the VERY expensive model we stopped in to check out and found something cheaper that fits our needs. Their delivery time estimate was "spot-on," a worthy achievement in these supply chain challenged days. I have worked with Sincere before and always get good service from them. The most recent time was my own kitchen. We had to search around for the type of cabinets to get but once that was decided, everything went very well indeed! The software they use gives a complete picture of what the space will look like. (The next step will be virtual googles that allow us to stand in our future kitchens!). Sincere was able to get our cabinets to us in time amid a global supply chain shortage - they were very communicative about timing and about receiving the cabinets upon delivery. At first, I also ordered countertops from them but changed my mind about materials. The refund came back to me with no issues and no fussing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SINCERE! As a fellow local Chinese business owner here in Oakland, I thought going to Sincere would be a great idea. I wholeheartedly REGRET ever giving them my time & money, and have never experienced a worse business transaction. Their Sales Associates are arrogant, conniving, and downright untruthful. I am in the process of filing a small claims LAWSUIT against them. On July 18th, 2015, I spent $3,800 on a specific kitchen cabinet set they had in the back of their showroom (the HONEY colored Cherrywood Revolution Series), which would match the all the existing hardwood, cabinets and wood trim in my house. After spending more than 2+ hours with "5 year veteran" Janet, I made it crystal clear to Janet that I'd be ordering the HONEY (CVH) color - Revolution cabinet set, personally bringing the sales associate over to see it, also giving her a copy of the cabinets' ad/flyer in a display case. (See photo below). Unknown at the time, Janet entered & applied the incorrect color keynumber to my ENTIRE kitchen set, entering it in as a DARK Chestnut color (CVCN) not my Cherry (CVH) color! My contractor picked up the kitchen set and installed it in at my house unaware of the wrong color. With a full-time job and a family business (and with the house still being renovated), I didn't see the cabinets until recently (September 12th, I admit my own fault). However at this point, I realized Sincere had given me the wrong color cabinets.... I went to Sincere that next day (Sunday 9/13) and spoke to Janet about the issue. I wanted her to explain why the color mix-up happened. Janet spent 30 minutes on her computer tooling around, looking at my invoice/kitchen plan, claiming that she didn't remember me, while over the course of an hour accidentally slipping details about our initial appointment 2 months ago..... smh. Seeing how I was getting impatient & upset, she repeatedly urged me to keep the dark, chestnut cabinets. She suggested that if I preferred lighter wood cabinets to simply install some "LED" light strips underneath the cabinets. REALLY??? In the end, Janet ultimately admitted it was a "delivery issue" and that she'd discuss with her boss about a possible "solution", asking me to come back a week later to follow-up with her boss, Keith. This is where things went from bad to worse. I've never dealt with such an arrogant, pseudo-intimidating, untruthful prick in my lifetime. I met Keith on Sunday 9/20 and nearly @#^#'ing LOST it after talking to him for an hour. After speaking with Janet in private, Keith surprisingly came to the conclusion that nobody from his company had made any mistakes and that I was ultimately somehow at fault!!! Keith claimed that I chose a different kitchen set style on the opposite end of the store (which was in the chestnut color) and that he had the invoice to prove it! What Keith failed to realize is that the kitchen STYLE set I got was correct, it was just in the wrong COLOR. He repeatedly told me that I don't know what I'm talking about, that I don't know what I ordered, nor do I know anything about his invoicing system. He refused to look at the ad/flyer I had chosen OR the photos/videos I had taken on my phone time-stamped on that day, showing which cabinets I had chosen. To help try and resolve this confusion, I asked him to check the security cameras on 7/18/2015 to review where in the showroom his Sales Associate and I were looking (and spending close to an hour) to prove to him what kitchen set + color we had agreed upon. Keith laughed at this idea of mine. Keith furthermore claimed his associates never made mistakes, and proceeded to tell me that he wouldn't be offering ANY returns, exchanges, or compensation for my situation. Without ever being present (doesn't work Saturdays, which is their busiest day BTW), and after all the evidence, he still someone pointed the finger back at me. Last but not least, Keith challenged me to go dispute this $3,800 charge with my credit card, telling me that I'd lose as my signature was on the contract/invoice. If you recall, I never asked for a refund, I simply wanted to know why the mix-up occurred. So, take a moment and put yourself in my shoes. You just spent ~$4,000 with a local business, you received cabinets that don't match the rest of your house, and you simply contact the business to seek an explanation. Not only does the company deny any fault, they offer no solutions or answers, and end up blaming you for the mistake, taunting you to take legal action. So that's exactly what I'm going to do.... It's shameful what money, greed & pride can do to us. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere where they actually care about their customers. Before coming to Sincere Hardware, I had a lot of stress around making sure my measurements were correct for fitting out new cabinets. My husband and I first went to Ikea, only to be ignored. All we needed were a few measurements and the staff at Sincere did all the rest, using some sort of CAD software. My kitchen cabinets look amazing, all for a fraction of the price of Home Depot. Our cabinets were in stock beech dark cherry. They are RTA (ready to assemble) but they will assemble them for free. Our entire kitchen came to $2,300 with tax. read more

I came here after several other stores in search of raw material for a house major renovation. So I was out for kitchen cabinets, fridge, sinks, tiles, bathroom tubs, toilets... you name it all! This place definitely is the Chinese home depot. They will definitely work with you to make it affordable. If they can't beat the price, they won't try to sell it to you. In fact I never felt any pressure to purchasing anything, and this is probably because they're confident in their product's quality. They definitely have a lot of merchandise than the average competitor. I call this the chinese home depot also because they carry brands which HD and Lowes carry where you can now compare without going to an actual home depot. Now they didn't get a full line of stars because there's selective items that they just can't beat home depot and lowes; like Kohler items which HD and Lowes can beat anyone in pricing because they carry them as regular stock meaning they buy in bigger bulk for a huge cost reduction. Oh and Sincere carries reputable foreign brands like Sakara and Toto which isn't something you can find everywhere. read more

* 200th Review * We recently completed phase one of our home remodel and purchased about 70% of our kitchen, flooring, windows, and plumbing fixtures from the team at Sincere Plumbing & Hardware in Oakland. I have to admit planning a remodel was just as challenging if not more difficult than planning our wedding. We shopped Home Depot, Lowes, and attended various home and garden shows, to reach the same conclusion we needed additional help. Our contractor lives in Oakland and suggest we visit Sincere as he is a frequent customer at their Oakland Chinatown store. We first visited Sincere's store on Geary Blvd in San Francisco and noticed their showroom was a bit limit. So we took our contractor's advice and visited the Oakland store. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of products and materials featured especially when it came to plumbing fixtures. We chose a brush nickle finish for our plumbing fixtures, Ronbow bathroom vanities, Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets, granite counter top, tile and bamboo flooring. Best of all was our experience with Zoey the plumbing department manager and Keith the store manager. They were very patient with our multiple orders, informed us of the tax credit for windows, and most of all working with us on color schemes and matching of materials. Sincere has a pretty impressive showroom. they offer everything from granite and quartz countertops, to kraftsmaid and shrock custom cabinets, an extensive tile and hardwood floor selection and a surprisingly nice ronbow assortment (designer knockoffs). they also sell their ronbow products at a discount (i believe around 30% off). my friend also had her hardwood floors and kitchen remodeled by them and she was pleased. they are open on sundays, great for those of us who just dont have enough time on a weekend to hit all the home improvement stores. all employees speak english and are surprisingly friendly. definitely stop by. they are also working on a new showroom with a high end bath display. cant wait to see it. it was roped off last time i stopped in. prices are reasonable read more

We've just started our kitchen remodel project and this was the first showroom we visited to start to get ideas and inspiration. Compared to several of the places we visited in the city, service here was seriously lacking ... we weren't even acknowledged by any of the employees as we wandered around checking out the appliances, fixtures and cabinetry. On the other hand, it's a big space right on the edge of Oakland Chinatown and there is a lot to see - at least half a dozen different kitchen set ups. They've got a handful of appliances as well so if you are looking to do a full kitchen remodel (as we are), this is actually a very good place to start. I walked in thinking I had X budget ... but after seeing the giant refrigerators, the giant wine fridges and the 6 burner stoves - I need to crunch some more numbers. Will definitely be back - or certainly to check out their other locations ... but if you are looking for a consultant that will follow you around and talk to you and try to help you put together your ideas, not sure this is the place. read more

He's particularly knowledgeable about Omega products, and is able to answer questions much more quickly than other sales rep (at Sincere or elsewhere). He was also responsive to inquiries, has good design instincts and has a working understanding of general contracting/remodel, and all around a nice guy to chat with. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff from Sincere, including kitchen, countertop, plumbing fixtures, toilets, kitchen hood etc. 4 STAR FOR SINCERE HOME DECOR: This is a nice showroom with a lot of stuff to look at. People are generally helpful. I reduced one star here because the countertop we were looking at increased in price (due to Trump tariff) a few days after we initially looked at it. We got a verbal price but didn't get a written quote, so we ended up having to pay the high price for the same product in a matter of days. I wish the old price would have been honored. read more
