I received a cover up tattoo from him yesterday and the session was one of the best I've received. I first found the shop because I'm a local and prefer to support local business. JJ was the one who picked up the phone and from there on out he was professional, patient, and a pleasure to work with. He listened to every concern and was able to make adjustments on the spot to make sure the tattoo met my needs. He also made some small suggestions to give my tattoo more movement. And with the attention to detail, you can tell he really cares about his craft. Communication was easy and appropriate. We had fun, casual exchanges, but I felt able to tune into myself when I needed to meditate. He had a calm, but friendly vibe all throughout. I'm grateful I found such a good artist in my neighborhood! One day after, the tattoo looks and feels like it's healing well. I will update this with photos when the tattoo is healed.

When I was there, I personally did not see any visible sanitizing process. I saw the piercer remove the jewelry directly from the bag, and from my viewpoint, it did not appear that it was rinsed or sanitized in any way before being used If the business is certain that their sanitizing procedures were followed and are confident that the cameras would show this during both my friends & my jewelry change, we request that they share the footage with us. If the video clearly demonstrates that we are more than happy to take down or update our reviews. Lastly as of today my friend has a small bump on her nose at the site of the piercing which is why we felt it was impotent to speak up about our experience.

I was greeted by the nice lady in the front who helped us pick a nose ring. My review is mainly for the piercer, when I sat in the chair, he didn't greet me and I saw him grab the jewelry and rinse it under the faucet for 2 seconds. He never washed his hands and he put gloves on dirty hands. He then proceeded to remove my current jewelry, and never swabbed my piercing hole with anything. He just began placing the new ring which I never saw him sanitize. Through out the whole process not once was anything sanitized. He also seemed off like he was a drug user. My friend had the same experience and also co firmed she never saw him sanitize anything when he was servicing me. NEVER AGAIN, I regret coming here. I hope I don't get infected.

We scheduled our tattoo months before I flew out to Cali, I'm coming from North Carolina to get this tattoo with her, so trust me when I say that this 100% worth the flight. This shop is a husband and wife duo. We had originally planned for the husband, Martin, to do both of us but his wife, Rebecca, was available to work on one of us so we can get them done together at the same time. Rebecca showed us her portfolio and my bestie really loved her work so we agreed to do them at once. We learned that the wife is actually the one who trained her husband. She was on 16 years of tattooing and he was on 11. It was really cool to see them able to work and enjoy that together. The shop is clean and small, just the right amount for the two of them, we even had my best friend's sister in law with us. So there was a constant conversation going on the whole time. My bestie had trauma from her past tattoo, where it was extremely painful and the artist she used wasn't very kind. Rebecca was a gem, both her and her husband are super gentle. 3 hours of work only felt like an hour. They use a numbing spray towards the end if it gets to be too much. Normally numbing doesn't work for me anyways but apparently they get theirs sourced from the best because when he put that spray on and went back to working I didn't feel a thing for a good 30 mins. Crazy. I did break out in hives, but I have an auto immune condition so this was my bodies problem and not an artist problem. My best friend's tattoo took about 2 1/2 hours where mine was about 20 mins longer. You can definitely tell the difference between the years of experience, but they both came out absolutely stunning. The only bad thing about this experience is that now if I want a beautiful tattoo, I'll have to fly across the country to get it. Pricewise, I honestly can't compare it to any of my other tattoos because my best friend refused to let me pay the bill. Thank you guys for our beautiful tattoos, 20 years of planning and you both pulled it off spectacularly.
