I was so excited to get my ears pierced, plus they had appointments, so it made me feel comfortable slotting it in my schedule. I booked it the night before for the following day at noon, which is when they opened. I got confirmation through email and text, and also a reminder text about the appointment the morning of the appointment. The policy says to not be late for more than 15 min. By 12:13 the shop was still not open, and I was getting nervous. Finally a truck pulled in and the guy told me the piercing lady (Starr) hasn't shown up there for days. He said I should call ahead next time, as if it was my fault for being there. Sir- why would I call ahead if I already got confirmation several times? And when would I have gotten through if I booked it the night after you closed, and no one was there when you're supposed to be open? Also it's not my responsibility to update your website if your employee doesn't show up. read more

Updating my review after my downsize appointment. I appreciate the courtesy and help from the piercers on site to help correct what I got from Joelle here. I still will not raise my review higher though because it's truly alarming that a place can hire someone to shove needles through someone's face and let them slide doing a bad job. After downsizing and healing the placement, hole size, and angle is still wack and the bars still rub directly against my teeth. Every other piercer who has looked at my mouth has said "yikes". I went to this piercing shop back in march. I was coming to get one of my labrets repierced so I wasn't new to getting piercings. The woman piercing me wasn't really friendly, and I think if you are going to be sticking a needle in my lip, it definitely helps to make the client comfortable. She didn't ask anything about swelling and if I needed longer bars in which she ended up piercing me with really small bars. I had to tell her that my piercings felt tight and I do in fact swell a lot. She told me she didn't have any longer bars but I offered to go back to my house to grab the spare ones I have. When it was time to replace the bars, she wasn't prepared and ended up trying to force the new bar into my lip after the piercing had already closed. She didn't try using a taper at all and I ended up bleeding a lot from her jamming the bar in. She just told me to come back next week to get it repierced but I ended up getting a refund. I feel as if all of this could have been prevented if they were prepared. I honestly don't understand how a piercing shop could fail this badly. read more

I came into the shop yesterday as a walk-in for a nostril piercing and was immediately accommodated. The staff were sweet and welcoming and the check in process was easy. However, when it came to the actual piercing itself, I had multiple concerns with the sanitation practices, especially as my piercer was training another employee. She did not wash her hands prior to putting on gloves and was touching several surfaces without changing the gloves before the piercing, which pretty much defeated the purpose of wearing gloves in the first place. The instruments she used were technically in the initial sterile packaging but they were already opened which means they weren't actually sterile. Regardless, I went through with it. She marked my nose and next thing you know, she was counting down and I had to stop her as she did not clean my skin beforehand. She claimed it was not necessary to both me and the trainee, but not cleaning before performing any invasive procedure creates a high risk for infection so I insisted on cleaning it. I understand it's a piercing/tattoo shop, not a hospital, but after getting an infection from a previous shop due to poor sanitary practices, I want to make sure that my artist is taking the adequate steps, especially when working with needles. I'm glad I had previous experience that allowed me to speak up, but I can't help but think about customers that may come in to get their first piercings or the trainee being taught to continue said practices. I do hope they review their sanitary practices as they were a wonderful crew and created a great atmosphere that I would have loved to come back to. read more

Got my 2nd and 3rd tattoos here and definitely booking another appointment soon! Although I do love my first tattoo and the artist did a great job, I wasn't really made to feel very comfortable for it being my first tattoo. The opposite happened when I got my 2nd tattoo here (rose tattoo in photo). Marlon was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. And his line work is impeccable, I keep getting so many compliments on it. My 3rd tattoo (Jack Skellington tattoo in photo) was done on Friday the 13th by Doug. Same notes as above. Came here on a whim with my husband on Friday the 13th in October, and we waited 5 hours to get our tattoos. Why did we stay 5 hours? Daughter came here the other day and had some very even quality piercings done. She said Mike was the man. Wanted to do my septum so I did call ahead to see if he takes walk-ins. Very friendly welcome the moment I came in. That's always nice to be acknowledged when you come in even if they can't take you immediately. I had been looking for someone who could create the perfect lovers tattoo design and on a day where I had gone for a piercing by Mike (who is also incredibly amazing) I noticed Chelsie had a beautiful design. I paid my deposit for it and set up an appointment about a month and half later. Chelsie was so welcoming and ensured that I was comfortable throughout my whole session. I set up an appointment here with Chelsie almost two weeks in advance. It was going to be my first tattoo and I made sure to provide reference and be very clear about what I was looking for. On the day of the appointment it became clear that Chelsie had not even begun to design my tattoo yet, and she asked me multiple times if I was SURE I wanted what I asked for (all questions I would have been happy to answer two weeks prior when I booked the tattoo!) I wanted to get a tattoo that would match one my friend has, and Chelsie also offered, unprompted, to "fix" my friend's tattoo (that my friend and I love!) which I thought was very rude. She was friendly at first but the way she spoke to me on the day-of was very off putting, especially as someone getting their first tattoo, and I would not recommend her if you want an original design. I wish she had been upfront about what she likes to tattoo, and recommended me to someone else if she felt like our styles were not compatible. EDIT: She just posted on her Instagram story complaining about us and insulting my friends tattoo again? Your website says you provide a "cool laid back and friendly atmosphere with no intimidation where all are welcome." I can't believe I gave her a fifty dollar deposit to insult me and my friend and not even try to give me the tattoo I wanted. read more

Okay, so my boyfriend and I wanted some new tattoos on a whim so we called around a couple places and ended up calling here. One of the artists Chelsea happened to be able to fit us in that day and we were super happy and came in. We both picked two small tattoos, and I will say she was super chill and patient with us during that process which was nice. Everything seemed fine enough, we all got along well, we got the tattoos, we paid (we tipped), we left. I'm not sure where everything went south here but apparently it did at some point. After seeing one of my tattoos behind my ear during the appointment I asked if we could make it a bit thicker of a line, like in the photo I had shown. She said she didn't want to cause too much trauma to my skin that day so we should wait until after it heals (okay whatever no biggie). She said to just come in whenever, but I have a very tight schedule myself and figured it would be better to try and make an appointment. I reached out after a while and asked if she was able to get me in to touchup the tattoo. The first thing she had available was a month away, which once again, whatever not a big deal. We booked the appointment for 12:30 on a Monday. I showed up to said appointment at 12:30 on a Monday and she immediately got a defensive attitude and told me she had told me to come after 5, with a very "What are you doing here, I'm right you're wrong" sort of vibe. I pulled up the messages and showed her she had told me 12:30, and she said she already had someone else at 12:30 and they "paid her a deposit and everything." Sort of like well ..that's it. I had already paid once for the tattoo, and I blocked off the entire first part of my day for that appointment but whatever, still not the point. She told me I could come back later that day and I couldn't because I was booked with my own appointments. I work 6 days a week currently and between the two of our schedules who knows when the next time I would have been able to come in was. The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way is after all that, she never reached out to give me her availability and say "Hey, so sorry about that today, here's my available appointments so we can get you in for your touchup." The way she handled her double booking herself was really unprofessional to me, as someone who has their own business and does their own scheduling when you double book a client it's YOUR responsibility to fix that situation. I don't ENJOY leaving bad reviews for businesses and you know, I wasn't going to say anything about this either because I wasn't trying to be that person but now that I'm here, my other tattoo .. really crooked. Like, very very crooked. Super unhappy with my experience here which is a bummer. My boyfriends tattoos are great though so, there's that. It's hard to find a reliable tattoo artist these days and that's unfortunate. read more
