Somehow I stumbled on Sinful Treats. I'm sure it was one of those late night social media scrolls. I'm so glad I was scrolling because I came across Sinful Treats. At about an hour before they closed one day I decided to stop by. The moment I walked in I was in love. The ambiance was fantastic. We were also greeted almost instantly. The owner is so polite and she also engaged with my son which I love when people engage with my children. We picked up about $40 worth of goodies to include cupcakes, savory scones, bread pudding and cookies. The cupcakes were delicious and moist. I loved the cupcake to icing ratio. It was perfect for my needs. The bread pudding was scrumptious. My favorite cookie was the peanut butter cookie. Pricing was great and they offer a military discount. The cupcake signage did it for my husband. All of a sudden I found ourselves parked in front of sinful treats. We both have a sweet tooth and he knows I love taking food pictures:) There are two pink chairs and one table for seating which is perfect for a quick bite. Upon entering we saw two fridges with sweet and savory pies, slices of cakes, and discounted items that are still great for purchase. I ended up grabbing a mushroom, bacon quiche to warm up for later. My eyes widened once I saw the counter full of cupcakes, bars, scones, cookies, and more sweets. I was a bit overwhelmed, and wanted to buy a little bit of everything. The colors of the small shop was very eye pleasing, and fun at the same time. One of the ladies in the back came out where we were sitting and shared that the coffee was free, and to have some with our treats. She was very nice and sweet like the shop. The hubs told me that we were only stopping for a "snack". I figured a ooey gooey cake bar, lemon bar, and a bacon, cheddar scone with a mushroom quiche was maybe a starter ;). Everything was fresh and delicious. Nothing was overwhelmingly sweet. The chocolate cupcake was moist, and so very good. They give you daily updates on Facebook live where they show you exactly what items are available for the day. And lastly and most importantly their products are delicious and made with such quality. Stopped in on way to base and was surprised by the amazing looking treats, presentation made you hungry with your eyes taking in all the goodies in front of you. Sinful treats is a small bakery on King Street very close to Smitty's. I am completely addicted to the French brownie thing they have in the fridge, it's got brownie chunks, a thick whipped cream, and chocolate mousse. Like I'm legitimately addicted and sometimes it sells out and I'm not ok. I was reluctant to even mention it in this review because I don't want it to sell out again. Maybe this review can convince them to make a few more per week. read more

So I'm only giving one star due to you need to in order to leave a review. This place really has left a bad taste in my mouth. My bother in-law went in a little more than a week in advance to order a small naked cake, pretty easy to make, any baker would know this. Although it states on the website that all they need is a week notice for a simple cake, my bother in-law was sent away and denied any placement of an order. "They were too busy" this by far is the worst customer service. No willingness to work with the customer. No update to website. Thanks for your crappy customer service to our service members!!!! We first discovered Sinful Treats at a Peninsula Pilots game. After those first cupcakes, there was no question as to who we wanted to make our wedding cake. (In fact, we never even visited another bakery.) We spent the next months "stalking" Stephanie at whatever event she was at, just to get our cupcake fix. She pulled an old recipe out because I was insistent on having spice cake as one of the layers. She created an awesome Carolina Panthers cake for the Groom's cake. Not only was our wedding cake perfect, but she was willing to take on a "less than effective" catering manager at our venue. To make my wedding even less stressful, Stephanie did all of the bouquets, table arrangements, & all things flowers, because "I do flower arrangements for fun & to relax." Sinful Treats was camped outside Oozlefinch Brewery in Fort Monroe last Wednesday night. The cute food truck and sandwich board were enough to entice me. The owner/chef was extremely nice and happily told my coworker and me about her company and menu. Sinful Treats generally stays on the Peninsula and especially around Williamsburg. I decided to splurge and order to go the kale and chickpea minestrone soup, cookie dough brownie and a vanilla cake pop. I ate the vanilla cake pop while on the road back to the Southside; it had the right amount of sweetness. The next day, I ate the soup, and it was delicious, tasty, nutritious and filling. I was glad that it didn't taste salty at all. My FAVORITE was the cookie dough brownie, which I spent this entire Saturday afternoon eating. I convinced myself that alternating bites of the brownie and adding steps to my Fitbit would cancel the calories and sugar over a span of four hours! The next time I'm on the other side of the water, I will have to find Sinful Treats' next stop for more scrumptious goodies. read more
