Food and service is fantastic at this hole in the wall diner. We eat there several times a month.

Fertitta's Diner is a very good restaurant for breakfast and brunch style food options based on my experience on a Friday morning. They made an excellent omelet after modifying the choice of meats and vegetables for my taste. The eggs for the omelet was smooth without being burnt. Food inside the omelet was hot. I added a hash as a side and it too arrived hot. Coffee is ok. I prefer a stronger like mud coffee so it was ok. The atmosphere was nice: clean restaurant, appropriate wall decorations, booths and tables in good repair. Service was quick and accurate. Both gals serving were hospitable and always quick to top off coffee or water / drinks. Prices are reasonable; however, like many places today, their suggested tip starts at 20% and is on the total bill, including tax. Gratuity is supposed to max at 15% and on the subtotal before tax. I'm good with tipping extra here as the service earns it, but I didn't care for how the bill showed up. Food, service and atmosphere for a small diner is 5-star; coffee is 3 which is roughly 4.5 so Ferttita's is rounded up to a 5-star. Especially for the happiness and service of the staff. I like this greasy spoon. Hubs and I wanted to grab a good breakfast and this spot fit the bill. I got a crab sandwich and sweet potato fries. The waitress told me that the sweet potato fries are not made in house but the regular fries are. No biggie. I felt like sweet potatoes that day, and they were still good. Hubs got the "the truth" and it was exactly as advertised... A pile of breakfast goodies. He handled it, lol. I really liked my crab sandwich - That crab pattie was nice and big! I was on my way to another spot which turned out to be closed and it worked out quite alright in my books. The place is tiny, maybe 8 booths if even. We got seated right away but all the seats ended up being taken while we were eating. It's seems it's a popular local spot. The menu has all the breakfast classics plus they have specials listed at the door. I had apple stuffed French toast and it was excellent. Moist, loads of cinnamon and decadent sauce. My company had Captain Crunch French toast which was also a banger. I absolutely adore spots like these, with a classic old time-y vibe. read more

My coworker thought she would treat us to breakfast this morning. We ordered corn, beef, hash, fried potatoes, toast, eggs, and some other items. The corn beef hash was made as though it was just mixed with water, dumped the can on a plate and warmed it up and put it in it to go dish. The eggs were very runny. Absolutely disgusting. The potatoes were overcooked. Unseasoned appeared to be old. The toast was old not toasted. The whole thing was a disaster. We just threw everything in the trash. Please do not eat at this place. I stopped in after seeing a positive review about the seafood omelette. I arrived early and was seated quickly. (the place is small, so I would recommend getting there early.) My boyfriend and I have made this our "go to" breakfast spot and each time we have gone I have posted a review. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I love the family feel. Boyfriend had Eggs Your Way with sausage and a side of bacon (he already ate some before I got the picture!) I tried the Cheesesteak Sandwich which fries (that are fresh cut!!) with gravy. Waitress recommended the grilled chicken wrap and it was delicious! Had a spicy kick to it! The waitresses were all helping each other and checking in on us - service was just fine. Brought my mom here because of the nice Mom and Pop feel of the restaurant. My mom loved it. We came in early around 7 o'clock. Wasn't super busy so we were able to take a seat right away. Our waitress was very attentive. The coffee was great! They were able to give us some French vanilla creamer too. I ordered a blueberry pancake and the Greek omelette. My mother ordered a Philly omelette and she loved hers. My blueberry pancake was yummy because it was made with real blueberries, not the compote version you see in chain restaurants. My Greek omelette was ok. It needed some flavoring or seasoning. Even though I added salt and pepper, it still needed a little something. Just a thought for the manager. I have been to plenty of restaurants and many times with mom and pop restaurants, they leave off the seasonings because of the seniors that are unable to have salt or other types of things. The food is bland And That is completely understandable for those individuals. It would be a little extra to ask the customer if they like it plain or seasoned. The guy that owns this place everything donates food right out right outside of his restaurant and feed the poor in the hungry out of his own pocket. The people that work here are amazing. As one of my finest friends and I looked for a place to eat, I read off the list of brunch places around me from Yelp and as soon as I said Fertitta's he said hes heard how awesome it was. So off we went. It wasn't packed, but most of the seats were taken. We found a booth and took a seat, and were helped in about 5 minutes. It's not a huge place, honestly a hole in the wall (okay so it's in a plaza by Food Lion), but the service was great. Seating is limited, but people are continuously in and out. There us bar seating, but it has limited space. Such awesome hospitality and a cozy feel. You can tell most of the customers are local. It feels like your eating your own house. I love that all the coffee mugs are different too! On to the food. HOLY. FREAKIN. CAPN. CRUNCH. FRENCH. TOAST. This is literally the best French toast I've ever put in my mouth. Like EVER. As soon as I got it, it was covered in some kind of icing thing instead of having to pour syrup over it and my fork sliced through the bread like butter. Literally, one slice from a side of a fork and my chunk of French toast came off. This almost melted in my mouth. I couldnt have have been more happy. This was a random pick as I wanted breakfast food, but didn't want to cook or go out. I placed a delivery order through a popular app. When the delivery came, the food was thrown in the takeout container, and had slide all out of place. Then noticing the use of styrofoam containers, was a red flag as an ethically conscious consumer. Not only is it environmentally harmful, but you can't microwave or place warm food in it as it releases harmful chemicals when exposed to higher temperatures. The food I did consume had a bit of flavor, however you can taste if there was love in the making of your food, and this did not have it. Not to mention the whip cream they put in a separate container was melted. Defeats the purpose of enjoying whipped cream don't ya think? The "blueberry" French toast I felt would be in the actual toast or at least the syrup, and it was not. It was strewn about. Now to me, presentation matters in how my mindset is going to enjoying my meal. And this was not exactly gold star. The only item that did come out decent was the club sandwich. A great neighborhood gem. Tucked into a strip mall it is a bit hard to find but with seeking it out. The menu is geared toward breakfast and lunch as their hours are 0700-1500. The staff is very friendly and greet you as you walk in the door. The seating is limited so get there early and avoid the wait. The food is very good and the portions generous. Our food came out remarkably fast and our server was very attentive. Great place for a hearty quick meal. Prices are very reasonable. This is a locally owned business and worth supporting. After looking for a new place to try, I came across this place and of course, I read the reviews and thought "Great, we're in for a treat".The Food was not that good, we ordered 2 breakfasts (eggs, potatoes, biscuits, and gravy) they were extremely bland, and the B&G was gummy and not worth $45!!!! If I had eaten there, I most definitely would have sent it back but since it was a p/u take-out order I took it as a loss and a lesson learned.
