I mean I've been to bars I've hated a lot more, but this bar fails at what it tries to do, if you ask me. Went for a work party where we were required to RSVP (so I'm assuming they passed the RSVPs to the bar where they rented out space) and they only hired one bartender for the night, who was a good bartender, no doubt, but he was completely overwhelmed with the number of people there. As for the karaoke itself, to me (someone that never sings karaoke), the sign of a decent karaoke bar is that they turn the background music up for someone who sucks ass at singing, but they let the good singers shine by turning the background music down. I can't say enough about singers. Great atmosphere and always a friendly crowd! Drink specials that always rotate, the shot wheel, which is spin hourly and where it lands you have a certain amount of time to get that shot for just $2! Excellent bartenders, fast with drinks, well priced. An extensive catalog of songs to sing always updating from very old to today's hits! On the weekends the open the side room as well which gives you a nice stage to sing on, with props, a nice dance floor in the middle with table sewing around the dance floor and row seating in the back. Very easy to go there and make new friends! They're now serving yummy bar food, and they're always doing special events dos holidays. Recommended for a fun night out even if you don't like to sing! Really fun place. The song selections is very diverse as are the clientele. Get there early to put a song in- it takes forever to get to your song. the staff are very talented and will do songs which is great if it's not busy but is really annoying when the wait list is really long and the bartender sings twice before you sing once. read more

WOW. my first time going to singers was 10/22/2018 for a karaoke contest with the grand prize of $1000 and I could not be more disappointed in the selection of Judges. Firstly the judges were inconsistent and lacked the ability to provide genuine and appropriate feedback for each contestant. Most of the time, the Judges gave me and those I came with the impression that they were just pulling words out of the air to say, more than half the time it was not fitting. however, what took the cake was when an African American male was performing, theatrics , vocals, tone and uniqueness were all exceptional... You didn't need familiarity with music to have his voice soothe your soul. Once each contestant is finished, they are then given feedback by the judges, so once this man was finished, the first judge began to commend him on his uniqueness, nerve and talent, for the first time I agreed with this judges commentary, until he then proceeds to say "you kept me guessing each verse, i didn't know what or how you were going to deliver, DANCE MONKEY DANCE" the crowd then began to boo at the comment the judge had made. -_- c'mon now it doesn't take a rocket science to know that it wouldn't be wise to call a black man a monkey. horrible just horrible. read more

The bar can be completely empty and they will let their favorites sing over and over while your songs never come up. The staff is rude. I tried to give this place a second chance and they sucked again. They make you wait so damn long to sing your song. And it's super hard to hear when they call your name. So we ended up just sitting in the theater area waiting. Finally, after waiting two hours I asked how much longer until my song and they said a half an hour so we just left. Never again. read more

I like this place. Mostly because I like to stare at people. Start singing and sell me a few cheap drinks and I'll stare all night. Great people watching, cheap booze and if you really want to fulfill some Star Search fantasy from 1980, you can, it's not too late! I sang once and it was terrible, I mean I practically had an out of body experience where I could see myself on the stage singing, and I got physically ill, and then my stage-self saw my audience- self barfing, and it started a fucking chain reaction that shut the place down. I've been frequenting Singers Karaoke Club since it opened seven years ago and to this day, it is my absolute favorite place to let loose. There isn't a better place in town for the matchless karaoke experience that Singers provides. I love to go to Singers Kareoke Bar. My daughter encouraged me to go and audition for a duet competition with her. First of all, it is a great feeling that my child still likes to hang out with me and perform with me as well...We made the audition and I was so excited. The regulars as well as the owners there treat us great. I honestly never felt so accepted and once you go there and make yourself known a little bit...they own you! Now you are Family...We did not win but we brought down the house. They also hold a solo competition which I tried out for. I made that audition and prepared for competition. I did not win that competition but left feeling great because of the positive feed back and fun. It is a great night out for anyone who participates whether you sing or watch and listen..you will make friends and karaoke is free entertainment folks! They offer bar food and it is very good. I think my family shared just about everything on the menu and the prices were good. I don't drink alcohol but the bartender made coffee for me. Whenever my husband and I make the trip back to Central New York to visit family, we make it a point to stop in to Singers Karaoke Club for a few drinks--and of course, to sing a few songs! The staff cultivates a welcoming, fun atmosphere, and everyone--from total amateurs to budding stars--receives respect and encouragement when they climb up on the stage (which is complete with props and costumes!). I've always been impressed by the selection of songs, and they are constantly updating the song list to reflect current hits. I was in from out of town with a few co workers. We love to go to karaoke bars in NYC and so we looked up one in Syracuse. We found singers and decided to give it a shot. The bar was nice and they had good drinks selections. The karaoke selection was pretty up to date and the sound system was amazing. We had a good time singing our favorite songs. The only downside was the girl managing the karaoke. She seems to have forgotten that karaoke is supposed to be fun and not taken so seriously. She would get angry when me and my friends would duet together on songs she seemed to not be duets. She was pretty rude about it. She would also sing a song every 4 or 5 songs. She did have a beautiful voice but I would rather here people at the bar sing than the bar staff. At one point the bartender was singing and we were waiting for drinks the karaoke host lady wouldn't even get drinks for people. Lose the karaoke host lady and your bar would be great. Karaoke is supposed to be fun not some sort of elite competition. You should try out for American Idol if that's what you are looking for. read more

My girlfriend and I entered this bar at 10 pm and entered songs to sing with an estimated 45 min wait. After an hr they told us it would another 45 min. Then after the second 45 min wait they told us it would another 55 min wait. After we had already waited 2 1/2 hrs they told us they were bumping all locals and people who had already sang to the end of the list. We told them that we hadn't sung at all in almost 3 hrs and we were from louisiana so we are definitely not locals. The bartenders were ok and the karaoke dj's play favorites and will bump you. I would not recommend this bar to anyone who likes to sing unless you are a regular. If you have a few months to invest go for it. read more

The owner and the current staff are excellent. I never go to sing but I always have a great time listening to others. Sometimes it does take a long time to get to sing but if you think of it like this, it makes sense. If each song takes 4-5 minutes then each hour they can do 12-15 people. A friend of mine is a weekly regular and he is lucky to get in even once on the weekend. If you come after 11:30 on a busy day and request a song your chances of singing are slim. I hope eventually she opens a second location; her karaoke business model is very successful. read more

Whether you've never done karaoke before in your life or you're a seasoned singer, this is definitely a place to check out. Selection of songs is awesome, and it's a very welcoming environment...no pressure or judgment, just a place to hang out and sing whatever you want and have fun. My only complaint is that if you get there late and it's crowded, you may wait an hour or more to sing, but if you go early enough most nights it's quieter and if you're more self conscious (like me) that might be a better time to try out new songs, etc. There are all kinds of events planned throughout the year, and I have seen more marriages (not just hookups!) happen as a result of couples meeting at this place.
