Went here on a Saturday night. This was the first time we have visited this restaurant. I was a bit confused about the sign stating you had to be over 16 years of age to eat inside the restaurant. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol (but you can bring your own for a fee) so they must have had a bad experience with teenagers. We ordered the Hot Microphone Pizza which was very good. Highly recommend. Our friends ordered two other types of pizzas which they said was good. My only recommendation would be not serving salads in 'to go' containers. I've seen this in another Smithville restaurant. Personally, I think it takes away from the dining experience. Definitely worth a try. read more

I wish I could review the food and service, but you see, we could not eat there. They were too afraid one of my two 14 year old daughters would somehow 'get hurt' from their pizza oven. You read that correctly - 16 and up - are allowed to eat here. We spend almost every weekend in the spring, summer and fall in Smithville. We are a family of 6 and love pizza. I figure our family alone is worth $2,000 / year if we were allowed to eat there, so given the lake crowd around here with kids they are missing out on thousands of dollars of revenue with this galactically stupid restriction. Its so stupid, you will not even get my 'to go' business. What a shame. Ha - and you want to know the funniest part of all of this - we actually did eat here last year. Despite my kids surviving that harrowing, death defying expereince, we could not eat their tonight. What a joke. read more

A bit easy to miss this spot, circle around the square and at the corner you'll find a great pizza! We didn't try one of their specialty pizzas but will be back again to try. What you need to order is a specialty roll. We ordered the BBQ chicken and first it was a LOT larger than expected so don't let the price scare you off, large enough for 2 if your not a big eater. This was crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside - took our order to go and it was piping hot for the short travel home and ready for pick up to the minute it was shown. Placed pickup order. Was done early. A plus! First time ordering from here. Kept it simple. Large pie with light cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms. Basing this rating on the service and quality of the pie. Very good pizza pie. Very good toppings. I liked that they had regular and spicy pepperoni to choose from. Service was very friendly! Wish you guys had bacon egg and cheese on a honeybun, overall great place. The service was amazing totally epic homie. The ambiance inside the restaurant was warm and cozy, made me feel like I was in momma crib eating a bacon egg and cheese on a honey bun. Only problem i have is i couldnt bring my baby momma son inside becuz only 16+ can be inside!? like wut da f**k my n*g*a. Smithville has my second favorite pizza place! Crust is fantastic along with a very nice sauce. Server was very friendly with just the right amount of attention. If you want some homemade pizza around Smithville, this is your place! read more

So I wanted to revisit my hometown for the annual Christmas on the square and parade. I tell my wife this would be a great fun thing to take the grandsons too! "We can have pizza downtown after the parade and then walk over to the other holiday activities! The boys will love it!" Well, it's a good thing they couldn't make it. We walk into the restaurant and the first thing we see is a sign stated "16 and older" for inside dining! I even heard who I assumed was the owner tell a family, "Dining room is 16 and older!" Wait!? What?! Sit down restaurants downtown are fairly rare here. The ones that are there don't really have many items to appeal to a 4 and a 7-year-old palette. But all kids love pizza! Not here, though! We were so excited for them to try it. My wife asks why. We are presented several somewhat lame excuses. They are worried about petty lawsuits because they have karaoke with songs that may contain foul language - karaoke doesn't start until 8 PM. Or they have a BYOB policy and some customers may be drunk. Or they wanted to provide a place for 16 year olds that just got their license to have a place to hang out. Or the big excuse - their pizza oven is exposed (see photos) and it is 600 degrees and kids could get burned...a simple railing could be installed to prevent that - there is plenty of room. Maybe parents could be responsible and make sure it doesn't happen? I can only imagine how much family business they are losing at the expense of not wanting to deal with kids. This is enough to make us not want to go back. Unfortunately, there is more. it took almost an hour from the time we ordered until the pizza was brought to us. I worked for Pizza Hut way back when and they had the same type ovens. We filled those up with pizzas, but from our table we could see they were putting no more than three at a time they have two ovens. I saw ours go in at the 45 minute mark. The oven cooks them in about 10 minutes. There are only about 8 or 9 four-top tables and when we got there 3 were empty and 3 were eating already. The pizza is good, but soggy at the middle. You have to eat the first few bites with a fork before you can give it that New York pizza fold. I'm pretty sure that was from being prepped too long before going into the oven - I could be wrong - it's been over 40 years since I was in the business. Hey if you don't have kids screaming for pizza and want to hang out at an all-adult establishment - you got a 5-star establishment right here. Otherwise, you have to get it to go or get it somewhere else. read more

First time to visit Singer's last night. I was very pleasantly surprised with the warm and inviting interior. We were really excited that they have cauliflower crust pizza and it was delicious! We also had the spaghetti and meatballs, the spaghetti is handmade at the restaurant. We definitely will be back soon! read more

My wife and I have made it through most of the pizza menu selections with zero disappointment. (yes we like it that much)! Here's the verdict: as mentioned, at Singer's Landing there is no bad pizza, Only varying degrees of goodness, based on your own taste preferences. The selection covers a wide variety, so no one is left out! (Our favorite is the Subwoofer which is a meat pizza but you owe it to yourself to try the "Hot Microphone" that includes pepperoni and hot honey). Crust: Pizza (IMO), first it is best to judge a pizza by the quality of the crust, and Singer's Landing nails it! The crust is always fresh, and is a New York style, and always cooked perfectly. Toppings: Always fresh, of high quality, and abundant. Value: I believe that in general you get what you pay for! Although Smithville has no shortage of chain Pizza offerings and you can get cheaper pizza, but you will not get any better anywhere. Singers Landing is the only private non-chain pizza place and unquestionably the best place for quality home made pizza not only in Smithville, but I would challenge anywhere in the Upper Cumberland. Service is top notch! Always friendly, kind and helpful. Todd and his crew treat everyone as family and everyone is warmly welcomed and treated as family from the time you arrive until you leave. Ambiance: although I have only ever utilized the pick up or to-go, the dining area is cozy, warm and inviting. This is a real gem for Smithville, and I encourage everyone to give it a try. read more

Excellent pizza cooked in a brick fired pizza oven! Wow, now Smithville has a great pizzeria!! Owners Todd & Sandy researched pizza ovens for months, and went to train in the pizza capital of the country, NYC. Their work has paid off. In a completely and newly renovated building, they have done a magnificent job in creating a very nice "old world" pizzeria, complete with a trophy pizza oven as center stage*. The pizza is perfect, and you will eat the crust, which is always a tell to a great pizzeria. They currently have a large handful of signature pizzas on the menu, as well as salads, and we're told to expect calzone in the future. We tried two of the specialty pies, the "Stage Fright Special" which is a four cheese pizza that include provolone, fontina, mozzarella, and pecorino-romano cheeses, and the "Hot Microphone" which is a pepperoni and cheese with a sweet heat (hot honey) drizzle. All the ingredients are freshly prepared. *There is also a stage and a sound system for karaoke, so this will be a fun night out staple restaurant, not just in Smithville, but in all of middle Tennessee.
