Stopped here driving from Nashville to Pigeon Forge. I am so glad I did. Great food and great service. Pizza was great as was the spaghetti and meatballs! Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Stopped here on a whim and had some of the lunch special salads! So delicious! Definitely got our money's worth.

We are on the search for a decent slice of pizza in Cookeville. We spent over $40 for 2 pizzas and their disgusting excuse of cobbler. This place serves pizza on par with frozen tombstone pizza. The crust is identical to the look and taste of the cheap cracker quality you get from tombstone pizza. Attached is a picture of tombstone pizza next to their pizza and you can see for yourself, it looks like it could have came from the same product. This is not fresh quality pizza and should not have the audacity to charge so much for this crap. On to the next pizza place since we will definitely not be eating here again.

I recently attended the Baxter Labor Day festival this weekend and spotted this little establishment that was facing the railroad tracks. During the festival, they were selling shirts, pizza by the slice and handing out special event tickets for a pepperoni pizza for $10. So my mother and two toddlers decided to try it out. Right off the bat, we were greeted with smiling faces! These were faces of locals who were excited about being at work and who enjoyed what they did. That made us feel so comfortable immediately. We were seated right away and we ordered the pizza special when we sat down. Our drinks were served promptly and courteously. And I got a sneak peek at the dough being rolled out. The pizza came out nicely and very hot. Paper plates were given out. I'm not sure if that was just a special event idea, but it worked for us. No complaints from here. It was a very good experience. PROS: customer service, hand rolled dough, flavor, Blue Bunny cones $1 CONS: basic toppings (no specialty toppings)

Overly priced, not good quality and lacking taste sadly since there isn't much in Baxter :(

The food has always been good. Not a fancy restaurant but the food is good. The service can be slow is the only issue I've had.

Our order was taken and we watched as a female employee did to go/mobile orders while they have in store customers standing right in front of them. We waited a solid 12 minutes for ours while they made the other orders first of those not even in store. The girl making the orders didn't not even speak or look up at us. Atmosphere feels outdated and vintage; not my cup of tea really.. The offerings are nice: sandwiches, drinks of various type & ice cream. The ice cream was a mid-basic rolled ice cream. Had your toppings and drizzle and that was about it. Nothing elaborate for 2 rolled ice creams at $17(pricey for that honestly). Very hard & could barely get a bite with my spoon. It's okay... 3/5 stars.

Service was fine, nice. The 3 stars is for the inside/ambiance. There was no music or any sounds besides us whispering. Felt like we weren't supposed to be there. But even more than that... there's a yellow sofa in the corner that is really gross. Like, dirty, had an odor... we took our order to go bc of it. It was really off putting. Maybe the music was an off thing but the whole sofa corner, supposed to be inviting and cozy, was gross.

Whether it's wanting to take a break from the large platters we have in the morning usually on these trips are just genuinely craving something sweet, most donut shops are just okay. Ralphs was a genuine find. Not only was the glazed exactly like in an old-fashioned--the sourdough taste and such good nook and crannies texture-wise--but that maple bar was probably the best one I've ever eaten. The donut was soft and pillowy with a good chew to it. But that maple topping was like the perfect texture; it was runny but still had real heft to it. It was like someone put pure molten maple on top and if you shook it too hard like a wet dog it would all just go flying. Every bite I wish I could repeat because it was a donut that seemed to go by too fast. The counter person couldn't have been more friendly. She was like tidal wave of warmth and kindness to us. I wish all folks who worked morning shifts could be this nice. The ambiance was good. It was a little tiny with the counter space. But the fact it is a donut shop and not a restaurant makes the fact they could pack in twenty or so seats at all amazing. And of course they'd be packed with customers sitting shoulder-to-shoulder. If I lived close to a donut shop like this , I'd want to come every morning for my donuts and coffee. I'd definitely get fat here. Overall, this is my ideal donut shop. There's a reason we made the 60 mile drive here for a few donuts and milk, and then drove 60 miles back to the hotel. There are just some donut joints that are worth a 120-mile donut run.

First of all, I'm not sure if it's because I'm used to Boston prices, but the donuts were super cheap. Guilt-free spending... but lots of calories hehe. If you're here, it's worth trying a bunch! The vibes of the shop were awesome - super old school. You just order at the counter, so it's pretty low touch in terms of service, but the staff seemed super kind. I don't think I'll be back in the area, but I'd totally go back if so!
