Good Italian food, good service, fair pricing, great specials. The best choice for Italian in the area.

Our 19-year Anniversary dinner started out well. We had a fabulous waitstaff (Andrew) who fixed our…read morerocking unstable table. We opened a beautiful aromatic Montepulciano red wine and had a deliciously crisp and perfectly cooked and chilled shrimp cocktail. From there it kind of went downhill. We both ordered a replacement of the house salad with a Caesar salad and it was a $6 up charge.... Which would be ok if it was decidedly different in size or components - but if you look at the picture you see how incredibly tiny this salad was. For the record, we asked for lightly dressed and it was perfect. But worth a $6 up charge? I think not. I ordered the petite portion of the chicken piccata ($17) vs a full portion ($21) and I was definitely ripped off... again look at the pics. Additionally, while the chicken and pasta were perfectly cooked, the seasoning was definitely NOT Italian and NOT piccata but had a weird flavor profile closer to SW USA - not what I expected. My husband ordered the ribeye Medium rare and it came out rare and COLD. He sent it back and it came back lukewarm and grisly. It appeared it was microwaved instead of hitting the skillet. We wanted to dine together so he struggled through it. We've eaten here twice before and were appalled by what we were served this time. We asked to speak with the chef and were told the service manager would come - which she did. But we requested the chef. Jaime came out to speak with us and listened to our input. We SO appreciate him listening. He let us know the ribeye had not been microwaved but hit the grill again. He admitted their piccata is not traditionally seasoned (no lemon flavor). Hopefully they either change the menu or make it more traditional. Chelsea the service manager came out again and comped our meal (which was not necessary because we understand there are profit margins) the owners must manage). As one of the local fine dining establishments, if the owners want to keep that space, they need to make sure they offer value and quality to their customers. Last note - if establishment is going to upcharge for size or substitution, it should reflect the upcharge value. We are grateful for the discussion, the comp, and the willingness to hear what a foodie likes to see. We will give you another shot, and look forward to the opportunity to update this to a five star review instead of two stars

Our party of six couldn't have asked for a better evening. I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Thank you for making a celebration like this possible for someone who usually has to sit those experiences out. We'll absolutely be back!! This place was one for the books !! :,)

I had dinner at Ferraro's over Memorial Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is…read moresmall but it has a nice modern, upscale atmosphere; due to the size I'd recommend a reservation on weekend nights. Service was very good and our waiter kept us well attended. The starter of Italian bread and olive oil was fresh and very welcomed as we'd had a light lunch. Perusing the menu, the tagliatelle with wild boar sounded tempting, but when I heard the night's special of cavatelli bolognese I had to try it (the waiter added his approval). It was excellent, with the pasta cooked al dente and a nice, flavorful bolognese sauce; the portion was just right. My wife wasn't terribly hungry so she had a salad as an entree and really enjoyed it. She also tried the espresso martini and it was good though not memorable. Many of the menu prices were closer to what you'd find in a larger city but so was the quality of the food and experience. We will definitely have Ferraro's on our short list of restaurants for our next visit to Blue Ridge...definitely recommended.

We wanted Italian. And this looked like the place to go with all five star reviews…read more First the parking. There is a lot of free parking in the adjacent Stadium Park Plaza garage. It's a bit confusing to find the restaurant though from there, as there is no access from the first floor. But from the 2nd and 3rd floor there is access using the elevator. The bulb in the elevator area needs to be replaced because it's burned out, and all dark like a scene from a horror movie. The restaurant faces the ballpark stadium Inside the restaurant there weren't many customers on a weekday for dinner. It was our waitresses second day and she messed up quite a lot. Like the bill/check had us all ordering drinks and extra meat with our pasta, but we didn't do any of that. But she was nice about it all, and even comp'd us a $5 beer which I pointed out to her that she didn't add to the bill yet (that being the one and only omission in the midst of all the wrong add-ons). The fried calamari appetizer was good. Only the rings. No arms. The pomodoro sauce was nice. But overall it was just an average dish and much better at other places. The New York strip was good. But they didn't have asparagus. That would be ok if not for the fact that they only have 3 sides to choose from: roasted potatoes, rice, and asparagus. So it was either double potatoes or the rice. So we got the rice. And it was super boring, and tasted overcooked and chewy. The steak and potatoes were good though. The kid's Alfredo was good too. But the carbonara was kinda bland. The waitress and said it was a white sauce but upon checking it was butter sauce she told us. But it was really not worth it. The complimentary bread they served with the meal tasted like pretzel bread. Kinda hard and chewy. But hot. It was good. It comes with olive oil for dipping. Over $100 for 3 people. It was kinda steep. And add to that a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Well that really was like salt in the wound. Is all of bowling green like that with credit surcharges? Sure hope not.

Our waitress DaShonda made what might have been a three star experience easily a four star. The menu warns that the Chicago style can take 45-75 minutes so we were quick to order it before appetizers. The food was tasty. Ordering two pizza styles is a challenge and our Margherita NY style originally came out over cooked. (Probably waiting on our other pizza to finish). DaShonda was apologetic and was quick to make the situation right. When a new pizza came out it was fantastic. I would return it back in the area.

Its important to note that the place was not even half full at 1pm on a Sunday. The service was extremely slow and we had to ask for everything- refills on our waters, silverware, salt and pepper, ketchup, etc. Four of us had meals that came with french fries and when we asked for ketchup- we were brought one single serve cup of ketchup, and by the time they brought us more, we were almost done eating. I can't speak for the rest of my party, but my burger was almost inedible. It was like a hockey puck- overcooked, dry, and tasteless. I didn't even finish it and I'm a fatass that always cleans his plate. One thing I had in the past that we enjoyed was the Limoncello cake- so we decided to get two slices for the table to share. It took quite a while to get the cake to the table and we understood why when we cut into it. It was almost completely frozen in the middle. We mentioned this to the server and he apologized as he handed us the bill. I felt he could've at least removed the cake from the tab. This place tries to give off some type of fancy or trendy vibe and they are not even close. There are several other places within walking distance that are MUCH BETTER. I will never come back here- at least not until they get some of the basics down like food and service.
