Love this place! A hidden gem that is off the beaten path....but well worth the trip. Have never had a bad item from the menu.....but our favorite (by far) is the Perch Fish Fry with potato pancakes. Oh i wanted to like this place. My daughter and I were up from Milwaukee and recommended this place. We went ordered a drink and were instructed to go outside. The bartender poured my wine from a Bota box and handed it to me along with a menu and silverware. The sun was hot so we put up the umbrella on the table. Within minutes two women came over and said they had to take the umbrella. When I asked why, one said "I'm not sure how to say it." The other who seemed to be her senior swiftly came over and began taking the umbrella. I asked again. She said she just needed to. I said is it the wind? (There was little to no wind.) They chatter amongst each other and wouldn't answer. I asked again. Finally one of them said something about how the wind can tip over tables. I said that's weird - I've never seen that happen before- and again, THERE WAS NO WIND. The tables were super heavy and the umbrellas anchored. She became combative and said "Rrally? is this your first time sitting outside by a lake?" I live on a lake. I often frequent places on Lake Michigan. With much stronger winds. She was rude and dismissive and we had no protection of the sun. When the other servers came out they were upset. "Why did they take down the umbrellas again?" The hostess is a heartless creature. She was stressed out due to the crowd, and took it all out on those that were providing her with the very opportunity to earn her living. We waited twice as long as they told us the wait would be (no problem . . . they WERE hopping!), but when our number came up they tried to put one of us at the bubble and the other one at the bar (45° angle from each other). When my wife asked about getting either a table or at the very least two seats where we could sit next to each other to talk, the hostess scoffed and said "these are next up". We decided to head over to the Lake Street Inn (which was EXCELLENT!) and as we were leaving the hostess said "cya guys!" (For the record, my wife "self identifies" as a girl). It's just a shame they made us wait 45 minutes to be offered a place to eat where we wouldn't (and couldn't) even be able to converse during the meal. Just not cool, people. read more

I've been coming to this place for the last two years as this is the only good spot in Hartford for dining. There are a ton of options for food, but it is mainly all bar food like nachos, burgers and sandwiches. My favorite was the jalapeno burger, and I also enjoy their nachos. In the summer time I love to dine on the patio in the back since it's overlooking the lake! With a plate of fish tacos- a super popular item- or a fish fry on Friday with delicious potato pancakes, life feels good. My sister also loves their chicken ranch and chicken Caesar wraps! The prices are okay for what you get. I think it could be lowered a bit, but overall it's a decent price. read more

This is my favorite bar and restaurant in the area. We live on the lake and it is great to be able to drive our boat to their pier. The owners and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I am a bit of a fish fry aficionado, and theirs is really good - be sure to order it with the potato pancakes because it is the best part. I have tried nearly everything on the menu, and the only thing that has been disappointing is the nachos, which were just okay - they reminded me of the ones I make myself at home on a cookie sheet. They have a good variety of craft beers on tap, and usually have some interesting craft cocktails on the specials board. I recommend the Brown Sugar Bourbon Old Fashioned. Also, they serve their mixed drinks in pint glasses, and what's not to love about a 16-ounce cocktail! I noticed that there are some old negative reviews on here. New owners took over in the Fall of 2019, so as a reader I would disregard any reviews that were older than that. read more

Living in Hustisford, there aren't too many options for food, so we come often to Sinissippi Lake Pub. But that being said, when it comes to choosing a place even outside town... Sinissippi delivers on quality! For my money, they have the best burger in Dodge County, excellent bone-in wings, and if you want something a little different, try the fish tacos. Also, don't sleep on their Sunday morning brunch specials! Service is always polite, but it is true if things are busy it tends to slow down. This is my first time being here and at the beginning the food looked good, people seemed nice including my server. Then we were sitting, waiting for at least an hour to get our food. We noticed once we got our food and ate one half of the Ruben when we noticed mold on the bread. We decided to let the server know when we saw it and we tried not to make it a big deal at all! The server then went to go grab her boss when the boss proceeded to come over to the table and try and tell us this mold was a "seed" when the mold was clearly green and not a seed. This lady was in our faces yelling at us this was not mold, and trying to convince us that this was a seed while yelling in our face that we were not convinced. She ripped the mold off the bread and went outside and still tried to tell us this was not mold. She did not even offer to give us this for free or take it off the bill at all, she offered to get us a new Ruben after we have already waited an hour for the first one, but in the rudest way possible. She never once apologized! I have never seen someone talk to their customers like this let alone a boss of a restaurant. read more

We have gone time and time again only to be frustrated and disappointed at the time it takes for a server to even come to take a drink order. It's a tad small/cluttered, but that's kind of out their hands so no big deal. I gave it four stars because we ate on the back deck twice and it was pretty dirty with food/spilled drinks on the ground and tables, which attracted a lot of bees. First time visit for me although my wife has been here several times with friends. The place is very clean. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. We asked them to add the coleslaw that came with it when ordered as a wrap. Our waitress was very friendly and took good care of us even with a packed house. Only small complaint is the bud light sign is really bright and if seated looking at it can make you feel a bit like you're on stage. We are a divided house when it comes to enjoying the Sinissippi Lake Pub. My husband loves it and I dread when he wants to order it. First of all, they never answer their phone. If he is ordering take out from the Pub, we have to plan an hour in advance because it's an average of 15 minutes before he can get someone to pick up the phone. Other times, he's gone down to sit at the bar and order his take out food, which just defeats the purpose. As I've mentioned in a different review, I'm basic in that I like a cheeseburger, well done. The Pub cannot cook a well done burger if their jobs depended on it. They have a knack for charring the outside, but that doesn't mean the inside is cooked. I'm always disappointed when I order a burger from there, so I've actually stopped. If we're ordering the Pub, I'll now get fries and eat some mozz sticks. Those are the only positive things about the place at this point. But I'll say it again, my husband LOVES the Pub and LOVES their food, so they just need to figure out how to nail the basics and maybe I'll come around. read more
