I love Tyranena Brewing Company! My pups are welcome here. Great outdoor seating during Covid with live music, great beer and ambiance galore!

1st time visiting this brewery. What an amazing place! Very clean was one of the first things I noticed. I had a wonderful conversation with the bartender about the place in-between her being extremely busy... I wanted to personally thank her for showing up to work this day... it was a Tuesday evening and the place was Rocking. It was nice to see... Entire patio was filled with people smiling having a great time, a food truck was serving up some amazing jerk chicken and carribean spiced shrimp tacos(5 out of 5 stars), music playing, and beers were flowing in and out of the place. Several people were showing up just to pick up to-go beers. I was truly impressed as I watched this amazing bartender put her head down and worked extremely hard as she was all by herself. The entire time keeping a great attitude towards all her patrons. I order several different flights so I got an opportunity to try each beer they had on tap. All of them were tasty. Great options to choose from and prices were fair. You have the ability to buy all the beers to-go or fill your growlers. I believe most their beers are sold in 4 packs. I'm already looking forward to the next time I can visit. Cheers

This is a nice little brewery. I was up there over the weekend to get tickets for The Great Taste of the Midwest. The brewery ran the entire event in a nice and orderly fashion. as far as I could tell, nothing went wrong for the participants. As for the brewery itself. The tasting room is tiny. A bar, and a half dozen small tables. Which is fine if it isn't busy, but if they are, then it can get cramped. Fortunately for us, the weather was nice for the most part and we were able to sit outside on the patio where there is more room. There is no food served here other than pretzels with mustard. They do have a propane grill on the patio that you can bring your own meat to cook on, so that's nice. Their beer is pretty good. Nothing that really impressed me to the point that I would travel the hour or so distance just to get, but if I was in the neighborhood, I'd definitely stop in for one. I'm not a hop head, but their Scurvy and the Rocky's Revenge were my favorites. Service was good while I was there, both Saturday night and Sunday morning. I never had to wait long for a beer and they even let me get behind the bar to snap a picture of one of their tapper handles.

Are you... (a) road tripping through WI and in need of a beer? (b) a fan of Rocky's Revenge Bourbon Brown Ale? (c) a lover of imperial varieties? (d) one who enjoys munching on free pretzels? (e) someone who enjoys friendly bartenders? (f) looking for a growler or a howler to take away? Then Tyranena is the right brewery for you! We stopped in on a sleepy Sunday afternoon. Our bartender allowed us to sample whatever we pleased so that we would walk out with the right howler selection to take home to IN. After sips of the S'mores Imperial Porter (yum), Wrath of Rocky (yum), and the Imperial IPA w/ Blood Orange (YUM), we ended up walking out with two of them. Our friends back home approved of our choices too. Perhaps we'll be back up for the half marathon in the fall!

I'm thirsty... Can I have some?

We are enjoying a laid back vacation this year. Visiting from St. Peters, MO. Perfect weather! Great beer! Good service! You can bring your own food or have it delivered. They welcome dogs. This was Brick the Puppy Dog's very first public outing. He also gives Tyranena- two paws up!

Great place to have a beer on the patio a good distance away from all those over courageous beer drinkers

This is one of our favorite local places. Not only did this brewery feature very good craft beer (use to be micro-brewed), it has music on the weekends. If the weather is cooperative during the summer months the bands will be in the new expanded beer garden. They invite local food vendors out to sell food or you can bring your own. Kids and dogs are welcomed on the lawn as long as both are friendly. Check their website to see what seasonal flavor is on tap, what band will be playing, and which food vendor will be selling food.

I visit craft breweries as a hobby (at least I tell myself that). I visited Tyranena Brewing Company today in the midst of a crawl visiting several neighboring breweries. Tyranena's taproom very much appeared like a more traditional bar but probably much much cleaner. They designated a specific spot at the bar for orders and I got a flight of 4 for $12.50. I picked two heavier stouts, a sour and a cream ale. I tried seasonal offerings or ones I couldn't just pick up in bottles at the local grocery store. Tyranena has a strong presence in the WI market and several of their brews are staples in the area. Despite looking like a bar, it had a nice outside porch area. There were children present and one dog who enjoyed being the center of attention laying on her back. The Wi-Fi was accessible without a password and the signal was strong. I appreciated the service from the staff who also provided me with brewery bottle labels in lieu of having logo stickers. Nice place with what appeared to be full of local loyal patrons.

Urinal count: one. Seriously? Otherwise, I love this place: best summertime grassy knoll for live music ever.

Can you cater food in for a class reunion? 10/1/22

Karen, thanks for asking! Yes, we currently allow food to be carried in to our Owen Street facility, however, we do not allow carry-in beverages of any kind. Please email info@tyranena.com if you are planning a class reunion at the brewery for this…

To say that I am a fan is putting it mildly, but being born and raised in Lake Mills I better support my hometown Brewery.

Stopped in on a recent Saturday for lunch. It was relatively quiet so bellied up to the bar…read more Sauer's is pretty spacious inside with the requisite gaming machines along the wall. My server/bartender was attentive and very welcoming. A solid selection of taps, cans/bottles and your standard offering of booze. They do have a menu of different old fashioneds for those inclined. Their menu is your standard pub options-appetizers, pizza, wings, burgers, sandwiches, and fish on Fridays. I opted for one of their daily specials-steak sandwich. I opted for the upgrade for the side of fries that came with and selected the pickle chips. I am glad I did as they are some of the best I have tasted in quite sometime. Thinly sliced, they were perfectly fried with a thin batter that didn't hide the flavor of the pickle. The sandwich also hit the mark-tender steak nestled between a ciabatta bun. It was great. Highly recommend checking out Sauer's-a solid pub with some great food.

My spouse ordered the grilled cheese, which said on the menu it came with a choice of two cheeses. When he said which two cheeses he wanted, the waitress said that would be an extra charge. When he pointed to the menu, she said "she'd have to check". She never came back to tell us if he got two cheeses or not. We weren't given any utensils, so I had to get up and get my own from the hostess station. My burger had a very strong taste of livestock and barnyard. I also ordered an ice water which was almost undrinkable. At least invest in a faucet filter, guys. The homemade chips with garlic cream cheese were very good, though. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought our check, but then came and took it away from us because she forgot to add the beer my spouse ordered because their water had such a bad taste. Since she had already dropped the ball so many times, this could have been an opportunity to extend a gesture of good will and give it to him on the house, but alas. In addition, they have kind of a snotty little sign in the entrance demanding you wipe your feet as if you're a child, and they proudly display that they do not offer any service for their ample patio seating. Just not a great experience.
