I have absolutely no idea what people are talking about and rating this place 1 Star!!! This is definitely not a one star experience!! There were only two things from some of the 1 Star reviews that I agree with. They need more monsters. Especially in the open, common areas and in a few of the mazes. Also, two of the very small mazes were duds, but the regular mazes (Phobias, Evil on Two were great! Especially phobias. Not to mention how much fun the dark ride was! My husband got scared quite a few times, which cracked the rest of us up. Sinister Pointe brought some of their elements from years before which were fun and very interactive. It's clear they spent a lot of money creating everything inside the building. We were amazed at some of the details and props, especially in the dark ride. Some of the vendors in the building had some unique, great merchandise and we left with treasures. We loved how many of the "cast" interacted with us. Some were scary, some were hilarious and it added to the fun. Even though we were lucky enough to get a coupon, it was worth every cent! We spent 5 times more money at Warner Brothers Halloween Made Here event and this was a better value for the money. I hope Sinister Pointe comes back next year even bigger and better. read more

It was pretty fun they make the space seem larger than it is. There's one part of the house that has really narrow hallways that stimulates a bit of claustrophobia though. There's 4 different paths but we ended up going through 2 of the 4 with one run through. read more

Complete and total waste of money. We've been to past sinister pointes at other locations and have been happy with the experience. This was not at all the same. Mazes are NOT scary at all. Almost no actors walking around. For 40+ dollars per person highly do not recommend. Spend the extra money and go to Knotts. read more

I have been to every maze that sinister pointe has made including the Christmas mazes. I was so disappointed. Never once was I scared. The best part was taking the pictures. Not many actors scaring you. And they weren't very creative in hiding. The only reason that I gave them 3 stars but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because I know that they were having trouble with city in building what they wanted. Which is why this year it was in a different city. Maybe they ran out of time in building an awesome maze. Their best ones have been the first year and beyond the mirror. So I will try it one more time. read more

Had a blast, my favorite attraction was the Phobias part. It really is about trying to face your fears and it was really hard and creepy. Obviously coming to an attraction like this that's what you want. Evil on 2 maze was freaking awesome, you can tell the actors really know what they're doing and I was super creeped out and am embarrassed to say.. scared. The train ride was really cool and it's awesome that they take just you and your group so it's intimate. The place is well managed, clean, and most importantly, scary! Can't wait to come again next year! read more

As I'm standing outside the exit and watching everyone come out of the maze with smiles and screaming is the best! The guys put their blood, sweat and tears into this and it makes me happy that most everyone really enjoys the experience! This by far is my favorite haunted attraction in Southern California . The concepts, the details that are put into the mazes and scream zones are amazing. I loved the magic act. Sinister Pointe Haunted House is a great place to go to. They were very organized and the workers were very nice and Spooooky. The event had food trucks, merchandise to purchase, music a magic show and plenty of parking. They also had photos to purchase and hook ups for great selfies. This was quite a hike for us, but glad we attended. LOTS of space and all indoors, which was nice. The attraction currently is taking up 3 floors and over 150,000 sq ft of an old Macy's. The top floor hosts a ride, which is an old mine cart and was pretty neat. Something different. Not super scary, but did have scareactors and animatronics. Nicely done. 1st floor had a PHOBIAS maze....this was my favorite. It was very interactive and I enjoyed all of the rooms very much. EVIL ON 2nd was a bit of a let down for me. It has potential to be so much better---as it is a cool concept of a hotel and going through it (there is LOTS of space for it), but when we went through there was a lack of scareactors. I would say 75% of the rooms were empty, so that was a bummer. If all the rooms would have been full-it would have been amazing. There was also an extra TRICKER BLACK OUT MAZE. Super fun and well worth the extra $1 to go through. They also had live entertainment, food, and lots of shops!! Worth checking out and I will for sure return!! read more

I've been going to Sinister Pointe attractions for a couple of years now and they continue to outdo themselves. The mazes have wonderful stories that you can follow. You can really tell that they've paid attention to all of the details. They have taken on a huge undertaking with this 3 level experience and absolutely delivered. I have had a fantastic time doing all of their events, including The Dead, and Clowns. We benefited from doing two missions in one night so the first game helped us get oriented and prepare for round 2! The Hunt for the Krampus was a super fun scavenger hunt that kept us awake and busy late into the night and it was just fantastic. I also loved their movie night painting events! I have be going to Sinister Pointe for years and have always walked away amazed. However, this year was VERY disappointing. They charged us $26 apiece for entry and it was nothing more than a maze of plywood. No decorations or props and just a handful of people dressed in costumes. It reminded me of the haunted house we made as kids. I think kids these days could actually do a better job. I would save your money, Definitely not worth it. We drove 5 hours to go to this "super scarey" maze with friends. Bought 2 tickets for the whopping total of 96$ for an all night front of the line pass. The mazes that we actually got to go through were basically black walls with a total of 5 employees jumping out to scare you. We were crammed in with 10 other people in the sweltering heat(the maze is made for maximum 4) and basically left to guide ourselves. There were a total of 4 rooms that were different for each maze the rest was the same black walls you walked through the first time. I memorized it the first time through even those 5 employees were in the same spots, I don't know if the real monsters were on break or what! The majority of the time we spent in line which was also ridiculous considering we paid extra to be before everyone else, and guess what I talked to the owner about this and he said 75 other people paid that much too, and it's not his fault all 75 were there at the same time! He didn't have much of an excuse when we told him that our friend received the tickets to this event after the last event seance sucked, and this event sucks even worse! So they're ripping people off because it isn't humanly possible or safe to shove that many people in a maze at once, if you could even call it a maze as monotonous as it was. If someone invites you to go to Sinister Pointe for Halloween point blank tell them NO! WASTE OF TIME WASTE OF MONEY! read more

My friends and I went for the first time to this place and we hated it. We left so upset due to the fact that we spent almost $30 on an 8 minute maze that was not even scary. Before we knew it the maze had already ended and our night was ruined at only 8:30PM. Two weeks have passed by and we still want our money back. read more

I've been visiting Sinister Pointe for a few years now. The thing that I really love about this year-round scare experience is their out of the box thinking when it comes to the attractions. It would be very easy for them to just put on a themed maze every couple of months and be done with it. But they don't go that route. They have had lots of innovative ideas throughout the years. Things like haunted scavenger hunts, interactive mazes, Christmas themed attractions, team activities in the dark, and even a Seance. Now I would argue that not all of these ideas hit, but that's not really the point. They aren't afraid to be different, and that is much appreciated in a day and age where things like Knotts Scary Farm and Universal Halloween Horror Nights have become largely predictable. Not to mention that the people behind Sinister Pointe are really friendly and welcoming. I have made it my goal to try all of their attractions this year. I have already done their Seance attraction which was in April, and can't wait to see what they come up with next. Cheers to SP, I hope they are around for many years to come. read more

I went to their Bloody Mary maze a couple of years ago and I was really impressed. A lot of thought and creativity was on display. So I was looking forward to going back this year and seeing what they came up with. Additionally I was anticipating seeing four different mazes, because their web site stated there were different options based on which gatekeeper you chose to follow. I bought the all-night passes for my wife and myself, so we could go through four different times and see everything that was different. We arrived to find a massive line, because they oversold the whole thing. I asked the attendant how long we should expect to wait and he said it would take about 30 minutes to get through the line. Well, an hour later we are finally going through. He also said the lines get shorter as the night goes on, but the line kept getting longer as the night progressed. After waiting for an hour, we went into what I would call the most boring and uncreative piece of crap I ever paid money for. BORING! And to make it even worse, these four different mazes do not exist. We were told to go through a specific door based on what gatekeeper we were assigned, but when we went through the door, there were the others from the other doors, right there on the other side, walking into the same room. There was no different maze for anyone. And the whole thing was so predictable. No flow to it, no organization, people ended up getting bunched up into groups of 8-10 people, because they did not control the flow. So you are walking along seeing other people get jumped by the monsters, and you are in the back of the group doing nothing. I did not see anything interesting at all. Just moving from one room to the next with another guy waiting in the corner to scream at you. This place shit the bed. I wish everyone could save their time and money and just stay away. They obviously put all of their time into marketing this thing, but no time into actually making a good event. Maybe they threw this whole thing together in about 2 days. Oh, and as for the all night pass... when we exited this lame event, the line was twice as long and the same attendant said it should take about 30-45 minutes to get through the line. What a total ripoff. We left, because we had already seen every stupid thing in there with one time around, and we did not want to waste another 90 minutes to get bored all over again. read more

It was really exciting but it was annoying that I had i bought the all night and the fast pass ticket, but there was no point in paying extra money to wait in line with the all night people who didn't have the fast pass, I was annoyed with that. We went on the first day and the prices on the things weren't set. We went on the first night but it seemed kind of unorganized with the lines and selling the photos and t shirts. Then they said they only had Large t shirts, so no mediums or small... but overall the actors and the maze was pretty fun. They just need to work on the lines, organizing things better, and giving people what they paid for. read more

Very, very disappointing. Like many of the other reviews, it had the appearance of a low budget production, with the exception of very expensive prices. We paid for an all night plus SCREAM pass to avoid the lines. Interestingly, the representation "without waiting in long lines!" did not hold up this year because we spent close to $95.00 on two tickets only to stand in long lines when it wasn't that busy. As a result, we ended up only going through 3 realms because we were tired of waiting in lines after close to 2 hours. I have been to this haunted house before in Brea and could only say good things about it. This year was absolutely terrible. The 4 different realms was a flop. There was only a small portion in each realm that was new and then you had to go through the same mazes throughout most of it. There was no focus in the maze and no real scary excitement. We had to go through a large room with what appeared to be wood ramps in the middle but there was no purpose to the room- it was boring and a waste of really good space. We went to the 17th door which we found way over the top, so we were excited to go to Sinister Pointe and be truly scared. It just didn't happen this year. I hope they regroup, focus on one really good haunted adventure and get back to the basics next year. read more

When sinister pointe had a year round location it was amazing! The new location just doesnt live up to my expectations. The attraction has been reduced to little more than a plywood maze. Tormentum was probably the best path of the 4. I will say all the actors were excellent and kept it entertaining. read more

the scarers were really good at scaring my friends and i. they kept characters at all times and they were really nice. they did a great job at scaring us and making us laugh. the mazes were amazing, super scary and fun! i loved the ride on the 3rd floor, and the workers managing the ride were really funny. the scarers inside the mazes were really good at scaring and the scarers walking around were also really good at scaring. it really is worth going, i went twice but i would have definitely done more. everyone there was super talented, thank you for the amazing experience!! 10/10 recommend going there for a good scare. also, his name is waffles, not blueberry pancakes. and hello to keys, papa, spit, and dolly. read more
