    My tour guide

17th Door haunt is not your ordinary scary walk thru. It's an adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, breath stealing series of increasingly intense scenes/encounters designed to shock (literally!) and scare you. What other haunts shake you violently, fires rubber bullets at you, pulls a silicone sheet over your face, walks you thru a high powered wind tunnel and runs an electrical shock thru your body? if you plan to go READ THE WAIVER! I wasn't scared (too many REAL things to be scared of) by anything but I had a great time. I thought the scares were original and designed to trigger primal fears. The design and engineering of this whole place is genius! Take the behind the scene tour if you can. When you've done all the other haunts, go to the 17th Door and hold on to your butts!

As a loyal patron of 17th door since 2016 this year was a complete let down. Absolutely no creativity and exactly the same as the previous two years since they removed the water boarding. If you attended 2023 or 2024 expect the same scenarios. Kind of silly to also increase the prices throughout the years for the same experience. Hopefully they will bring something new for 2026.

Sunday funday turned into the idea of being tortured. After watching season 1 of how they built this from the ground up on YouTube, I wanted to keep it with just watching on the tv and didn't have the courage to experience it in person. From one that is a scare actor and haunted house created I knew the time had come to see what this was about. Convinced the fam bam to come and they all blamed me that we're all gonna die on a sunday but it turned out to be the most fun and phenomenal experience yet! I even lost my eye glasses in one of the doors lol but they were able to locate them but I wouldn't haven even cared if they were gone cause the tunnel made it all worth it. Great job Heather and Robby for this haunted creation!

As someone who's been here 12 times (5 times last year, 7 times this year so far and plan to go again!) This is the BEST haunted house in the SoCal area! I'm an October baby, so I chose to spend my birthdays here. Last year, and this year! The pics with me in the birthday ears are from this year I enjoy haunted houses such as the 17th doors, that push the limits! Love this place, love how intense it is, definitely not for the weak! I would recommend to anyone to try out this haunted house, you won't regret it! Why do you think I keep coming back over and over IT'S SO WORTH IT

2023 was different. New Location in Buena Park and a little tricky to find. Use the "YELPFOR17" for the biggest percentage off. I did the Field Trip, you can use code "First" for $6 dollars off on certain days or Yelp for 10% "yelpfor17." They will not stack. It is near the Asia Buffet side of the Mall. Park on that side or you will have to walk all the way around to get to your car if you park on the Walmart Side since they close the mall. My group was extremely excited as 7/8 were regulars and 1/8 was a first time prisoner. While it wasn't as torturous as people in my group mentioned, it was fun. Be prepared to run. They did modify the doors to be less of a liability :( Definitely didn't have the mind bending (how did they get away with this) doors that made 17th Door Famous minus the room that spins and the Bible. ** Spoiler Alert ** They ended the furries and watered it down from 2022 and 2021. ** No more WATER **

Ask the Community - The 17th Door Haunt Experience

I have a 12 year old that's interested and excited to go -- with me and her brother of course. Is she allowed to attend? She been going to mazes since she was very young and loves them.

Hello! Yes, she is allowed to attend with parent permission. Parent will also need to sign her waiver. We love that you have a brave soul! Thank you for asking.

    How much are the tickets?

Hello, Ticket prices vary depending on the night and ticket type. General admission starts at $35. You can find all prices on our website: www.the17thdoor.com/tickets. We are… Read more

I walk with a cane due to multiple Sclerosis and it is necessary for me so that I don't lose my balance in unfamiliar places. Will it be safe for me to go to 17 doors?

Hello, we can offer a guide to walk through the experience with you to help you navigate the rooms. There are definitely some physical rooms and lots of moving parts so I recommend walking through with our guide or using a wheelchair with the guide.… Read more

Does the VIP Maze Entry and Backstage Tour take you through the 17 doors or is that a whole other purchase I have to do because I bought the 100$ ticket thinking it was everything combined?

Yes! You will experience the maze (all 17 rooms) first, and then you will go through the Backstage Tour! See you soon!

    Is there drinks and food?

There are not, but it's located at the Buena Park Mall and very close to the food court area.

Looking to come with a small group on the weekdays when it's discounted. Are there less actors, or any noticeable changes to the experience during the week vs. weekends other than wait time?

    No, same amount of actors!

Can you buy tickets at the door? I'm trying to come today 9/17 however I'm not able to buy online?

    Yes! But we open 9/22!

Do the participants have to be over 18 ? And is this only open during Halloween?

Participants may be under 18 as long as their parent signs their waiver. Yes, we are open for the Halloween season Sept-Oct. Thanks!

When you get to the gas chamber thing, is the suction vacuum thing they put to your face cleaned. Or is everyone's mouth touching that?

Yes, attached to the holster of the vacuum there is a cleaning mechanism with uv light that disinfects the masks. They are sanitary.

Is it possible to push up against the airbag in the last room to breathe?

If you're strong enough- yes. Otherwise, can you hold your breath for 5 seconds?

Can I go even if I have an arm cast?

idk if they will let you in, but if you don't want to get it wet.. there are two rooms involving water.

Can someone with forearm tendinitis on both arms be safe to do the haunt?? And can 9 of us be in a group?

8 Max I woulda call and see it's some doors that drops you

Should I wear glasses or contacts?

The decision is totally yours! Yes, you will get wet.

I have one group ticket for tonight. I forgot to include the mercy pendants. Can I purchase this tonight?

    Yes you can. :)

I have a group of 5 coming in later today... 2 of them are minors and their parents will not be able to sign the waivers on-site. Are the minors able to print out the waivers at home and have their parent sign it at home then bring a photocopied ID?

Yes! Each minor must have their own parents sign their waiver. If the parent is not present, they will need to attach a photo copy of their ID to the waiver they sign.

Do i need to print my tickets?

I would advise doing so, yes. Mostly because I would not recommend going through with your phone in your pocket.

Taking a group of 13 yr olds - can all the parents sign the waivers prior and can they go in alone? I DO NOT want to go in. Knotts Scary Farm back in the day was enough for me. #ImPassingTheTorch

Hello, Any guest under the age of 18 must have their waiver signed by their own parent or legal guardian. If the parent will not be present, they must also attach a photocopy of their ID to the minor's signed waiver.

Can a my 14 year old go?

Check the website to be sure but I think yes, but the parent has to sign the waiver for them.

I do not have any kind of ID will this be an issue getting into the event?

    They don't ask for ID

Me and sum friends are 15 and 2 of them are 16 and were carpooling together with one of our parents. do we all need to have the waiver signed up front with a parent or can we sign it and print it out at home and bring it?

Didn't know zombies stayed that minty fresh. Non-likes: - Bad traffic regulation. The staff weren't monitoring the car line that extends through the Lincoln Ave-Brookhurt St intersection. I was waiting at the intersection on Brookhurst St's north side at the red light waiting to turn right, when a certain car from the south side of Brookhurst St turned left and cut right in front of me, thereby blocking the intersection. What they were supposed to do is go straight through the intersection and then make a U-ey and get in line properly like the rest of us. - The vacuums were non-operational that evening. Wish they had mentioned this in advance. The eventbrite tickets didn't mention this. - The rear windshield of my car was still very dirty after the wash.

And I just LOVE the idea of them getting through your window and hopping into your car! I had some really fun and spooky interactions with a few of them. I understand they don't have much room to work with as far as set pieces, so if you're looking for themed rooms or facades like the hayride, this is definitely not for you. Given how long the wait was last night (though understandably as it was the Saturday before Halloween), versus how much time was spent actually experiencing what the haunt had to offer, I just don't think this experience was worth the price tag. Speaking of the price tag real quick, I also struggled to understand the validity behind their pricing tiers online. The prices change based on what time you say you're going to be there in line for the attraction. But it didn't seem to matter. I played the honest game, and bought the ticket for the time I said I could arrive , but I think I spent an extra $15 for absolutely no reason. I don't think $44 is worth a car wash and 5 minutes of interaction with actors. In my opinion they still could have made this a 4 star haunt if they hired more actors. There were SO many cars in line once you got on the car wash property and I think it was grossly misused by keeping their actors in one small area.

He worked hard to make us feel like we were truly trapped in a scary scenario, sprinkling just the right amount of tension, dread, and "oh no what did we get ourselves into?" energy. It was spooky, fun, and slightly unhinged -- which we loved. We're already planning our return for the Zoe room, and I cannot wait to willingly walk back into fear. The staff was really friendly and even asked if we wanted it less scary or really scary. I chose "less scary" because of the two girls with us that were afraid :P‍ That said it was still eerie and had a good amount of scares. The best part is (again) the style of costumes and viewpoint of horror, spirits and ghosts in Asia. I won't spoil the specific scares but there is one part in particular where I had an "oh hell nah!" moment 0_0 The maze seemed kind of short, maybe 7 minutes, but i wasn't counting. There weren't really any extravagant special effects which could be good or bad depending on the person. I feel a haunted house can be good without all of the over-production. That said, this does feel like a lower-budget haunted house, but at $15, I found it to be worth it and my group had fun too I hope this maze gets more business because it could be a little bigger and get more staff for scaring. It's such a refreshing take on haunted houses though and I want this place to be around for more Halloweens!

I must say this maze had me since the queue. Lining up, attendees observed a cemetery, complete with a friendly caretaker. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=0soEAYcpKJ3cnorgeAxJMA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=w8-l0MpNgr93r1VGGyNHSA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=uV2S5io-aK7bqoy6p-CpZA Once near the entrance, various Calico city officials stated the various crimes against Sarah Marshall and led chants of "Hang that witch!". https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select_video=tFH1ORB2hcC0EXkXusihqg Inside, the meticulously detailed sets were captivating, starting at the courthouse, then to the town jail, and so on & so forth through the fictional Old West town of Calico. Haunted CGI mirrors of Sarah Marshall were strewn about, along with a creepy baby for good measure. 2 "scary groots" near the end were simply adorable! The piece de resistance of the maze is also quite cool, which I won't spoil. Origins - The Curse of Calico is a worthy new addition to the scare mazes at Knott's Scary Farm, hence the posted 45 minute wait the first of two times I visited the maze. The place settings & decor are quite convincing, and warrant a second trip, of which I managed to do close to when the park was closing. Since this is the final year for Special Ops:Infected, Origins - The Curse of Calico may be my new favorite Knott's Berry Farm scare maze. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=Cmo99ppTKNbTSFEd6_hUEQ Highly recommend!

Not only is them maze great but the queue is too. They have people interacting and scaring you. Asking if you've seen the witch and people measuring your body for the coffin. The sets are huge and has some of the best safes in the park. I waited 1 hour and I was definitely worth it. Origins is a must when visiting Knotts Scary Farm.

What in the low budget, half- put together, crap is this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?…read more This was horrible. I LOVE horror/ all things Halloween and spooky related. But this "event" was disgraceful. Like honestly, I'm embarrassed for the people running this thing. How do you look people in the eyes and charge for this? I could throw something together better than this in my garage. Heck, my 6-year-old nephew could top this. The costumes were cheap. The acting was poor. The props were basic and not even scary. The whole skit about mannequins was dumb... And the being buried in a coffin part was also very lackluster/ drawn out/ not suspenseful. The scariest part was the smell of body odor as you walked through the "maze." Which was just a bunch of sheets hung up, flashing lights and some smog machines. Waste of time and money. What a joke. The horror club next-door looked like it was packed and had a big crowd. Take your chances with that next year instead of this.

If you want a haunted house that would be scary enough to be fun but not realistic enough to traumatize your children then this is a good place to start. We had fun! Especially enjoyed the scene with the mannequins shaking our hands and how well the scare actor in that scene made the moments personalized and immersive.
