We were on our first day of vacation, about 10 hours away from home in a Ford we had bought just 1 month prior. Our transmission light came on. We were losing power and we were able to coast in to the dealership lot. From the moment we got there everyone was helpful. It needed diagnostics and we needed lunch! A lady told us about everything there was nearby and drove us in the courtesy car to a restaurant and offered to pick us back up. When we got back, we got the horrible news that our transmission was flawed (freestyle CVT) and irreparable. It would cost $5,750 to replace it. I came unglued inside. We were headed to YLSTN and nothing should have gotten in our way! My husband and I debated about what to do, and of course they tried to sell us a car. They offered us $500 for a car we had just bought (not there). The service person we had was great. He told us of some things to do nearby so we could still have a mini vacation and not travel any further because I was so worried. He even tried to get us a free room at a local hotel! My husband wanted to try and limp the car on over to Montana, so we did. We made it there and back (overheating the trans several times) found out about a recall after getting back home (if they would have done a bit of research they could have done it and possibly saved us a little trouble) and still drive it today (put about 13,000 miles on it since May 29,2013). Long story short- ultimately they will do what they are trained to do, try and sell you a car. However, they were kind, understanding, patient, helpful, courteous, and down right friendly.... oh, and they didn't charge me to tell me that it was junk! I don't tend to leave negative reviews--but my experience with Sioux Falls Ford has been disappointing enough that I feel it's necessary. My issue is with a promise made to me through the Ford Blue Advantage program during the purchase process. After the sale, I followed up with Malik (salesman) to get that promise fulfilled--no response. I circled back again, and instead of helping, he questioned whether my tires even met the required tread specs to qualify, essentially implying the issue wasn't valid. I explained that there may have been an error in how the tread was originally documented and provided proof showing the tires were in fact worn. After that... nothing. No acknowledgment, no resolution, just silence. I'm writing this after also reaching out to the finance and sales management team via email. It has now been about two weeks since I first initiated the conversation with the salesman. I emailed management on Friday, and still--no response. It's been complete silence. What makes it worse is the pattern: instant responses and attention before the sale, but once there's an issue afterward, it's crickets. That kind of "pre-sale vs post-sale" shift is frustrating and honestly feels like a bad look for any dealership. In business, your word is everything. Don't promise something if you can't or won't deliver on it. It's not even about the tires anymore--I can pay for my own. It's about being questioned despite providing proof, and then being completely ignored afterward. I would have much preferred to update this review with a positive outcome, but without any accountability or response, I can't recommend this dealership based on my experience. If someone from management is willing to step in and make this right, I'm still open to resolving it. read more

The service is horrible. I have an extended warranty but trying to get in to get your car looked at or worked on is a nightmare. They never have loaners for you because they're always out. Expect those little charges from them for anything the do. Even just looking at it when you have an extended warranty. I would avoid at all costs. Much better options in town read more

I had my truck in for a tire rotation and they broke my center cap and my truck has a thump sound since it left. I spoke with the quick lane manager and he said he would have my vehicle picked up on 12/31/25 to have the sound looked at and order my new center cap, well today is 01/14/26 and i have yet to even hear from him. My truck still has a thump sound in the front since they worked on it and its progressively getting worse. read more

I do not recommend Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln. I purchased a used 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 from their budget lot after being assured by both the salesperson and manager that the only issue with the truck was an exhaust leak. I asked about a ticking noise I heard when starting it up, and they confidently told me it was related to the exhaust and "an easy fix." They emphasized that their mechanic had inspected it and confirmed there were no other issues. Based on their word and what I believed was a professional inspection, I went ahead with the purchase and did not buy the extended warranty. A couple of months later, I finally had time to bring the truck in to fix the supposed exhaust issue. That's when my local mechanic informed me it wasn't just an exhaust leak -- the engine needs a rebuild. He suspects a bent push rod or camshaft damage, in addition to the exhaust leak. He told me the noise was obvious and believes any competent mechanic would have caught it. I reached out to the dealership multiple times, made phone calls, and even sent a certified letter. Their only response? "You didn't buy the extended warranty -- it's not our problem." In my opinion, this dealership either knew about the serious engine issue and misled me to make a quick sale, or their mechanic never actually inspected the truck like they claimed. Either way, it's unacceptable. This experience has been both financially and emotionally draining. I strongly urge anyone considering a vehicle from Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln to get it inspected by a trusted third-party mechanic before making a purchase. I won't be returning, and I won't be recommending them to anyone. read more

When a company holds filing a complaint with the BBB against you, that should scare people. I sent the evidence at the time and been collecting since, and have now was told by the BBB that I can amend the original complaint and submit all I have. I would love to send SFF a copy as well to be fair. They can say what they will about however they see this situation but I am not the villain and was cordial until treated the way we were (with evidence to prove allegations). Also, the fact that someone is lying about the whole situation around the most recent loaner is baffling but I will submit proof to whoever requests it as well as BBB and legal. Because of those lies SFF wont give us a loaner, never mind our extended warranty covers it. I know what happened and someone, or several people at ford knows but wont be honest about it so I will follow through with other channels and just have to accept that they will make me look like the lazy, impatient, angry, mean, (or whatever the theory there is) regretful excuse for a customer. Calling a customer a lier and just treating them the way we have been is beyond comprehension. I have call logs, recorded calls (even when your system blocked my phone recorder), text messages, emails, and video to prove what I say. I hate seeming vindictive but the way we have been "handled" is not nice and being made to seem like I am the problem is not a solution to a problem the needs to be solved. Being vocal about said problems because it was the only way to get called back should not be attacked and pressured but a reason to investigate. read more

I called on a vehicle coming soon 4 times and the sales associate that I talked to didn't seem to care about my interest. It was frustrating, Someone called me 2 hours prior to the vehicle hitting the lot and ensured me that I would be the first to see it. I was on my way to the dealership and received a call that the vehicle was sold and that the new owner had already taken possession of it. These people lie and they don't care. They should go back to a commission model, because they clearly do not care. This dealership is unprofessional and they do not care for their consumer. Super disappointed! read more

Coldest day if the year. Battery dies. Lights, sensors all blinking & clicking and car locked up while at work. Within one hour of calling, Matt Witkop, Service Manager, comes himself to my place of work, brings me a brand new car to drive and jumps my car and brings it back to the dealership to address. Has everything fixed within 3 hours and has someone coming to bring me my car back before I am off work. Talk about turning a big challenge for me into a total win!! He blew my socks off! So impressive!! Being in a service industry myself for almost 40 years I can say this was one of the top service experiences I have ever had. Cost was also reasonable! My ford escape was in this shop for a turbo repair. I do have an extended warranty that fully covered the repair and was given confirmation from my service agent that is was covered, but that I would be charged for a diagnostic and fluids used and was quoted $150 My service agent Sam M. was extremely responsive and did an excellent job in making sure I was set up with a rental vehicle given the repair took 2-3 weeks to complete. But once I went in to pick up my vehicle, I was told the charges are actually going to be $310 because of a bolt that was stuck / needed to be replaced, and I was charged $160 for labor... read more

to all of my overseas veterans please steer clear of this dealership. if we work overseas they can't produce a good video for the requested vehicle and you will be accused of fraud if you can't do a video call. as all my veterans know that have been in iraq the network is barely good for talking let alone doing video calls. i requested a video and realistic pictures of a lexus gs 350 f sport black that had been owned by 5 previous owners and was car faxed for being in an accidnt of course being overseas and buying a vehicle site unseen is already a risk, so for them not to want to produce pictures was a red flag !! if you have other options i say go for another delarship thanks! read more

The service team at Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln went above and beyond to help us as we travelled through in our RV. The check engine light was on and the engine was running rough. Although they were booked out two weeks for service appointments the good folks agreed to scan the computer for fault codes to see what was going on. They found an open circuit for a fuel injector which turned out to be caused by a squirrel chewing through the wire. They squeezed us in soon after and within an hour had the part replaced and we were back on the road. It is truly wonderful to have experienced this level of professionalism and kindness and we are so grateful for the assistance. read more

We found a vehicle that we loved but it was a few hours out of town. We came to Sioux Falls Ford to see if they could run the numbers and dealer transfer the car. We all knew we would have negative equity with our trade, but they thought they could get it done. We came up with 7 grand down and 3.9 for 72 months, my payment would be a little over 1030. We put money down and the car was on its way. I pushed to try and get it sooner because my current vehicle was due, and I told them so. We came back about a week later when the car had arrived only to be told we needed another 7000 down. What! The finance manager, Jorge Carmona lied right to my face and said the deal we had was not the deal we agreed on and that they wanted more money down. He was so nervous talking to me that he was physically shaking, he could barely put his papers back in the folder in his hands. He kept saying 'remember, we talked about this.' No! no we didn't. I would never have asked the dealership to SHIP THE CAR if I couldn't afford the down payment. The general sales manager Kevin Roast came over. He called me a liar in so many words, said I didn't pay my other car payment and that their person would never tell me not to pay (see screen shot) and that the deal I walked out with was not the deal I walked out with (see attached sheet signed by Jorge.) It didn't matter what we said or did - we weren't getting the car without 12k down. Kevin said 'as a friend I would not finance the car'. I would have ended up with an 1030 payment and being upsidedown in the car. Which was none of Kevins business -friend. This was the dream car and we can afford it, and the payment isn't much more than the one we're making now on a vehicle that we don't love. I met the terms and they still wouldn't give me the car. It's heartbreaking, but more than that I'm furious they wouldn't honor their own 'sign this paper if you agree' garbage. I can't believe the finance manager lied to my face and I can't believe how condescending Kevin was - sitting there totally unwilling to do anything..and the audacity to say that the info I have in writing was a Misunderstanding. The dealer didn't stand to make much on the vehicle. I get it. But treating a customer that way is sad. I met the terms! We love the Car! Since this is a pretty negative review, I think I should start with the good things. The facility is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Andrew, the only service writer I have worked with on several occasions is a very professional, prompt, efficient employee and I highly recommend you seek him out if you choose to do service with SF Ford. Now the negative. I started bringing my 6.7 F350 to SF Ford on a recommendation since my dealer closed last year. I have serious concerns about their quality control and the integrity of the service technicians. Event 1: Brought my truck in for a check engine light. It was determined a LPSOV valve was failing (or something like that--fuel system related). They performed the repair and I picked up my truck. 10 minutes after leaving the dealership, the check engine light came on and the truck went into limp mode. The vehicle was returned and I was informed the high pressure fuel pump failed. Fair enough, things happen. Event 2: Brought my vehicle in for service. At some point during the service, the air intake assembly was damaged. This was not disclosed to me. I discovered the damage on a routine inspection a few days later. I am extremely diligent with maintenance on my vehicles and noticed a trail of black epoxy drippings across the top of the grill and radiator. I followed the trail and discovered the damage. Instead of replacing the damaged part, an attempt was made to "glue" the part together. This damage was not reported to me. It is clear the technician who worked on the vehicle did not disclose the damage. I brought this to the attention of Andrew, ( I truly believe he was as upset as I was). Still, I had to drive over 100 miles each way to return the vehicle to have the damaged part properly replaced. I should have never returned. If it were not for the professionalism of Andrew, they would never have seen me again. Event 3: Came in for a major service, factory recall, and check engine light. Had the 4x4 service, coolant change, and radiator fluid change done. About $1000 in maintenance done. One of the issues was a sensor in the steering column. As I'm driving home, I noticed the steering wheel was off center to the right, about half a hand width up on the left. My steering wheel was perfectly centered and always had been before bringing it in. I looked at the paperwork from the repairs and the work receipt stated the steering wheel was removed and replaced to replace a sensor. From my perspective, there seems to be a quality control issue in the maintenance department. Are technicians following the repair publications or winging it? A fuel pump failure after a fuel system repair is probably not coincidental. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. As I said earlier, damaging a customer's vehicle then trying to conceal the damage is fatal. I should have not returned after that. Had it not been for Andrew's professionalism, I would not have returned. After Event 3, I spoke with the maintenance manager. In all fairness, he asked what he could do to make it right? He also expressed confusion about the steering wheel and stated they only go on one way. I'll have to take his word for it. It may only go on one way but it did not go back on in the same position it was when it was brought in. There is no doubt about that and it goes back to quality control. The last very minor thing that aggravated me was the leather steering wheel was smudged with oil and grimy. It was not delivered to them that way. I have a thing about clean hands and constantly wipe my steering wheel down. I expect the vehicle to be returned with ALL of the byproducts of the service event to be removed and cleaned from vehicle, including dirt and oil smudges. I was asked to return the vehicle to fix the steering wheel. I will not be returning to SF Ford because I simply don't trust them. I have to wonder if anything else was damaged and not disclosed. I have to wonder if the services were completed correctly. Perhaps my experience with QC and Integrity is solitary and I acknowledge that possibility. I urge readers to read all the reviews as most of them are positive. read more

My radiator fan would not shut off and it was after the service dept close. I called Ford and they had me just dropped my car off in front of the service doors and leave my key in the dropbox. I was able to pick my car up the next day. The problem was fixed. And the price was reasonable. All staff was very helpful. read more

Horrible, at least as far the internet sales go. We called four different times and were told two of the four times that the vehicle we wanted had been sold. When we tried to express to the gentlemen that we knew it had not because we were in the process of buying it we were blown off and told that they were sorry but that vehicle was no longer on their lot. We would call right back and amazingly it would be there. We never had our calls returned, we had to call muliple times as our sales person was "not available", "sick" or "off". The company brags that they don't pay their sales people a commission, maybe they should then they would be more motivated to sell a vehicle within a timely manner. read more

My review is with the overall experience. My salesperson Moose Makram was very helpful, friendly and did a great job with getting all the information about the vehicle I purchased before I made a 3.5 hour trip to Sioux Falls. The biggest issue I am having (present tense) and the reason I am writing a review is the finance department. Dustin Patch did our exiting paperwork and I noticed a $1500.00 charge for an extended warranty in which we didn't want, he told me I would have 7 days to cancel if that's the route we wanted to go after I talked to my husband. My husband called two days later (Monday morning, June 22) after playing the cat and mouse game for 10 days, we finally received the paper on July 2 and still waiting to hear what the next step is. During this time, I had contacted the employee that does the title's as I can't register my car without it. She said she would have the title and sales tax check in the mail within two days...well it's been a week and still nothing. I will never buy or recommend to anyone to buy a vehicle from this dealership. read more

The service department is horrible. My New F150 lost oil pressure and power while on the highway. Called SF Ford, and they said I had to contact roadside assistance for warranty work. Called roadside assistance and was told no towing service in South Dakota. After a $500 tow to the dealership, the vehicle was at the dealership for a week. Had to call several times to find out the status of the vehicle. Once, manager Lyle said the vehicle was not there or in the shop and would get to it when they get to it. Service representative Miguel would never answer the phone and left several messages. Finally went to the dealership after a week to get the vehicle and had the paperwork thrown at me by Bill stating nothing wrong with your vehicle, no charge. Found out they had been having the courtesy drivers drive my vehicle all week and went through a tank of gas and changed all the settings on my information screen, and left a bad smell in the vehicle. Left a complaint and have never heard anything back. read more

My review is in relation to their service department. I brought my F-150 here for an oil change and service, and they didn't do a bad job there. What they did that resulted in my poor review was my that my driver side window occasionally sticks, and they rolled it down, and of course it stuck. No big deal right? Well they proceeded to charge me for disassembling the window, even though they couldn't fix it due to parts not on hand, and even though the window motor was completely jammed under their watch. Most good dealer service departments would just do it for you to show good service and care for their customer. Apparently Sioux Falls Ford is too cheap to save a Soldier moving across the country a few bucks. read more

I expected to just let a technician know about it while it was acting up and get an appointment later. They got me in right away and fixed the problem. Visited this dealership for the first time October 2019. Airbag recall was the specific reason. Decided to leave the vehicle while I was going to work for the day. Shuttle doesn't leave until 7:30 am. But the first appointment is at 7am. Was late for work. Paid for an oil change since the car would be there all day. We always can find what we are looking for, they have a wide selection and we like that they are right in front of the Empire Mall. Their so-called Quick Lane is horribly misnamed. It is anything but quick. Should be named QUIT lane...quit thinking you are going to get in and out of there in less than 2 hours. Stopped by around 10:45 today. The young lady sitting at the counter said it was an hour and a half wait. I asked when was a better time. Maybe near closing at 3PM she said (they are open til 7). Then she offered up that "sometimes in the morning when we first open it is ok". Called back at 3PM to ask what the wait time was now. Got a recording that said to leave a number and we will call back. It is now 4:20 and no call. Now it is 5:20 and no call. Guess they are lying when they say they will call back. Really poor. Think when my lease is up I will go elsewhere. Matt the Manager responded with comments but his comments do not really address what I commented on. He did not address the lengthy wait except to say they are busy. Has he considered tracking wait times and the time of day/day of week they are the longest etc. to gather some metrics? How about using it to manage staffing? I called yesterday as I note above to ask what the wait time was, but got a recording that asked me to leave a number so they could call back. I did so and it is now 26 hours later and they have yet to call. By the way, this is not the first time this has occurred. Last time we brought our vehicle in, m wife was told less than an hour and she ended up in the waiting room for 2 hours. We received an email survey asking for feedback. Replied with feedback about the wait but never received any further contact. Bottom line remains, is the Quicklane system/process/model is broken and costs your customers entirely too much time. read more

First let me start with the good things, they are very responsive when you are first looking at a vehicle and tell them that you have already been pre-approved for financing. We live in Nebraska and had all of our ducks in a row before we even reached out to Sioux Falls Ford. Here's my advice though, do not waste your time purchasing from here. They try to sell you on their "NICE" guarantee but they are just like any other used car dealership. When we purchased our truck Jen, our sales person, assured me that they would deliver the truck to us. She said that it was no problem, they have driven over 8 hours before to deliver a vehicle. Lie number 1. On the day we were to sign papers she stated that they could only drive as far as Vermillion, SD. That is a 2 and a half hour drive for us that we were not planning on making. Here's lie number 2. They tell you that they include the title and licensing cost in the vehicle loan amount and that they will register the car for you and your plates will be sent to your house and you do not need to go to the DMV. Don't fall for it, they have no idea what they are talking about. They charged me an additional $461 claiming that it was the licensing and tax fees, it wasn't. The plates were not sent to my house, I still had to go to the DMV. When I got to the DMV they informed me that the overcharge would be sent to the dealership. I called Sioux Falls Ford multiple times and sent multiple emails, none of which were returned. Lie #3, they claimed that their "NICE" guarantee covers everything bumper to bumper no questions asked, that is what the sales person Jen said to me over and over again. I have had my truck now for just 3 months and the exhaust manifold cracked and the brakes have gone out. I called to try and set up a time to get my truck in to be fixed and surprise surprise they will fix it, but it's not covered by their "NICE" Guarantee. This dealership has been nothing but a headache for me. I like my truck but I wish I would not have wasted my time or money purchasing from Sioux Falls Ford. Steer clear from this dealership if you value your time, money, and piece of mind. read more
