I've taken 2 guess to this location for service, night I've never bought from them, but only because I hadn't been in the market. Absolute WORST customer service. Absolutely mind blowing. A few weeks ago I made an appointment in advance to have a seatbelt replaced in my Ford Explorer. Go to pick it up because they said it was done, get there and they did NOT replace it and said they needed to order it. They THEN tried to charge me over $50 in "diagnostic fees" on my broken seatbelt!! I said no, I TOLD YOU it was broken and needed to be replaced, that was the whole point of the appointment. So now I have to wait for the part to come in. Fast forward a few weeks I make another appointment to have this seatbelt replaced because they called and said the part is in. Bring it in and 7:15 am, they said half a day to replace it. Call around 2 and it's still not ready. They call back at 4 pm and say sorry, we have the wrong parts we have to order the right ones. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Here's the thing, I'm about to give birth at any point now and I cannot buckle in my baby's car seat and bring my baby home without this seatbelt buckle working in my car. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM. All they have to say is bring it back some other day ‍. I don't have another vehicle, this isn't just a piece of cake to work around. I have now brought it in for 2 appointments for the same thing and have gotten NOWHERE. I'm beyond angry at this point. Go to pick it up tonight and we can't even get any questions answered or any resolution because "they're sorry but Bob only works until 5. You'll have to wait until tomorrow and call". Then i find out they did some recall work on my vehicle without telling me before. I still don't even know what they did because I'm not aware of any recalls. I don't have all the time in the world to get this done. I've only brought my Ford vehicles to this dealership for everything for over 4 years now but looks like I need to find somewhere else. We were on our first day of vacation, about 10 hours away from home in a Ford we had bought just 1 month prior. Our transmission light came on. We were losing power and we were able to coast in to the dealership lot. From the moment we got there everyone was helpful. It needed diagnostics and we needed lunch! A lady told us about everything there was nearby and drove us in the courtesy car to a restaurant and offered to pick us back up. When we got back, we got the horrible news that our transmission was flawed (freestyle CVT) and irreparable. It would cost $5,750 to replace it. I came unglued inside. We were headed to YLSTN and nothing should have gotten in our way! My husband and I debated about what to do, and of course they tried to sell us a car. They offered us $500 for a car we had just bought (not there). The service person we had was great. He told us of some things to do nearby so we could still have a mini vacation and not travel any further because I was so worried. He even tried to get us a free room at a local hotel! My husband wanted to try and limp the car on over to Montana, so we did. We made it there and back (overheating the trans several times) found out about a recall after getting back home (if they would have done a bit of research they could have done it and possibly saved us a little trouble) and still drive it today (put about 13,000 miles on it since May 29,2013). Long story short- ultimately they will do what they are trained to do, try and sell you a car. However, they were kind, understanding, patient, helpful, courteous, and down right friendly.... oh, and they didn't charge me to tell me that it was junk! The aftermarket part in question on the F150 was working fine until the dash had to be removed for an AC actuator, then did not work after that. The truck was purchased from Ford with that already installed. Also this truck was a certified used truck. As for the F350, asked to have electrical lights fixed and an oil change. Lights were fixed but oil was not changed. This was on our service vehicle which the second trip to do the oil change was another inconvenience. As for the personal F350, it was brought in for a carrier bearing vibration. Picked it was told it was fixed, turned out it was like nothing had been fixed. Like I stated previously, I used have confidence in the techs there but lately I question their ability. read more

Spent 2.5 hours dealing on what we all thought was a 4 wheel drive edge. Literally at last negotiation attempt the salesman said "Uh, this edge is only front wheel drive, im sorry". I could not believe it. Sales team seemed way to hands off and did not have product knowledge what so ever. We discussed why we needed 4 wheel drive, and how the 4 wheel drive option worked prior to negotiating on price. I will not ever buy from Sioux falls ford due to my treatment, and lack of caring that they made a mistake. read more

Mine is with the service department. I have been waiting two months for a part to come in to fix a problem with the clutch. When I mention that I drive 150 miles each day and always being afraid the car will die because it sputters and coughs from every stop sign, they laugh and find it funny. When I ask what Ford is going to do to compensate me for the months I have spent driving in fear, they ask why I think it is their responsibility to do anything. Then, because I am girl, they try to tell me that the car won't die, just because the clutch goes out. Like I am really that stupid!! Like they said, they didn't build the car, but they DO put on that Ford logo every day and CHOOSE to represent the company. Funny, I wonder why I was argumentative by the end of the conversation. read more

Worst customer service in all of our 40 years of driving Fords. We are under an airbag recall on our 2nd vehicle (2008 Ranger) and Corporate has written us after 2 years since the recall happened that the parts are now ready and it should be repaired (passenger airbag). Ford was RUDE and said they have no parts. They delivered a 2017 NEW Escape to us last end of July and have NEVER ever given us a tutorial on the vehicle and on SYNC virtually not allowing us to have maximum use of it. The Sales Manager and Asst. Sales Manager BOTH were extremely rude to us when we came to pick up car (in fact Asst Sales Manager who sold us vehicle was out) When we call in they ask us "who is our salesman?" We tell them we DO NOT have one as you have handed us off to whoever is there at the time. Horrendous service. We need help as the airbag is a serious danger right now. This was my first experience buying a car from a dealership. The staff was more than helpful in making the visit and the process of buying my vehicle as pain free as possible. It was obvious to me that the employees care about the customers' satisfaction. I liked the explanation of the pricing, the warranty plans, and the trade in value of my previous vehicle. The day after I purchased the car, a Sunday, I had an issue with the check engine light coming on and the gas gauge not working properly. Not expecting a response that day, I sent my dealer a message to let him know what was going on and see what I need to do. He called me within a few minutes and walked me through the steps I needed to take. By 9am Monday morning I had gotten a call from the service team who got me in to look at the car that day on my schedule. My dealer checked in during the entire process to make sure I was taken care of properly. Working in a customer-service based business myself, I appreciate the effort and attitudes of all that I have come in contact with so far, and I am looking forward to working with you all in the future. read more

*****To follow up with this post....Spoke with the service manager about my terrible experience and he did not seem to care. Was very disappointed with his response. I checked the filter and looked at the oil and I do not believe Sioux Falls Ford changed it. It looked old and the filter was the same one I put on it. I think Sioux Falls Ford is just running cars through the car wash and charging people for an oil change. I have been coming to Sioux Falls Ford for over 11 years and this is very disappointing! Have they gotten to big for their own good? Regardless, I think they are scamming people on their oil changes charging people for a service and not doing it. ***** Went to Sioux Falls Ford for an oil change with a vehicle that has been there several times before. It took over an hour and a half to get the oil change completed. While I was waiting for the service to be completed I was looking at their inventory, considering a new vehicle. I saw several salesmen standing around talking with each other, made eye contact with two of them but none of them came over to me to answer the questions I had. I received a phone call stating that the work was done at which point it was discovered that they put a completely different name on the ticket then the name I gave them( my name). After I paid for the work and was leaving the lot I saw that they did not update the window sticker for the oil change. When I came back and asked for a updated sticker it was learned that the name they had in the computer system was incorrect as well. There was errors in the information in the computer. The employee helping me made up a BS story that it was the previous owners name, which is not accurate, it was just another mistake on their end. I told the employee that three mistakes just for an oil change does NOT inspire confidence in the work they do he replied that they are the busiest oil change center in the city so they make lots of mistakes.
