For $10/pp, you get to play 3 hours of unlimited board games - such a fun idea! I visited recently with a few friends and it was a great time for everyone. They had hundreds of games, ranging from family game night classics to unique Kickstarter games you have probably never played before. They have a good sorting system where games are grouped by genre, making it easy to find new games that are genres you'll enjoy. The only downside was that some of the games are a little beat up, but they were all still playable and there were plenty of other options. They have a food (didn't try any this visit) and a variety of drink options available including boba, coffees and teas, and a few beer options. The boba was tasty, and all the drinks were reasonably priced. You order at the counter and they bring your order to your table when it's ready, allowing you to maximize your gameplay time. Highly recommend stopping by when you have a few hours and are looking for a fun and unique experience! read more

This place is so adorable and fun! I came here with 3 other friends on a Thursday evening and we were able to sit down right away. The worker was nice and explained everything to us since it was our first time. We all decided to start off with drinks and snacks because we were hungry so we scanned the QR code on the table to view the menu. I ended up ordering a mango green tea with bubbles and French fries. Both were delicious! I would honestly come back to this place just to order bubble tea to go. My friends also ordered bubble tea and everyone enjoyed it. Later, I ordered their turkey club sandwich which was great but a little overpriced ($10.50) In terms of the board games, we ended up having so much fun that we spent 7 hours at this place in total. It was $7 for the first three hours and then they said it was $5 to stay basically the rest of the day (so we paid $12 per person overall to stay 7 hours). There are so many games to choose from and the food that they offer make it a perfect place to hangout with friends. The only minor comment would be that a lot of games were very disorganized inside or there would be missing pieces so we had to sort through each game before playing them to make sure everything was there. I love the concept of this place: $7 for 3 hours of unlimited game play, and you get to eat and drink while you do. The food was very good and priced pretty reasonably. I'm usually not a fan of boba but decided to try it here - I enjoyed the taro boba! They have a pretty big selection of games but sadly they didn't have Operation! (It is on their website and I saw it in the TikTok that introduced this place to me). I will say that I wish they took better care of the games, though. All of the Uno games we opened smelled musty and the cards were sticky and visibly dirty. And some games were missing pieces. Overall, my sister and I had a fun time and will probably stop by again if we're around. Probably even more fun when you bring a group! read more

After hearing from my friends how fun Sip N' Play was, I knew I had to check it out. I'm not a boad game person AT ALL, I find it very time consuming but that definitely changed once I arrived. I visited with two friends, we were able to get a table for $5 pp for 3 hours. What a steal! The drinks we ordered were the brown sugar boba, the O.G, and the peach green tea boba, along with a side of tater tots + turkey sandwich. My favorite was the brown sugar boba, although I wish they had an option for "less sugar". It's obvious the owner put a lot of thought and love into this cafe, everything was well kept and clean. I love that there were so many different types of board games, some I haven't seen since my childhood (CANDYLAND). Overall, I definitely will revisit because Sip N' Play is the ideal hangout AND an awesome date idea! read more

This place is a neighborhood gem. Even if you're just looking for a drink or a bite to eat, they have you covered. I usually come for the boba, but everything is honestly delicious. What really makes the experience, though, is how great the staff are. Jonathan really cares about making your experience the best it can be. I heard some buzz going on about this board game cafe so my friends and I decided to visit on a Saturday at around 5pm. The cafe opened not too long ago with a few promotions going on so unsurprisingly, all the tables were full. My friends tried to inquire on wait time and were told an hour wait. I was surprised at how popular this place got already. They have super inexpensive game sessions ranging from 3 hours to unlimited playing time, which explains why there was such a long wait. It would've been nice if the cafe was more organized as to which tables were freeing up but it seemed like it was a first come first serve basis. After 30 mins, my friends and I finally scored a large table for 6. Staff wasn't there to help tidy it up so we just had to settle down and clean the space ourselves. We paid for the 3 hr session which was $5 per person. The game session also came with free drinks so I ordered a brown sugar bubble tea which actually tasted pretty good. It was not overwhelmingly sweet for a brown sugar drink. Overall, we spent a good 3 hours playing a variety of games and I was happy with our experience overall. read more

I had the grapefruit green iced tea and my fiancé had the brown sugar milk tea. He said the milk tea tasted like a brown sugar Poptart. The grapefruit green tea was so refreshing, especially on a hot day. It even had a slice of fresh grapefruit inside. Ive walked by a few boardgame places before and even though I was curious they all seem to be very unwelcoming to newcomers and boardgame virgins. However I dont find that here at Sip and Play. The display of carb-heavy pastries and the smell of espresso is an attractive lure for a caffeine-addict prey like myself. I ordered 2 Cappuccinos and they were top-quality, head to head with my favorite coffeeshop Velvette. We played Yahtzee, Boggle, and mancala. They charge $5 per player for 3 hours of game time and $10 per player for all day play. They take reservations as well, which is nice. There were also quite a few shelves of games, and they have a lot of the mainstream popular board games as well as some games I've never heard of before. What can I say, this place is just so enjoyable to be at, I'm dumfounded, they definitely have a variety of drinks, we ordered the Nutella latte, and the Mango green Tea and they did not disappointed us at all, the staff was friendly and attentive with us, when I asked if they could make a croissant with Nutella, which wasn't on their menu, they still said yes, I also caught from a small glance, how on top they were with their cleaning, one of the employees always kept coming to clean the tables right after people would leave Oi, but the most important part are the games, they hold so much treasure that needs to be explored!! we were happy that when we were talking to an employe and we came to find out that we were actually talking to the owner himself. he was very approachable, and even asked what we would like to see for pastries in the future, It is definitively nice to know he takes importance to what costumers have to say! 10/10 we are coming back :) read more

I got the matcha latte and the tuna melt sandwich and WOW. The matcha latte design was SO GORGEOUS that I didn't want to drink it at first, but I'm glad I did. Very yummy. The brown sugar milk tea is one of my current favs. They have a solid selection of snacks and some pastries, too. Sip N' Play has a lot of indoor space (temperature checks required to dine in), and on the weekends they set up massive tables on the street for outdoor board game play. We've tried the mango bubble tea, coffee, hot chocolate, chicken poppers, mozzarella sticks, fries, and a few of their pastries. My favorites are the mango bubble tea and mozzarella sticks. Can't stress enough how friendly and sweet all of the staff are! We came here for a double date on a Friday night and it was really busy, and the owner went out of his way to rearrange a few things and help us find a table.
