Well, i have been to paint along nashville and to compare that to sips and stroke was eh. The woman went too fast and she kind of seemed annoyed when you were following quick enough. I mean, it's supposed to be a fun, wine-drinking type of relaxing fun thing to do and she made it a chore. On top of that she also didn't give us a lot of tips. It also didn't turn out like the internet version of the painting. I wont be coming back to this place. sorry.

My husband and I were visiting Nashville for our 5 year anniversary! I found this place online & immediately thought this might be something fun for us! The only class that wasn't full was a Sunday afternoon class & to my surprise the theme was graffiti hearts! (Perfect for our anniversary) There was one other guy in the class (to my husbands delight)! I felt the instructor went a bit fast, but this may just be what is required to get the painting done in the allotted time. But, she was very helpful if had any questions along the way! You just can't really be a perfectionist in this class. You more just have to go with the flow. Overall, we had a great time & have a wonderful memory & two art piece souvenirs that we plan to hang side by side in our home office! I might add the Sunday afternoon class was fun so I can only image what the Friday or Sat night class with a few drinks might be! I would like to add I do not think you would enjoy this class if you didn't have some interest in art.

A colorful cupcake! So much fun with all the colors

There isn't a better place to paint in Nashville. They have the best instructors and they best monthly calendars. It is a place that both guys and girls enjoy. The teachers all go above and beyond to help you and teach you the painting. I would go every night if my apartment had enough wall space for all my paintings!

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

I'd still consider going back since they're open fairly late, which I really appreciate. There's a small parking lot next to the shop, which is convenient. Overall, a fun spot for the atmosphere even if the coffee didn't quite hit for me.

It was a drop in event so you could arrive anytime between 8pm and 11pm. On arrival there were no instructions beyond grab an apron and canvas and sit wherever. If I didn't frequent sip and paint events I would have been completely lost. The canvas designs was cute and there were several adult themed ones for "Freaky Friday". The brushes and paint were definitely low quality and wouldn't mix/ blend well. There were no rags or paper towels however we did receive a few napkins. All of the supplies honestly gave very much Dollar Tree. During the event, the entire studio was illuminated by a red light which was not conducive to a painting experience. You couldn't see the true colors you were using or mixing without utilizing the flashlight from our cellphones. Even still the red looked orange. I'm not sure if the "DJ" was the owner/manager. It seemed they were playing music of a music app but instead of having a playlist he was playing random songs which was not making smooth transitions.

We looked through the Project Gallery, which had quite a variety of signs to choose from, and each of us selected a different one to make. These were the first signs any of us have ever made. They provided us with all the quality materials, tools, and personal instructions need for each project. The entire staff was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable with the variety of projects we choose from. Emily, was a godsend! She was very patient and detailed in answering our questions. She even assisted us when we doubted our ability. Kathy, the owner, was right there helping as needed while working with another group also. We never felt rushed. We brought a charcuterie tray and drinks with us to nibble and sip on as we worked. Such fun!! Keep in mind when picking projects and setting aside enough time to complete them, that the smaller signs could take an hour, the large ones can take two hours, and the real big ones can take even longer. Plan accordingly. I would definitely return to Hammer and Stain - Mt Juliet for more fun!!!
