First of all, I am a new customer to this office. The overall customer service experience is not…read morewelcoming. I first brought my 8 year old Shih Tzu to see Dr. Diehl in November of 2025 for a routine annual exam. I was charged for a senior blood panel but I wasn't notified of the results. They also did not send any urine sample in with the blood work which was requested on the test results. I did not think anything about it until my I brought my dog back in January for an upset stomach. My dog was curling up like his stomach was hurting and I provided a video to the vet tech which she showed to Dr. Diehl. They took my dog in the back room and then Dr. Diehl came back and told me that she did an ultrasound on him and it appeared that he has a tumor or some type of blood clot in his stomach. She indicated that she could not know for sure what it was but she recommended that I remove his spleen and it would cost $2,500.00. No images or notes in writing just the verbal recommendation. I paid for pain medication that my dog did not use and I left her office in SHOCK! I called back the next day and asked if I could get notes from the office visit showing her recommendations but only received an invoice for the office visit. I called back a second time and told the receptionist that I was getting a second opinion and need the notes from the office visit and I still did not get anything! I went for a second opinion and had to pay over $700 for an ultrasound and X-rays to find out that my dog does not have a tumor and his spleen is fine! He has a slightly enlarged liver and will need to take long term medication. I JUST WANT TO WARN ANY NEW CLIENTS TO ASK QUESTIONS AND REQUEST PROOF. I did not mention that I also took my son's 5 year old Boston Terrier to her in November 2025 for an annual exam on the same day with my Shih Tzu and she told us she needed to have 2 teeth pulled because it was going to infect her root canal, leading to an infection and facial abscesses. ALSO NO PROOF OR IMAGES TO SHOW THAT THE CRACKED TOOTH WAS INFECTED. Dr. Diehl did however show me 2 pictures from her cell phone showing the cracked back teeth. We paid for the surgery but I should have asked for more proof or get another 2nd opinion. THAT WAS A BIG RED FLAG BUT I USUALLY TRUST THE VETS ADVICE UNTIL NOW! BE AWARE AND ASK ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR DOGS HAVE ROUTINE WELLNESS CHECKS WITH NO PRIOR HEALTH ISSUES.

I researched stores of this nature online and was pleased to find the website for Bark Dog Spa. I…read morelive 50 miles away but was going to be in the area so I made a special trip to purchase a birthday cake for my dog. the website boasted an "ever expanding bakery" with treats and birthday cakes. When I entered the store I immediately saw empty shelves and display cases where, purportedly, the bakery items were stocked. I saw no other "boutique items" that were touted on the website. Since the store clearly didn't have what I wanted, I asked the employee if they could recommend somewhere else I could find a dog bakery; "no, sorry, I don't know". I'm willing to accept that a merchant would not want to send business to a competitor, but, this potential customer will not consider returning to this store for anything I the future. I cut people a lot of slack, but when a business owner creates a website to generate business, I find it inexcusable when the website is not maintained with accurate information. I have a large, full coated OES who is groomed professionally once a month; I was considering using the grooming services at Bark Dog Spa, but, this first encounter was so disappointing that I've decided not to do business here.

Mong Mong has been the most important business in my life the last couple of years. The first cut…read morewas not the best and there have been some growing pains figuring out how to maintain my pup's hair between grooms but it was my own fault for not showing her a picture of what I was looking for. I have Mong Mong on speed dial (jk we're only on texting basis) and she has transformed my pup into the cutest dog in the freaking world, not that she wasn't already the cutest dog in the world - she just looks more so now. CONS: Suwanee is a bit far for me so I have to make a whole day of it every time. But with so many restaurants opening up daily, I have no complaints there. There is a bit of a language barrier (I can't say more than a couple words in Korea and prices for a grooming session have gone up over the past couple of years. BUT $80 is not bad for the work she has done for Miffy. And I just show a photo of what I'm looking for and they do a great job imitating what I ask for. STORYTIME: I brought in Miffy for her grooming and she had an embarrassing run in with fleas that I wasn't aware of. I thought it was just her usual cream poodle mix allergies but they calmly called me and told me they found bugs on Miffy and needed to apply flea shampoo to her grooming. Also that they would need to completely clean the entire salon and would have to charge me extra. It was completely understandable and also entirely embarrassing that my pup had found herself some fleas... but I was grateful they found out before it had blown up into a real problem. There were times they would cut her hair WAY shorter than I would ever want for her but they claimed it was due to the knots and tangles. Because let's face it, sometimes I go a few days without brushing her and the rapidly growing fur keeps growing. But after a couple weeks the concern melts away because once the fur grows out, she looks like exactly how I wanted her to look in the photos I showed them. It's amazing! I feel like they go above and beyond to cut my dog's fur and take care of her. There have been times where they have to hold onto her for longer to make sure they groom her appropriately and complete all the services. Just means I have an extra hour of errands I can run, in my opinion! I hope Mong Mong's owner never retires, at least not in my pup's lifetime, because there is no one I trust more with her cut!

The staff may not speak English fluently but they understand well enough and they do an excellent job. I drop her off in the morning and it can take 3 to 4.5 hrs. If you cannot reach them on the phone, you can reach them by text. Although I moved far from Suwanee, I drive all the way to them every month. It gives me piece of mind.
