Lex is a king and has been my barber for the last two years or so. He absolutely crushes it every time. He handles my indecisiveness like a pro and always has me leaving the chair feeling like Mr. Steal Your Girl. Even though Lex has a ton of clients, he never makes you feel rushed. He takes his time, pays attention to the details, and is always accommodating and flexible when life throws an emergency your way. He's been real from day one, and I can't recommend him enough. 5 stars for Sir Salon--been going here since day one. I've been with Tim even before they opened, back when he was cutting on Sunset. Then they opened their first spot on 3rd a few blocks east, and now they're again on 3rd, just a bit west and on the second floor--bigger space, more lowkey, and a much better vibe overall. Just parking can get little busy. The whole team is top tier. Tim is seriously one of the best at what he does--been trusting him with my hair for years. Recently I've been going to Ben every couple weeks and the guy is dialed in. Knows exactly what he's doing and always consistent. This is easily one of the best barbershops in LA. Clean cuts and good energy. Just solid work every time. Also funny thing--you'll randomly see them cutting some celebrity clients here and there. My hair was getting pretty long, and I wanted to try a new barbershop to get me looking right. I had been hearing good things about SIR, and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I enter SIR into my GPS and see it will take me about 15 minutes to get there. Not too bad. Once I get closer to the shop, I see that there is only side street parking available. I'm able to park relatively close so finding a spot wasn't an issue. Now once I enter the shop, I'm greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome. Prior to this, I had called to see if anyone could take me in for a walk-in and they said to stop on by. I sit in the waiting area which has a TV, little arcade game stand, nice seat bench and chairs, and a table and some plants. Place feels very nice to wait, and I end up only waiting 15 minutes. My barber greets me and offers me a drink, to which I politely decline - but appreciate the gesture. I tell him I just want to trim and go a bit short and show him a picture of a wavy two block hair style; think kpop boyband and squidgames haircut. He says sure no problem and throughout the duration of the haircut I can tell the barber has experience. He is using primarily scissors and the occasional clippers. My haircut feels very personalized, and done with regards to my head shape and facial structure. After he finishes up the cut and shows me the results, I did want it to be about half an inch shorter all around and my barber gladfully fulfills my request. My haircut is finished and I'm delighted to how it came out, he finishes me up with a hot towel which relaxes and eases me up for the rest of the day. While the price you pay is premium - and I do wish it was a little more affordable you have to realize where you are and what you're getting. A top notch, professional premium experience. Not much other shops are doing it like this. Definitely hit this place up if you want some good work done, I see they also do coloring and bleaching so many other options here as well. The staff at SIR are phenomenal! Everyone is friendly and are really good at what they do. I've noticed that the team cuts all kinds of hair and are familiar with all kinds of hairstyles. Just got the most freshest fade from Tommy. Never in my life have I gotten a fade as clean as his. Brady, sat across for me and talked sports the entire time I got cut. She really makes you feel at home once you enter. The barbers are wonderful and are experts at what they do. I wasn't surprised when Olivya told me that famous A-list celebrities have gotten haircuts from these guys. I mean, they are the real deal!
