I live by the Gables but decided to drive to the key biscayne one since I heard it was the original one and it was "delicious". Well, from the beginning I realized how over rated this place was, when I saw the size of their "large" pizza and realized how tiny it was. A medium pizza at Pizza Hut is bigger. So we decided to give it a chance, maybe it wasn't very big but it might be delicious. Disappointment number 2. We ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni "large". Honestly an oven made Di Giorgio, or tombstones pizza would've been superb. Heck, even a $1.99 tostinos pizza would've been better. The pepperoni? You'll need a magnifying glass to see it, and the taste of pepperoni? Non-existent. And let's not get started with the cheesy bread, because you could literally buy a loaf of French bread, add cheese, stick it in the oven and it'll be the exact same thing, actually, it'll most likely be better. Crispy, thin crust pizza served piping hot and made just right. The decor is basically the same since my wife went there more than 20 years ago, and could use an upgrade. This was probably my favorite pizza place in town by far ,my children look forward to visiting every summer when we come from California . I have probably been coming for 30 years but I have to say the the attitude of the Manager there is beyond rude just somebody with a chip on there shoulder who always seems to be pissed off at life . There attitude is become a problem it seems they believe they are doing you a favor by serving you pizza . I was there on 7-6-17 seems that they close the restaurant at 10 pm but the dinning area at 9:30 they speak nothing of this on there website and not to mention a got there about 9:35 . Manager with her bad attitude tells me I can't sit I still tried being nice and explaining hey doesn't say anything I'm here took a long drive I'm an old costumer that's been coming for a long time here . She pretty much didn't care . By the time we found a place to eat the pizza it gotten cold. I hope this message finds its way to ownership . Keep in mind good food is only 1/2 the equation management and there attitude is just as important . I will be taking up with American Express for a full refund . Thats because these other locations are also owned entirely or in part by the original owner. Managers and employees at the Palmetto Bay and Fort Myers locations have been trained at this original location in order to meet their standards. Oh, and before I forget... Delivery FAIL. Ordered online at 6:45 on a Saturday night for delivery to hotel. Website said 30 minutes for delivery and I'd get email confirm. Never got the promissed email so I called and after a while of searching they found order and said it would be an hour. At 8 I called for status and they said order was leaving now. Pizza arrived near 8:30 and was warm at best. I called back asking for a credit and manager told me pizza could not be cold because they put them in hot bags. Well I was eating it and it was not hot. They offered to make another pizza and deliver but not doing that at 8:30 at night. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. They are a bunch of idiots there. Ordered for my family and the girl that took my order could not get it right. I asked her to repeat it until she got it right, but when it was delivered, it was wrong. And I had given the driver an over 20% tip for this disaster unknowingly. When I called to tell them their mistake despite my corrections over and over, they insisted that they were right and that I was wrong. I thought the customer was always right? They finally offered to correct the order, but at my expense, not theirs.
