This little place is just outside the Gables and I had heard it was good so we thought we'd give it a try. Firstly we were a little surprised that an 18" pizza was $26, but I guess prices are up everywhere so we went ahead with the phone order for a Hawaiian pizza (New York Style). I specifically asked for "thin and crispy" since I hate a thick crust. It was ready when we went to pick it up and the service was good. Unfortunately the pizza was kind of dry and not flavorful. Definitely needed more sauce, a thinner crust and possibly garlic or spices to help with the taste. Will definitely not be ordering pizza from here again. I've been dying to try this place for a while now. Finally got to come and try some items on the menu. I got a slice of vegetable pizza and some garlic knots with cheese!! Uffff. Amazing! As a local who orders pizza every Friday, this place has been consistently good each time. I've ordered delivery from just about every place in the area and they are by far the tastiest while being reasonably priced. There are cheaper places but they are big food chains and not quality or tasty. The crust is delicious and you can't go wrong with the classic pepperoni, but I like trying their smaller Neapolitan to experiment with different toppings combos. It's so unfortunate that their service is so horrible, because their pizza is so good. There is always an issue. Half the time the pizza arrives cold. You have to call them 20 times, before they answer the phone and put you on hold. One time I ordered delivery and after two hours and several times calling them to get a status of my pizza, they said they didn't have any delivery drivers and if I wanted it I would need to pick up the pizza, which by then was cold. Another time, they confirmed twice the pizza was on its way after a two hour wait. The third time I called, they said they were putting it in the oven. Just badly mismanaged and very little genuine care for its customers. Again it's sad, because their pizza is actually pretty good. But not worth the grief and aggravation on a Friday night when we are suppose to be unwinding with a slice and a glass of wine. Place has gone down hill. First time at this place, I live really close by so I decided to check it out. I must say the service was great, everyone was very polite so I had high hopes for the food. When I got home just by looking at the food I knew it was going to be bad. I ordered spaghetti chicken Parmesan which barely had any sauce and both the pasta and chicken lacked flavor. Also some parts of the spaghetti were hard (I had to open a can of tomato sauce and add salt just to be able to eat it). Fettuccine Alfredo also lacked sauce and the sauce that it did have was like a paste slapped on top. The garlic knots were undercooked and it felt like if I was chewing gum, and allll oil. My wife has been coming by this Pizza House for 1-year and they are everything she said they are. Fantastic Food Quality, very kind and accommodating staff. ( I stoped by today and Carlos was so gracious! Garlic Rolls are fresh and fluffy, excellent mixture on the dough. We wanted to try a new pizza place and saw this place near us so we ordered pizza and wings for pick up. We ordered the Meat Lovers pizza and one order of the chicken wings, drumettes only. The total was $41 and to put it mildly according to my husband it was horrific. The pizza was as if they baked it and then threw the meat on it. We ended up have a slice and tossing the rest. The chicken wings looked like they were boiled and to boot smelled bad, had a couple and threw the rest out. In other words we threw away $41. Having moved into the neighborhood recently, I've been scoping out the best food options and unfortunately I've had limited success. I decided to check Pizza Deli out given the good reviews and proximity to the house (and, of course, who the hell says no to late night PIZZA) and I can honestly say this place hits all the marks. I kept it simple with my first order and stuck to cheese pizza. Their pies only come in one size, which is similar to an extra large and was more than enough food for two. When I walked in to pick it up, the place was empty but the smells coming out of the kitchen were mouthwatering. My pizza wasn't quite yet ready but I was kindly offered some water while I waited and I just have to say that the owners were beyond friendly. Once the pizza came out I seriously couldn't get home any sooner to tear the pie up. I ate in bed, crust crumbs everywhere, and I was in heaven. It was cheesy and the crust was good. The only thing it was missing was more tomato sauce but that's just a personal preference and I now know to ask for extra sauce in the future. Ordered delivery to the children's hospital. Glad they deliver to this place because some others don't. They were very nice on the phone taking my order and took about 45 minutes from then until my order was delivered. Delivery guy was also very nice. I ordered garlic knots, a pizza pie (half margarita and half sausage) and a half order of fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a salad. Everything was fresh and so tasty. It got here still warm. This place is definitely an unknown, and unique pizzeria. I had ordered a lasagna and two slices of pepperoni pizza which came out pretty great. The lasagna tasted a little dry but still quite flavorful with a hefty meatball in the center of each piece of lasagna. Definitely filling, and at a great price too. $8.99 and you can share it with a friend or family member. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good too, but the pepperoni itself was too perfectly cut and managed to maintain the same shape as the rest for it to be organic pepperoni. Possibly frozen pre-packaged pepperoni from the taste and quality of it. Overall, the place is good and definitely has potential. The girl working was watching some tv show at all levels which I'm sure no one wanted to see. No one was there but still. Second. It's damn pricey for some basic stuff. Third. No cheese barely. Fries where stale or really bad or something. 4 people at the house all tried and refused to even have another. Fool me once. But only once. Please see photos. So bad ****. This was not my husband reviewing it was me as he would never eat at this establishment. I went anyways and was just as disappointed as he was. A few bad experiences but still a great spot with NY style pizza, good garlic knots, pastas, etc.

Tried to order from Pizza Deli today. It was a nightmare. Wasted over 45 minutes on this and wanted to let others know so they don't experience same frustration. I first called the restaurant directly to see if they offered curbside pickup- they didn't. I went to their website and attempted to place an order for delivery. When it came time to enter my address, there was a glitch and I was unable to do so. I logged off and went back. I re-entered my entire order again and this time was able to enter my address. I placed the order and it instructed me to call the restaurant to pay by credit card. I called and was told that they didn't have a delivery driver for the next two hours. I mentioned that I was the one who had called previously about pickup. I then googled their restaurant to find delivery options. I placed an order through GrubHub. After completing the order and paying I received a call from the restaurant a couple of minutes later. They said that GrubHub uses restaurant drivers, unlike Postmates and Uber, so they would be unable to deliver my order. The man had the attitude that I should have known this and didn't even apologize. I said I understood and asked that they cancel my order. The man said they couldn't cancel my order, I had to call GrubHub. I googled GrubHub's contact info and called. I spoke to someone who then said he had to put me on hold to call the restaurant to confirm. 3-4 minutes later he returned and said GrubHub would cancel the order. I received an email immediately saying the "restaurant canceled the order." This sparked my curiosity. I asked GrubHub if the restaurant had the capability to cancel the order. I was told yes, and they can also reject orders. They can also go to the app and make adjustments to reflect that they are unable to accomodate delivery orders until a set time. So not only did they not bother making adjustments on their app, they also couldn't be bothered to call GrubHub to correct their error, forcing me to take care of a cancelation. A disorganized establishment with lack of care for customers. read more

Wanted some chicken Wings while on Vacation. We always go to the mom and pop shops so we called for delivery. The wing were delicious and piping hot. I've been to this place a few times now and am ready to review it. I like to visit a place more than once before I take the time to review it because I feel that people who review and trash a place on their first visit are probably just frustrated miserable individuals. Well, back to my review: I have tried the Chorizo Pizza twice and the Philly Steak as well. Both times, the serving were ample and the flavor was consistently excellent. I also enjoyed the garlic knots which are toasted and perfectly seasoned with garlic. Most decadent, is the "Nutella Nuggets" desert - omg.... Delicious... Only one warning, if you're on a diet don't order them because you won't be able to stop after just one bite. The staff is friendly, attentive and on point and the decor is welcoming and has a homie feel to it. Overall, this place gets five stars in my book. I think it will in yours as well. Ok where do I start. First of all my daughters had told me that this place was great when it opened but now it was terrible and giving the benefit of the doubt I went. Well the appetizers chicken wings horrible and the meatballs were acceptable except for the not enough sauce and the cheese stuck to the bottom. Anyhow I ordered a Hawaiian calzone and it was disgusting to say the least the cheese was cold stale and so were the pineapples the only thing that was hot was the outside.
