Grilled cheese with tomato bisque and jam so delicious

The food is awesome here great service nice establishment definitely will be back when I'm back in Raleigh.

Seasonal Latte (Peppermint Bark) and Trainwreck Breakfast Bowl
Shamara H.

Top of the morning Sir Walter! On a staycation in the city and I didn't want the buffet offered at hotel. So if you are looking for a close breakfast option, this is it. Love that they offer seasonal coffee drinks. The Peppermint Bark Latte hit the spot. They also offer a wide array of coffee and tea options. The Trainwrek Breakfast Bowl portion wise is worth the price but the taste was just meh! I should've ordered one of the items suggested by the server (Breakfast Street Tacos and Breakfast Sandwich). I Blame myself. Servers were friendly and helpful. Cocktails are available at 9 am.

Stopped in for a quick drink after dinner. Mateo the bartender was really friendly! Great lavender lemon drop!

Really great lattes and avocado toast, but very expensive. Nearly $50 for two people for breakfast. Service was quick.

Incredible brunch spot. My favorite in Raleigh, to be honest. I love all the options they have. No…read morematter if you're feeling sweet or savory, they have tons of options for both. There's so many things on the menu that I still want to try. When we first got to the restaurant we were interested in sitting outside but the host told us the spot that would fit us wasn't available or in the section. However, she went out of her way to talk to her manager and they accommodated us. Off to a great start service wise! That great service continued throughout our meal. Our waiter was super attentive and everything was brought out really quickly. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, both inside and out. It's a very classy spot; very upscale mid-century. I had the stuffed French toast crepe with berries added (egg battered crepe dusted with a cinnamon spice blend, filled with cheesecake custard, topped with maple syrup and house-made whipped cream). Phenomenal. I'm still thinking about that crepe a few weeks later now...I also ordered the Strawberry Citrus Smash (tangerine ginger iced tea, strawberry syrup, lime juice, served iced). Also delicious and not overly sweet. Everything here is great. I highly recommend checking it out. My oneeeee issue is that they don't take reservations. I'm sorry but I don't want to wait around for over an hour to get a table for brunch on the weekend. It's really unfortunate because I've been here with friends before and we've had to leave to go to another restaurant because of such a long wait time. The only reason I was able to try this place after that was because I went during a weekday when family was in town visiting. Many of my friends have jobs that aren't very flexible and busy family lives, so the weekends are the best times to go; but at the same time they don't have a lot of time to spare to waiting. PRESS if you see this - I highly recommend that you reconsider your reservation policy, at least for the weekends!

Anytime we want late night chicken, we can't find a solid place that's close by we have to drive 25-30min. We can only eat rise in the morning. It's an amazing breakfast don't get me wrong, but we really think the Cary Morrisville area needs a solid late night chicken spot. All of us have to drive to downtown Raleigh or to chapel hill for canes or 25/30min for Popeyes! You guys have better items across the board and better pricing..... Let me know if you need help finding employees! My LinkedIn is poppin sometimes and I'd love to help your team make more money. Only people that compete quality wise are Grill&go and Meat&bite but very far drive from Morrisville Thanks for my Ted talk! Oh yeah order anything, it'll be amazing. This time I went with a custom BYO - Bacon & Egg White Biscuit, extra bacon and added a side of grape jelly for balance. Biscuit was baked to perfection, nice texture, and the egg white was my splash of health consciousness. On a prior visit I had the Sweet Country Blues biscuit which was very good as well. I enjoy the open kitchen vibe that really gives it the bakery ambience. I recommend placing your order online in advance for pickup. The pickup process is convenient using your name to unlock the box containing your order.

This morning, I walked in and saw not one familiar face there, and I've come to learn all the staff walked out simultaneously weeks ago. After getting to know many of the staff over the years of frequenting there, anything to make every staff member walk out at the same time has to be big enough to leave a sour taste in your mouth. Am truly sad to see such a Raleigh staple not see the value in the community their staff created. Cheers to Joe, Brennan, Brett, amber, and all of the others past a present (shout out Tim and Casey and Jackie!) for their place in our lives over all of these years! If you are looking for a coffee nearby, jubala (pendo), black & white (videri), heirloom are all great options (and sir Walter coffee and 42 & Lawrence are decent and close)

We were seated immediately by the host, Jaimie, who greeted us with such kindness and professionalism. She made a great first impression. Our server, Ashley, was absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond from start to finish. While we were waiting for our food, she checked on our table twice to make sure we had everything we needed. She even stopped to ask how everything was when I was walking back from the restroom, which really showed how attentive she was. Speaking of the restroom...it was spotless and fully stocked, which I always appreciate. We ordered at 9:55 a.m. and our food arrived at 10:14 a.m., so the service was quick. As for the food, there were a few things that could be improved. The grits were a little underdone, the eggs were runnier than expected even though I requested soft scrambled, the edges of the pancake were a bit hard, almost as if it had been sitting on the grill for a while, and the bacon was very thin and had more of a pre cooked, buffet style texture. Even with those minor issues, the outstanding service made the entire experience enjoyable. Ashley truly turned a good breakfast into a great experience with her genuine care and attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend Big Ed's, and I'm happy to give it five stars because exceptional service deserves to be recognized. Ashley is a true asset to the restaurant..I hope she's recognized for how amazing she is. We'll definitely be back! We will be back for more Ashley awesomeness!
