Breakfast plate and brewed coffee (forgive as I ate half before remembering to take a photo)
    Brooke K.

I don't know where to begin! A freezing, snowy morning drew me into this warm cozy little coffee shop, and WOW what a find! Opening the door, I was immediately hit with the aroma of fresh roasting coffee while looking to my right I saw the roaster humming as it's master worked the beans just so. The menu simple, and to the point. Clean ingredients, fresh roasted coffee, pastries, breakfast items, sandwiches and desserts. They have tea options too for those crazy people who don't drink coffee. I started with a latte, was blown away by their perfect latte art. The smoothness of the fresh, roasted bean and the warmth of a cinnamon sprinkle melted the ice from me. I splurged and went back for the breakfast plate and just a cup of their drip coffee - wise choice! To heck with Starbucks, do yourself a favor and come to Jubala Coffee you will be glad you did!

Great coffee and their biscuits are incredible! I tried the sausage egg and cheese breakfast biscuit and I loved it. The biscuit was soft and fresh and it was a perfectly filling sandwich. My vanilla draft latte was also creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. It was simple to order and grab a table to eat. The space inside is good to work in, and there are several tables.

I have been visiting a few of my favorite places with my Mom in town and since a she's a coffee lover, I had to bring her here. She absolutely loved it! She tried a Maple Cream Coffee and raved about how creamy, smooth, and fresh it was. I had a hot latte with Smoked Sea Salt Caramel flavor this time and we both shared my highly recommended turkey avocado. My latte, yet again, was *Muah* amazing! We sat in the shop this time and service was pretty quick which is always a plus because we were READY for this experience. Given the day and time, I wasn't too surprised at the quiet crowd, but it was just what we needed. I'm just happy my Mom enjoyed it as much as I did

Perfectly placed in North Hills, this Jubala location is great for a post workout coffee or pre shopping biscuit. I went with a friend today after our workout. The line was long but quick. After I ordered it only took about 5 min for them to get my biscuit and coffee out to me. Same for my friend. As always the ham, egg, and pimento cheese biscuit was delightful. A little on the salty side, it pairs well with the sweetness of the iced caramel latte I ordered. An additional plus, there is plenty of seating inside and out.

I kept seeing this coffee place on social media in this morning. I decided I must visit. The music was great and the noise levels were extremely manageable. I look forward to visiting again, and I'll be bringing my laptop this time. The flavor profile on my coffee was exquisite. I look forward to trying the teas on my next visit.

Had a yogurt bowl simple and classic can't go wrong. I love the free espresso friday, so of course I had to grab one. I just wish there was all day breakfast option.

We popped in after the big Oak City Run Club on Saturday! It was busy but they were able to keep the flow of people moving quickly. They have such a prime location! I ordered the biscuit sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. The biscuit was fluffy and a little heavy, but yummy! I did end up taking the sausage out because it was pretty rubbery, but the egg, cheese, and biscuit combo was amazing! They had a large selection of kombuchas and natural sodas - the blueberry kombucha was so refreshing! Friendly, friendly staff! Will definitely return!

The atmosphere is absolutely lovely. Seating inside and out. Lots of places to do remote work on the computer. Workers are efficient and friendly. The wildflower biscuit was buttery and would def get again.

Bacon, egg, cheese biscuit with avocado and the salted caramel latte
    Alexis B.

I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and added avocado to it with the salted caramel latte. This was literally the BEST biscuit I've ever had! It was soft, a little sweet, and very flavorful. The latte was okay, but I'll be back for that biscuit!

Very interesting store in the middle of North Hills Midtown area. The store definitely had an Interrior designer and the outside seating on the sidewalk overlooks the Midtown Park. Staff seams very polite and friendly. The coffee comes out quick. The coffee products are great. They also have sparkling water, United sodas, Mexican Coca-Cola. They stop serving food at 4 pm, but stay open until 8 pm.

Clever concept, popular place, great area. Better with food than coffee. Best to order in to stay, not a large area to wait for coffee.

Had a quick meetup here and this place was so peaceful and cute! When we walked in there was a ton of people. We ordered our drinks and sandwich and grabbed the table. Our order was ready in no time and everything was great. The staff was sweet and answered my questions. I love how they serve the tea in a miniature tea kettle! I would return to try more of their menu items like the waffle.

Coffee is in me! Lovely place to finish the afternoon on Sunday! Coffee was great and service was lovely. Seems a good place to work as well. Many people with their computers. Come, check it out! Happy coffee time!

Iris Coffee Lab is where you bring the friend who can tell you the origin of a bean after one sip,…read morewho gets excited about extraction methods and tasting notes, and who genuinely believes coffee deserves the same reverence as a fine bottle of wine. Iris isn't trying to be trendy: it is unapologetically devoted to the craft. The interior reflects that philosophy. A restrained palette of white, charcoal, and soft gray keeps distractions to a minimum, allowing every cup to remain the focal point. It's clean, modern, and intentionally understated. If you're someone who typically reaches for cream and sugar, I'd encourage you to order at least one cup black. Iris sources and roasts exceptional coffee, and tasting it without distractions is the best way to appreciate the nuance and balance that have earned the café such a devoted following. That said, the seasonal menu is every bit as thoughtful. On this visit, I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte, a drink layered with tropical sweetness, creamy matcha, and just enough complexity to keep each sip interesting. The final few sips, where all of the flavors settled together, were unexpectedly my favorite part. My brother-in-law chose Iris's signature blueberry-forward latte, while my niece ordered the house-made chai. Before she'd even finished half the cup, she looked up and declared, "This is the best chai I've ever had." Her father, after trying it himself, agreed without hesitation. The breakfast menu compliments the beverage program well, offering thoughtfully prepared dishes that feel every bit as intentional as the drinks. Like many destination coffee shops, Iris tends to attract people who settle in for a while. Laptops are open across nearly every table, conversations are minimal, and the room has the focused energy of a shared studio rather than a bustling café. Because of the open design, voices travel easily, making it a better place for quiet work than lively catch-ups. The café is meticulously maintained, including spotless restrooms that reflect the same attention to detail found throughout the space. Parking can require a bit of patience, though I've almost always managed to find a spot without too much trouble. Iris Coffee Lab isn't trying to appeal to everyone, and that's exactly what makes it special. It's a café for people who care about coffee, how it's sourced, brewed, and experienced. In a city with no shortage of coffee shops, Iris has carved out a distinct identity by putting craftsmanship ahead of trends, creating a destination that's as much about curiosity as it is about caffeine.

I ordered the summer crumble latte (espresso, milk of choice, blueberry, house made oat crumble distillation, subtle lemon coconut infusion, oat tincture, lemon rind garnish) which was excellent and tasted like a bowl of cereal milk. I noticed several people ordering matcha which also may be excellent and something I'll have to try next time. A Truly Artisanal Bakery…read more I rarely leave reviews on yelp anymore, but this bakery is so impressive, it inspired me to type this down. I'm from the Bay Area and loved going to all kinds of bakery when I travel. I did not have much expectations when I came to Raleigh. I tried Paul and Jack and couple other bakeries, they were all good, but not impressive. The first thing I noticed was their Mill Room, and second I noticed that they have 100 score on hygiene. Not that I care about the score that much but still impressive. Then We got a bunch of pastries, the shortbread was the first one we tried and wow, it was so simple yet so flavorful, truly malted tasting shortbread, it has so much depth in taste. Then I had a had a ham and cheese croissant, it was on the salty side but I kept eating it when I'm not even hungry. The true winner though, is the plain croissant I got which traveled with me for 72 hours back home. I got it out of my bag, slightly flattened by all my stuff, I expect it to taste flat and meh. I put it in the oven for 6 minutes and it turned out to be the best croissant I've had. It was flaky, soft and soo flavorful. Now I cannot stop thinking about it. Lastly, I want to say that with so many pop ups, new bakeries coming up in different cities, often times we were chasing that unique flavors, that special toppings on croissants, but Boulted Bread stayed true to bread, and perfected the craft without focusing on "exotic" or "special" flavors. I truly respect this.
