Amazing cocktails and metal straws. Check out the vibe now but also trust that it will still be the vibe when you come here in 2 months

We were greeted almost immediately and presented with drink menus. Our server answered questions about what the drinks tasted like to help us decide as well. The drinks were VERY good and reasonably priced while not cheap, I didn't feel gouged either. This will definitely be on the return list on our next trip to Boulder.

The inside is a little bit divey in feel but more upscale than your typical dive bar. They had tons of seating, and I saw next to a fireplace because it looked cozy (it was). The server was quick to take my order even though it was pretty busy in there (was rush weekend I think for the university?). I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

Went here with a group of friends and immediately understood why people love this place. River and…read moreWoods has that very specific cozy Boulder atmosphere that somehow feels both rustic and intimate without trying too hard. The whole space feels warm and relaxed in a way that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Food was genuinely very good across the board and the service struck that perfect balance of being attentive without constantly interrupting the table or hovering over conversations. I'd especially recommend it for small groups or date nights because it manages to feel social without getting overwhelmingly loud. Parking is mostly street parking, but we didn't have too much trouble finding a spot nearby.

I think the best thing about River and Woods is the interior and exterior decoration. It is very clear that a lot of thought and time was put into the atmosphere here. From the cute door knocker to the bathroom wallpaper, the theme is well-executed. The food was a bit disappointing. The blue oyster mushroom appetizer was extremely salty. I thought it was just me but the rest of the table agreed as well. My trout was well-cooked and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The chicken was also salty although cooked well. I did not try the burger but I was told it was salty as well. The prices of all the items were quite high for what I thought was presented. Service was good and thankfully our waters were filled frequently for how much water we were drinking due to the high salt content.

This gem, located in the old Broker Inn, recently opened, and what a find!…read moreThe space is huge, and they did a great job renovating it with plenty of smaller seating areas, making it feel inviting and creating more intimate spots. It's a really fun place to visit, and you can even play pool or ping pong while enjoying delicious craft cocktails and tasty food. My friend and I went for Happy Hour, and we had a blast! The service was very attentive and friendly; the waiter's and bartender's recommendations were great, and the food was not only beautifully presented, but also extremely tasty. They will open the outdoor pool with a bar and seating area next to it this summer, and I can't wait! In the meantime, I'll definitively go back!

The inside is really cute and I love the overall vibe of the place. We were dressed for dinner, so we weren't looking to swim, but the pool looked fun for a hot day. I ordered the Banana Boulevardier and it was delicious. After that I ordered a daiquiri (one of my go-to drinks) and it was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. The bartenders were all super nice and we enjoyed chatting with them. We weren't there to eat, but the food looked good. I would love to come back and order off of the Happy Hour menu. I couldn't find the happy hour times anywhere online, but they are 3-6 and 8-close every day.
