Well this is a fun little place. A Tiki Bar in Boulder made for a great after event spot. Themed drinks and decor are always a win with me. Our server took great care with us and checked on us frequently, which was very much appreciated. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Just know that inside seating is dimly lit. Seating is "family-style" so be ready to sit with some new friends you meet. While I did not try any of the drinks or food, those I was with stated a great "foodie" and drink experience. Certain drinks come served in super fun tiki glasses! The drinks were extremely well priced for Boulder! I look forward to going back and giving the food and drink a try. Jungle is an awesome tiki bar in the heart of Boulder. It's tucked away a stone's throw from Pearl Street. I've been here a few times over the last couple years, and it's become a go-to for me in the area. I'm a sucker for a good Mai Tai. And boy oh boy, they make a great one here. Definitely ones of the standouts on the classic cocktail menu. Flip the menu around and you'll find unique original drinks. For the classics, stick with Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Saturn, or Piña Colada. We came here after an event where there was appetizers, so we didn't want to commit to entrées. Jungle has a nice selection of tropical appetizers, burgers, chicken tenders, fish tacos, etc. This was my first time eating here. We ordered the ceviche and nachos. Ceviche was very sweet due to the passion fruit (actually way too sweet) but I appreciated the execution of the shrimp, lime, and other ingredients. The nachos were solid with a white queso. A fancier/island take on a bar staple. Wouldn't run back for either personally, just my preference! We sat on the patio and service was prompt and friendly. I would like to sit inside one day, keep in mind close to half the seating is outside the actual bar. But on a beautiful night in Boulder, it's a great place to be. Definitely recommend Jungle. Jungle is a tiki bar in Boulder, downtown just off Pearl. I've walked by it and it's always busy with customers far younger than I am. But recently I ran into some longtime friends my age and they go there often for really good deals at happy hour on very fun drinks. I looked into the menu and website and discovered they could make any drink alcohol free yet with the flavor so similar using a brand of herbal designed flavored substitutes. I have a limitation on true alcoholic content due to a medication for a chronic illness as do many other people around town and the world. This substitute led to a very amazing and fun drink that looks just like the "real deal." My drink was a "Painkiller" with nutmeg on top. And tropical flavors through out, orange, pineapple juice, coconut milk on pebble ice which added a nice look and feel. I'd definitely do some of these drinks again. The happy hour food was a real deal in size but I'd rather have had a salad or some of the small plate offerings. If you are looking for a large plain burger and fries that are mundane but ample for the price, go for that but next time I will do the small plates. May cost a little more but raise the food quality to the drinks. Staff was efficient and very friendly and the place filled up fast as soon as they opened. They cater to large groups as we had the only table for two, the only one I saw. But a nice central bar with all high top seating can accommodate many more in single or small groups. I am rather challenged by size to get into these seats. Next time we will go early again or with a larger group for a larger table. I am giving them a bonus star for such great and unique drinks tonight. read more

Stopped off at Jungle for a beverage after an event. Jungle serves up plenty of specialty cocktails in fun tiki glasses, but don't try to take one, or you will be charged. A group and I stopped in to Jungle after looking for a tiki bar in Boulder with a nice aesthetic, good drinks, and a good atmosphere for talking. Jungle fortunately hit all those marks! First off, the drinks were so good! We got the Thai Iced Tea, Mr. Plumtastic, and the Martiki. All of those drinks were so well-made. I especially enjoyed the Thai Iced Tea. It had a really good balance of Thai Tea flavor and rum. The drinks were strong but not overly so. Perfect. You can also buy some of the mugs to take home. Fun! Service was top notch. From the hostess to the server, everyone was very helpful and very nice. Great job staff! The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. We may have been the oldest couple in Jungle but the service, ambiance, and food was fabulous, so it didn't matter. Jungle always has interesting cocktails - and my husband and I always enjoy trying new flavors. The burgers are the best in town I think and always cooked perfectly. We have also tried the shrimp skewers which were a great appetizer. The chicken sandwich is a deal in Tuesday nights and very tasty. We stopped here for a pre-dinner drink on a Friday night and they were packed inside (bummer - looked so cute in there!) but they had a great patio spot right out front we were able to snag. The patio table setup isn't comfy for an extended period: it's a barrel with stool chairs, so is more of a quick post-up spot. They have an awesome list with very reasonable tiki cocktail prices: $12-16. We tried the: *Dijon Sanders with Oaxacan rum, mustard and citrus *Glacier Freeze with Jamaican rum and lychee *Cornstar with mezcal - lit on fire All the drinks that came out were in kitschy cups and so nostalgic and fun! We were served by the hostess, and she gave some great recommendations for cocktails! Outstanding experience. The reception and service were beyond expectation. The drinks are fantastic. I had the jungle bird cocktail on my waitresses recommendation. The burgers are "smash burger" style which I loved. I had the poblano burger and highly recommend it. The flavors were layered and just perfect. The fires are unbelievable. I visited Jungle on a whim while visiting Pearl St. as a solo traveler. I came in for a light dinner, ordering the fish tacos as my meal. This meal includes two small fish tacos, which a like on the side and pickled onions. You get the option of either corn or flour tortillas.. I went with corn. While being a very small portion, they were very reasonably priced ($8) and delicious. I got two cocktails while there as well. First I got the "Saturn", a gin based fruity cocktail. This was very light, sweet, and refreshing. Second I got the mango daiquiri (frozen). This was surprisingly very "real" tasting opposed to being loaded with sugar and artificial flavoring. In fact, it might have been my favorite tropical frozen cocktail I've had!! Not to mention both cocktails were very aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere in here was wonderful, filled with fun jungle (hence the name) art and decor, lighting, and decent music. While it is small inside, it doesn't feel cramped. The highlight of this visit for me was the incredible service. The bar staff was very kind and fun, which made my experience as a solo traveler very welcoming and exciting. As soon as my water was empty, staff came over and filled it immediately. All staff were smiling and courteous. In all, I highly recommend Jungle! While it may fit the tourist vibe.. it's still a decent place worth a try. read more

Awesome experience again! Went during happy hour time on a Thursday and it was amazing! For the first time it wasn't crowded and loud like times when you go on a Friday or weekend night. Awesome ambiance and even better service! We tried the food for the first time and I was blown away! The jungle burger is amazing! I loved it! The burger meat was juicy and flavorful. The toppings are also awesome! I love the onion ring. I wish the pineapple was in a ring instead of chunks because they kept falling out but besides that the burger was perfect. The Caribbean fries were awesome! So crispy and we're perfectly seasoned. I also enjoyed the new drink menu and had the spill the tea! The flavors were really well balanced and if you like more floral sweeter drinks you'll like this one. I love the decor and especially the cute cups. I was excited to see that they have Seedlip nonalcoholic spirit for those that still want a cocktail without the alcohol. I ordered the I'll Show Chu Mine which was a Mai Tai with Soju. It came in a super cute ramen mug with a fortune cookie topper. All the food was great too! I ordered a chicken sandwich and my partner got a jungle burger which came with pineapple. This, in my opinion, is the best spot on Pearl for cocktails & a burger. The drinks are fun, strong, & delicious, not to mention their happy hour prices! Every staff member I've met has been lovely & they seem to have great recommendations to your taste as well. My favorite was the juego if you want something with a little kick - and reverse mermaid if you want a yummy cocktail in a fun glass. These are some of the best tiki cocktails I've had in Colorado - and the vibe is nice and laid back. Would highly recommend! Food: We only had a side of curried french fries but that was enough to get our mouth watering. Delicious ! Definitely want to come back for some more food. We planned a trip to Boulder for my sister's birthday to see a band play at Upslope Brewing Co later in the evening. Jungle was an awesome addition to our celebratory day! Their craft cocktail program was impressive to say the least. Every glass and drink told a story and played homage to its flavors. If you like rum this is a must-visit spot. For food I enjoyed their cheeseburger on a Hawaiian bun and their Carribbean fries, which were both delicious. The fries were well seasoned and came with a semi-sweet and slightly spicy aioli that was unique and flavorful. The service was fast, friendly and checked in on us regularly to order new drinks and refilled our waters as we were parched from hiking. My only feedback would be that it can be hit or miss as to whether or not they're actually open when you show up. It's a popular spot to rent out for events (for great reason!) but I haven't seen them post about it on their website or GoogleMaps so we've arrived maybe 3-4 times and it's been closed for a private event. Our table of 6 had interactions with 3 or 4 different service folks and they were all wonderfully friendly and helpful. That doesn't just happen. Kudos to ownership and management for establishing a positive culture for your staff that clearly and directly translates to the customers. I sent a drink back - more because I didn't like it than they made it poorly, which they did not. With no questions asked, they changed it for me. The food was very good - chicken sandwiches with Caribbean fries and a jungle salad. The drinks are great and the service made me glad I spent my Monday evening @ the Jungle. Finally made it in for some happy hour fun with friends. While we were a little sad to miss out on the plush community seating we were happy to be seated at a table immediately. Our drinks were beautiful and delicious though slightly smaller than what I've experienced at other tiki bars. I had the High Off the Indo, my gal pal had a pungent Pina Colada, and my guy pal had an Iron Ranger. The High Off the Indo sure was a unique flavor experience though I was a bit sad that after a couple of sips I was left with a lot of ice. I'll definitely try another cocktail the next go round. The curried yam fries were out of this world amazing. Cooked to perfection with each bite being more delightful than the last. We had two orders of them which says a lot because I generally avoid yams/sweet potatoes no matter how they are prepared. The jerk chicken was flavorful and moist while the coconut rice was a bit lacking in the flavor department. The music was loud as were the voices of fellow patrons making it very difficult for my friends and I to hear each other. While the small metal tables and chairs were certainly cute, they were not so comfortable leading us to move on to another establishment for the next round of drinks.
