WASHINGTON PACIFIC EYE ASSOCIATES @ KIRKLAND…read more Parking here can be a little difficult since it's mostly street parking. Just make sure you find a spot that allows two-hour parking rather than 30 minutes. I'd recommend parking on the left side near Jimmy John's or the Overlake Clinic, there's a good amount of street parking on both sides of the road in that area. I came in around 10 AM and the staff were extremely friendly. They asked about my day and how my morning was, which I really appreciated. I signed a couple of papers to get started and provided my insurance information, my mom is also on the insurance, so it was really nice that they already had a primary provider on file. I was quickly taken into a room and completed a few exams. I also received a free wellness exam since my mom is a current member, which was a huge plus. One thing I really liked about this place is that they don't do the air puff test that most eye doctors use. Usually there's a blue light you stare at and a puff of air that can irritate your eyes, so I was preparing myself for that. I was really happy they didn't do that here. Everything felt very subtle, comfortable, and smooth throughout the exam. The doctor was very kind and thorough. I did end up needing glasses, especially for long-distance driving, and the whole process of getting that figured out was quick and easy. I was able to choose my frames right after, and it was a very seamless experience. My total came out to around $100, and my insurance covered a large portion of it. My glasses should be ready within the next two weeks. Overall, I really loved this place. The staff are incredibly friendly, the process was easy, and the care was great. I would definitely recommend stopping by and I would absolutely come back again.

Our son's contact lens fitting appointment was canceled without my authorization. I never asked to cancel--if I had, I would not have rearranged my entire family's schedule for this visit. We wasted an entire day only to arrive and find out the appointment was cancelled. To make matters worse, when we got to the office, the person scheduled to see was sitting at the front desk the entire time as my husband and son waited. This shows that our time slot was open and could have been easily used, with zero valid reason for turning us away. Management was completely unprofessional throughout. Not only did nobody apologize to us in person, but no real effort was made to accommodate our son, and nobody took accountability for the staff's mistakes. Now, because of this incompetence, I have to take more time off work, my son has to miss more school, and our family has to bear the burden of their disorganization. Today's experience ruined all of my previous positive experiences with this clinic. As much as I hate the thought of changing eye clinics for my entire family, I do not want to interact with them again. If you value your time, your sanity, or your family's well-being, I suggest you go anywhere else. This place is the perfect example of how a clinic should NOT be run.

Please do not go to this "doctor."…read more I almost never post google reviews but felt compelled to warn anyone considering putting their eyes (windows to the soul) in the hands of this man to BEWARE. He disfigured my eyes and consequently crushed my soul. While he is jovial and seems confident don't be fooled. He ruined my beautiful eyes. All I wanted was a slight refresh. Nothing more. I have spent over a year and half and tens of thousands of dollars to try and simply return to baseline. I went in for a simple lower blepharoplasty and he also suggested a soof lift and a brow pexy. Both of which were absolutely worthless and I've been told by various occuplastic surgeons I've consulted with since that both are rarely performed anymore because they don't produce results and aren't worth the investment. If only a baseline unimproved snake oil result was my biggest issue. I would be thrilled actually. Unfortunately my new reality was not even close to baseline. While I was on the operating table Dr Laukitis took it upon himself to perform an upper blepharoplasty (later stating that he "didn't charge me for it" - what surgeon would ever say that) without my consent. I DIDN'T WANT AN UPPER BLEPHROPLASTY NOR WAS IT LISTED AS A PROCEDURE FOR WHICH I SIGNED MY CONSENT TO PERFORM. So he removed skin that I didn't want removed and "fixed" a scar that wasn't ever there leaving me with an unsightly scar. Horrid. In reality it had to have been a slip up that he attempted to cover up by the scar nonsense. All of the surgeons (5 of the top in Seattle including his well respected business partner) were puzzled and couldn't figure out how such a scar could be created and why this oddly angled cut would've been done under any circumstance. They all read the surgical report and were the ones to tell me that he had indeed performed skin removal. Wow. The feeling of being taken advantage of while under anesthesia was overwhelmingly violating. So we have the horrid scar but that wasn't the end of it. He completely botched the corners of my eyes. They went from lovely normally angled corners to having a rounded and sad, dog like, appearance. He mutalated my natural canthal tilt and I was left with mild scleral show, downturned and webbed corners. Good times. He constantly said it was "immature wounding" whatever that means and that it would likely settle. All of the other surgeons said that it had almost zero chance of settling as gravity pulls down not up. It was botched and that's the facts. When I asked him point blank why he fixed a scar that wasn't previously visible he didn't remember that he used that excuse and said oh that must be from the entry point for brow pexy. I pulled up the email thread which stated that he had previously said it was a "scar revision" and then he seemed to half remember and claimed that I had had a scar from perhaps a previous "bug bite!?!" At this point I remain speechless and have resided to the reality that I will never know what really happened or why. Everyone makes mistakes or misjudgments (be it not ideal when it's someone working in your face) but if you do then OWN IT. DON'T MAKE THE PATIENT FEEL LIKE THEY'VE DONE SOMETHING WRONG. Unacceptable. Consequently I am left with no choice but to surgically attempt to return my eyes back to what they originally were. Which I thought had little chance of actually doing but through the hands of the best surgeon in Seattle I'm likely as close to baseline as I will ever be and have my eyes back. I could've had a medical malpractice suit and won but instead opted for a full refund - So I was financially refunded but suffered a massive amount of emotional trauma and duress. Like life altering. Your face is a huge deal. Your eyes might even be a bigger deal. Do not risk having your naturally beautiful features being destroyed by naively trusting this man.

I am struggling with the outcome of my eyelid surgery still after 2.5 months, with constant pain,…read morebumpy skin in the corner, constant tear flow and blurred vision in one eye. something obviously went very wrong during the procedure on my right eye, as it has been problematic ever since but the left one is fine. I was told I could resume work within 1 week after the surgery, but I am still unable to after 2 months. When I explained over and over for weeks that I am having issues on the computer, causing pain, constant tearing and blurriness in my right eye to the point where I can't perform my job duties, I was told I represent less than 1% of his patients that "take longer to heal". Yet he refused to sign for short term disability to protect my job so I can take time to heal because he doesn't want to deal with the state. I am at a total loss, and feel completely dismissed. I had high hopes for a great outcome, as I was assured by Dr. Laukaitis that would be the case. it really feels like all he cares about is getting paid and moving on to the next, with no compassion for his patients' well being after he performs the procedure.
