Many options, the appetizers which are available are various, we chose the onion rings - these are not to be missed. The batter is amazingly crunchy and the taste of these rings is awesome - I haven't seen better fried in a long time. I am thinking many might miss the appetizers since the salad bar is available, but don't miss these onion rings! I almost forgot the brown bread brought out as an appetizer as they prepare your entree - also very tasty. The entrees we selected arrived piping hot, we chose a cut of prime rib, and this looked like it was from a New York steak house. Extremely appealing with au jus available, although the meat was fork tender without it. My Monte Cristo was amazing, I have not had one in quite a while, and the crispy breading on this dish was outstanding! Even my fries were hot and crispy! This was certainly an outstanding dinner, and immensely enjoyed! We were too full for dessert, so we ordered a slice of their famous chocolate cake for dessert, and found frosting and tiny cups of additional toppings in our to-go bag. I have pretty high standards for Greek/Mediterranean food, and it just doesn't stand out anymore. The pita has been dry, although the hummus is still solid. The platters are fine overall, but nothing particularly memorable. Service has also been a bit underwhelming recently compared to past visits. That said, the atmosphere is still a highlight. The space feels very authentic with all the decor, and the belly dancers are always a fun touch. The patio is also nice if you're able to sit outside. Parking can be a little tight in their lot, but there's a ramp nearby which makes it easier.

We were very surprised on our latest visit on what might be viewed as a trivial thing. We both got a cocktail before dinner. I had an Old Fashioned and she had a Negroni. They both came with large ice cubes. (No surprise there.) What WAS the surprise was that the bill came with a $1 upcharge for the large cube in the Negroni, BUT NOT THE OLD FASHIONED! We've never seen an upcharge for a large ice cube! Ever! My wife emailed the GM after the fact, and the manager explained that the Old Fashioned is traditionally served with a large ice cube. The server should have asked my wife if she wanted a large ice cube with her Negroni. Hazelwood isn't a particularly cheap outing. They do appear to be nickel-and-diming in this situation.
