Clive's is one of my favorite spots in Burnsville!!! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of indoor seating with a large bar in addition to high tops, booths, and tables. There is also a smaller outdoor patio. They do have a decent size parking lot but it can fill up during peak hours. The menu is big but I've liked everything I've tried. My favorite is the Hot Club Melt with a side of tater tots. They have pull tabs and free popcorn... what's not to love?! The only annoyance at the moment is that construction in the area has shut down the bridge on Burnsville Parkway going over 35W, which can make it a little more difficult to get to if that's your normal exit/ route.

Despite having to park near the back of the lot we grabbed a table right away. Service was attentive and quick. Ordered the honey crisp chicken melt without tomato. It's slightly elevated bar food. The tots were good with the sour cream, but a little salty overall. We were left to yap for as long as we wanted without feeling like we were taking a table or being pushed out. For what was available in the area, we were all able to get something we wanted and were happy with at Clive's. We also plan to visit again for trivia night.

Oh so tastey after a morning of shopping!

The best Mexican corn dip and mojito ever. I could eat that for a meal. The service was good and it was quite enough to talk.

I would recommend dining in so you get to experience it right out of the fryer. The best part of the meal was definitely the breading on the fish. It was crispy and airy with each bite and the coating was evenly distributed. They do give you an option for standard fries or waffle, so I thought I would try out the waffle. I would go with standard fries next time since I do not think that the waffle made that much of a difference. The side of coleslaw was good. No notes.

We had the clams, waffle fries, regular fries, cod, and halibut. I basically have no complaints about anything. We also had the tartar sauce and MN sauce. If I were to go again, I would just get the waffle fries. They are better than the regular fries. The MN sauce was a nice change in flavor, but the real star of the show is the tartar sauce, and that is what we used the most. The fish was great. The batter was amazing and it wasn't overly battered. My wife and I both agreed that the halibut is probably not worth the extra cost. When we go again, we will likely just get cod, or maybe walleye. Service was nice. It seems to be a family-owned restaurant and they seem to run it well. Overall, this is really just an amazing place. It is very expensive, but I was expecting that for fish so I was mentally prepared. I believe we spent about $50 for everything, which is definitely a pretty penny, but again we were prepared and knew the halibut was a premium. I would highly recommend checking them out. I am planning to go back!

The bar was nearly empty, there were maybe 5 people in the bar/restaurant when we arrived. I don't think it was slow on the bartenders part as much as it was our server. A couple Guinness, a black and tan and a hot cider later, we waited to order food. While eating we decided we didn't want to wait any longer for our server so we went to the bar to ask for waters, our drinks long gone at this point. We also got up to get our own ketchup. Burger was fine but mostly flavorless. Cottage pie was fine, had I not been starving I likely wouldn't have eaten as much as I did. The food was just OK, nothing memorable or spectacular about it. Prices were pretty high for what it was, $17 for a cheeseburger is pretty outrageous, cottage pie in a ramekin was $18. Server wasn't very friendly, or was just in a bad mood that day. She spent a lot of time in the back (this was between major meal times, around 3:30-4) so she didn't seem super engaged or have much desire to be out on the floor. 3% surcharge for credit card

I like the additional space outside . Their food is really good like the southwest nachos . The "banh mi" is interesting so I had to order it. As I suspected a hoagie bread is not good for a banh mi. It needs a specific crunch and this makes it a bit soggy. The inside part of the sandwich though is really good. Perhap replace it with a baguette or toast the hoagie ? Other than that it tastes really good.

This place was not that busy for a Friday night either. Everything is order at the bar here and the service was great. The bartender explained the drinks and food to us. They got our order in right away and it all came out quick. The food was good, it was a little hard to picture what the food was going to be like from the menu but they put their own unique spin on items. There were a lot of us so we were able to order a lot and try a lot. It was all really good, no complaints. The only thing is I am looking for state fair worthy pickles but these were no where near that. We were told there was not much parking since it's attached to India palace but it was decent when we got there. They had parking in back and in front so at the time we went it wasn't too busy. Overall good experience, this place is great for a big party or we saw lots of couples there enjoying a quiet night out.

The ceiling is decorated with mason jars, which gives the restaurant such a unique and charming feel. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We came to try some Minnesota specialties, including the walleye. Unfortunately, the sauce served with it contains alcohol, so I wasn't able to have it. There wasn't an alternative sauce available, so I had the fish plain. I don't think that really did the walleye justice, so it wasn't my favorite dish. Some of the other items were also a bit hit-or-miss for my personal taste, but that's more about my preferences than the quality of the food. One thing we really loved was the adorable bakery and ice cream counter at the front of the restaurant. Grabbing ice cream before we left was the perfect ending to our meal. One of the dishes included blue cheese, and its flavor was so strong that it overpowered the rest of the meal.
