​Visited the salon with friend for a manicure, pedicure and unfortunately had a very negative experience. While the individual who performed my pedicure did a good job, I was subsequently asked to move ​without explanation to another station for the manicure. Upon moving, no nail tech was there. Later realized I had been asked to move to accommodate a 'regular' customer who was in a rush. Who does that?! And why me among the twenty other women there? Hmm ... Being treated as a secondary priority after having already begun my services is unacceptable. I decided to pay for my pedicure and get my manicure elsewhere; the manager repeatedly questioned my decision, despite her knowing the obvious answer. Didn't respond; just paid the bill, which we were likely overcharged for, and left. I value being treated with respect; unfortunately, this was not my experience at this salon​. My money spends like everyone else's and prefer to spend where I'm not treated like a second-class citizen. After reading some reviews, glad I didn't get my manicure here. read more

While my nails turned out fine and the service was fairly quick, I was disappointed with the lack of transparency around pricing. I was asked to choose a color from a basket, and after I made my selection, the technician began the process without mentioning any additional charges. At one point, she brought out a small magnet and I asked what it was--she replied, "cat-eye," and continued without explaining further. I later discovered this "cat-eye" effect added $15 to my total. At no point was I informed that this would incur an extra fee, nor was I asked if I wanted it. It's frustrating when services are added without consent or clear communication, leaving you surprised at checkout. I made an appointment for a new client , gel manicure service at 2pm. My nail tech was recommended by a family friends friend, so when I arrived and they told me she was running behind, I offered to wait for her instead of trying someone else. Luckily it was only about 20 minutes but the entire appointment also took no longer than 20 minutes. Two days later, my thumb nail peeled and I was very upset because I was leaving for vacation the following night. I called first thing in the morning, and they were able to fit me in to fix it prior to my flight which I appreciated it. Fast forward four days later and all my nails were chipped on vacation. The gel didn't even last 2 weeks. The gel was either not of good quality or the gel manicure itself wasn't placed well. read more

I took my niece to get a French mani & pedi for 9th birthday. A lil tip included on her nail, the shortest cutest nails ever. This place is overpriced they charged me $170 lol I wear long extensions & don't pay this much @ my original nail place. I will never return. It was super pricey. 110 for nails & 60 for toes on a child for gel polish. There are better places near by with better prices. Also, the woman doin my niece toes was discussing us in Spanish, thinking our tan made her comfortable with the idea that we don't speak Spanish. Sad read more

Critical: Quality, Value I will say that these ladies did try to fix their mistake but they should know better than to put a new customer with a new employee, especially if they are doing their nails for their wedding. They took me last minute after my appt got canceled somewhere else. I got a gel and she it put on enough for 3 ppl because my nails were "too short". I originally showed them my design but they didn't have the materials to recreate it. Instead of saying that they tried to dissuade me from doing what i wanted. The lady did a 3rd grader's version before i asked them to take it off and try something else. After 2 hours and sensing my frustration, they put me with Suzie (who i can tell is really good)who tried her best to fix the problem but the foundation was so messed up she could do but so much. The Gel was too thick, the shaping was terrible and the design was sloppy until Suzie took over. They did such a bad job, the next salon redid my nails for free. Unless i can get a seasoned nail tech i will never revisit here. It seems as though only the frequent fliers and perfect nails get good results here. This salon is fantastic. I've been looking for one in the area and I'm so glad it's open. Everyone is extremely friendly. The place is clean which is something i look for when it comes to nail salons. They do powder gel nails but make sure you make an appointment for it. I believe there's only 1 girl who does powder nails. The pedicure lasted a long time. This is definitely my new salon. read more

Yolanda is the absolute best!! My little one also loves to get her nails done here as she get the royal treatment every time. There is plenty of parking in the back (you must pay for it) and the downtown area in Cranford is always one of the best. I have been going here since they opened. read more

My mom was in town from Brooklyn and needed a refill ASAP. I called Sisters nails in the morning and was able to schedule her an appt for 2PM. When I called to make the appt, I felt welcomed already and this was over the phone! Once we entered they checked our temperature and took my mom in right away. No wait time. Amazing!! I noticed they weren't too busy so asked if they could fit me in for a gel mani and sure enough they were able to accommodate me. The lady who did my nails told me that it's rare that they even had an opening because they're always booked. They're very hygienic as they don't use the same nail filer for every person, instead they use a brand new one (which you end up paying $1 for at the end). Then you're responsible for bringing that in every single time. I think this is great honestly and appreciated! I loved my gel mani and my mom loved her acrylic nails. They have lots of color options and they actually listen to you. My mom has been going to another nail salon in Brooklyn for over 20 years now and she said they have never given her what she wanted, they always give her what THEY think she wants. Amazing! I just got engaged and came here yesterday and I have to say I've never loved getting my nails done more! The staff was incredibly friendly and super nice. The lady who did my nails paid so much attention to detail and did such an amazing job! She took her time and it came out great. I made an appointment for 10am during COVID. Upon arrival I had my temp checked & answered questions and then they realized they were double booked. I ended up waiting for them to get the other lady started as she arrived first. I was getting a regular mani and pedi. Sandra did an excellent job on my pedicure. I enjoyed the lavender scented water / scrub / lotion they used! All stations were socially distanced. Got a regular pedicure here and it was great! The man who did it did a great job getting all of my cuticles. He definitely could've done the pommel stone to smooth my feet more because they weren't as smooth as I like after a pedicure but other than that everyone was very friendly. First off Let me say that I use to love this nail salon and had been going to them for about 5-6 months now and never had any problems with my nails. The owner of the salon is very professional and greets you by your name which I loved because it made me feel comfortable and welcomes. Unfortunately I recently had an issue with this salon when I went to usual appointment and got my nails done and even informed the nail tech that these were my wedding nails and that I was getting married that week. I got nails done on Monday 4/25 and the night before my wedding on Wednesday 4/27 my pinky nail gel coating popped off. Not the nail itself but the GEL POLISH! My Wedding was ruined, I had to have my MUA bring me nail glue to glue my pinky nail back on. (INSERTED PHOTO BELOW) I called the Nail salon to see if they could repair my nail and the owner told me they did not have any openings on until Monday 5/2. I had todo a walk-in to speak to the manager in person being that I was leaving on my honeymoon on 4/30. The owner fixed 3 nails and refused todo the whole set over again. Here it is 5/4 and another nail has popped off completely, which is why I insisted the nail tech do all the nails over because I was afraid this would happen. I called the Nail spa today on 5/5 and instead of the owner offering to repair my nails at a discounted price she proceeds to tell me that she does not think the gel acrylic works and insist I get acrylic powder. This nail salon does NOT offer acrylic powder service ,so this is really the owners way of telling me that she does not want to service me anymore. I really tried to avoid writing a review on this issue being that I really liked this nail salon. Instead of trying to come to a conclusion and resolve the issue she brushed me off. I have been going to Sister's Nails religiously over the past 2 1/2 years for gel manicures! The staff is so sweet and the owner, Joyce, greets each customer by name. The salon carries a lot of name-brand gel polishes (Essie, OPI, etc.) and my favorite thing about this salon is that they apply gel polish in very thin coats so your nails don't come out thick and chunky. My nails always last 3+ weeks. I love this place and can't recommend it enough! read more

I've been on a hunt to try to find a new nail salon after the one I've been going to for 22 years was sold. I was excited to try this salon as I heard really great reviews, but I left extremely disappointed. I called the salon and was thrilled that they could get me in on a Saturday afternoon. I was even more thrilled to try an SNS manicure as I've also been looking for a salon that offers that as well. I walked in and they took me right away. I sat down and couldn't even tell you the girls name who did my nails, but I did get the vibe that she might have been relatively new based on my experience. She cleaned up my cuticles beautifully and I was really pleased, although it was a little painful, it always is. She did my dip powder, waited for it to dry and touched a few nails to see if they were dry, when she realized they weren't, there were marks and they had to be redone. After all was said and done and we were finished, the best way I could describe my nails would be "sloppy". Nothing like the images on their Instagram. My nails weren't smooth, you can see lines and scuffing along with marks on my other hand from where she tested to see if they were dry. At the end when I went to pay, I still tipped her 20% because if she was relatively new I understand. I saw customers had a punch card for when you returned to receive a discount, I was never offered one or given one and as soon as I handed my tech her tip she walked away without so much as I goodbye. I was walking out and heard a faint "goodbye" from one of the techs, but I definitely felt they treated their regulars a little better. Sad to say my journey for a new nail salon continues, but I really did want love this place. read more

It was a spur of the moment visit - I was in the area for a different reason - but they were able to take me without an appointment. Super friendly, and I was even able to have a nice conversation with a couple other clients who seemed to be regulars. I usually have issues with how my manicures are done: extremely rough with my cuticles, polish literally falls off my entire nail or starts chipping within days, or lifting from the base. With basic gel polish. But it's been several weeks and the only damage is from where my nail literally broke. Nobody's fault but my own! And I'm a nurse, so very hard on my hands, and my manicure still looks brand new two weeks later. Needless to say, I am going to eagerly make the 45 minute drive back down there. read more

i can not believe how RUDE these women are. It was so embarrassing, every eye in the room was on me because of how the manager treated me. I swear since the moment i stepped in they had a problem with me. All this for a set that looked like nothing i wanted it to. I wish i could go back in time and never even show up to this rude establishment. The pedicure ladies are so kind and i loved them. I only voluntarily tipped them after their kindness with my friend and I. But wow, the manicure issue was insane. the owner RAN OUT of the nail salon and said "EXCUSE ME? YOU TIPPED THE PEDICURE LADY WHY DIDNT YOU TIP THE MANICURE" my friend in my defense explained and she kept saying well you owe her a tip. at this point i just wanted the confrontation to end so i gave her the 10$. she ROLLED HER EYES, SNATCHED IT out of my friends hand, and walks away. This is a grown woman we're talking about. Mind you my friend and I are big tippers. We like to over tip pretty much everywhere we go. We work in a restaurant and understand how important tipping is. so if i dont tip, ITS FOR A REASON. In short it started with the owner? manager? putting her hand in my face and yelling "WAIT" as im talking to her (as soon as i walk in by the way). to then, charging me 100$ for a gel set because it was uv gel when i had no idea what that even was. She put it on my nails without telling me how much the price would increase, after i showed her a picture of a design i wanted. Yet when the pedicure lady did my friends feet she said "this polish is 3$ more is that okay?" so how do they know to remind someone for 3$ but when it came to 100$ the manicure lady kept your mouth closed and put it on my nails. I think they were just trying to get their moneys worth because there was supposed to be another friend coming with us but unfortunately she bailed last second. Thats when she yelled "wait" and did the hand in my face thing because she was trying to show me that the appointment was for 3. I replied with "listen im sorry i was expecting her to be here too. She bailed on me last second. Im not her, but im here for my part in the appointment." I never thought I would spend about $115 on my boyfriend and I to get regular mani/pedi, it feels irresponsible only because the service was simply, not good. to see workers without gloves, without proper tools, with nail polish on display that is already separating (probably because the products are very old or in direct sunlight) I ate the cost and the incomplete/blotchy nail polish on my part. My boyfriend just got clear polish so he was all good. I wasn't very outspoken back then and tbh I was looking forward trying a new salon (the salon I previously went to closed indefinitely during quarantine). I have been going to Suzie for a gel manicure every 2 weeks since they opened a few years ago. My last appointment with her was horrible. She rolled her eyes and was extremely rude when I asked her to do a design. I paid $80.00, including tip, for a gel manicure that started peeling in less than 24 hours. Every day a different nail would peel. If this is how they treat regular customers, I wouldn't want to see how they treat other's. Stay away! read more

It was my first time here and one of the owners (I forget her name) was so sweet and gave my sister and I a small gift. I got the $55 dollar foot spa and it was amazing! Jenny has been my nail technician for over 5 years, and I absolutely love Jenny from a personal level and professional. This Nail Salon is very big on customer service and making each client feel important and priority. Jenny and Susie was at a previous salon and moved to Sister Nails and I think this has been the best thing they could have ever done. Every time I see the ladies they are all happy.
