I was drawn in by their sunglasses (which I bought), but I wanted so much more once I wandered in - the jewelry, in particular! The service was wonderful - everyone that works at the shop is lovely and helpful. It's a small shop, but everything is beautifully displayed and all the goods are gorgeous and well-made. Her space is filled with unique gifts she merchandises from Paris, as well as other fair trade items that support women working in remote locations across the globe. I picked up a beautiful scarf for my momma, as I try to find one for her whenever I'm traveling. Quaint and reasonably priced, there's a little something for everyone, but truly the best part of all is Christine. She's warm and friendly and we immediately fell into a lengthy conversation that made my whole day. If you ever wanted an immediate French bestie, this is the place to find her. Although they do same service without extra charges, I came to Tony a month ahead of a formal wedding. Going on a Friday afternoon, there was no wait. Tony measured, fitted, and built the right tuxedo for me with matching shoes. The cost was around $250. The entire fitting experience took around 20 minutes! This shop has a small but diverse selection of hair, skin, and body care products and cosmetics made by, and for, people of color. (and yes, there is a difference. This melanin needs MOISTURE, honey! And lots of it!). I bought a whipped body butter (I think it was Thai Lemongrass and Coconut scented... something like that) and it had this brownskin feeling so silky smooth... chile! In addition to bath and body products, they also sell candles and other fragrances for the home. The shop has a great collection of tops, tees, onesies (for the littlest queens and kings) and accessories with all kinds of positive and uplifting messaging... as well as some with phrases that you really won't understand if you're not from here (Mumbo Sauce, Go-Go, and Half Smokes, anyone?). I scooped up a dope "Native" shirt, with an image of DC and an artistic rendition of it's flag replacing the "a". (Sometimes you gotta flex on the new neighbors just a lil bit.)
